1 LOCKHART SHOW RING EVENTS 2017 Sunday 24th SEPTEMBER at Lockhart Showground Ringmaster: Bill Allitt Chief Steward: Jodie Green Stable bookings: Liam Smith $10 per night per stall REGULATIONS OF THE LOCKHART SHOW SOCIETY 1. Each member of the Society whose subscription is paid will be entitled to admission to the ground for the member and one guest 2. All exhibitors will pay admission charges into the ground 3. Should there be any reason to suspect that any exhibit is either diseased or dangerous, or objectionable, the Committee reserves the right of removing the same and refusing admittance to the Show 4. Damage through Exhibits The Society will not be responsible for an accident that may be caused through or by any exhibit, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Society blameless and indemnified against legal proceedings arising from any such accident. The Society will not, under any circumstances, hold itself responsible for any loss, damage to, or misdeliver of any exhibits 6. Loss by Disease The entry form will be taken as a guarantee that the animals specified therein are free from disease, so far as is known to the owner, in the case of infectious disease being spread through or by any exhibit, the exhibitor shall be held responsible 7. All protests must be lodged with the Secretary, accompanied by a deposit of two hundred dollars ($200) no later than 4.00 pm on the day of the Show. If the Committee considers the protest frivolous, the deposit may be forfeited. In hearing of all protests and disputes arising out of the award, the Committee shall abide by the Judge s book, unless it be shown the Judges have been wilfully or accidentally misled 8. The Committee will select Judges and Stewards for all Sections and fill any subsequent vacancies. 9 No exhibitor or attendant will be permitted to make unseemly noises that may be considered a nuisance in calling the attention of visitors to their exhibits, and any exhibitor or attendant that may be guilty of distributing any advertising cards or other notices, considered immoral, objectionable, or in any way infringing the privileges, disposed of by the Committee, shall forfeit their space and all other privileges, and shall be removed from the Show Ground. 10. If any person wilfully injures or destroys any property within the Show Grounds of the Society, he or she will be prosecuted and dealt with as the law directs. 11. No exhibitor passes will be issued, except at the discretion of the Committee. 12. No PIC, no entry. 13. Horse handling waiver available at or

3 Agricultural, Pastoral and Show Society of Lockhart Inc Horse Schedule Competitors Please Note: You can only compete in either Open or Show Hunter NOT both 1) No exhibit may compete for 2 Champion sashes in rings 1 and 2. 2) The Lockhart Show Committee reserves the right to amend the program at any time 3) Lockhart Show has a strict policy in regard to inappropriate behaviour. Offenders WILL be advised to RAS Australia and banned from showing at Lockhart in the future. 4) All stallions must be bitted, double tied and handled/ridden by a person over the age of 18 years. 5) Horses must be registered with relevant society and the exhibitor a member of the society; papers must be available if requested. 6) Save time on the day and fill in the indemnity form attached to the schedule or see rule 17. 7) Rings will not be held for anybody 8) Lunch will be 12pm 12.30pm unless advised on the day 9) Garlands donated by Amanshar Pony Stud and Emma s Show Horses. 10) Supreme Rider- Ray Browne Memorial Cash Prize Donated by the Family of the Late Ray Browne eligible to all champion Riders from Rings 1 & 2 11) Supreme Ridden Horse from rings 1& 2 Supreme Ridden Hunter from rings 1 & 2. 12) Supreme Led Breed from ring 4 13) Electric Fencing is now allowed provided it meets the guidelines set down by the ASC. 14) DRUG TESTING OF ANIMALS MAY BE CARRIED OUT AT THE SHOW. 15) In the event of classes clashing competitors must choose - Rings will not be held up. 16) Competitor Number system will be used for both horse and rider. Numbers must be attached to the competitor and visible to the stewards. 17) Entry forms must be legible printed or typed. (They can be filled out online and printed out prior to the show). A fillable online entry form can be found at Waivers Horses 18) Entry fee is payable to the entry secretary of $10* per horse when registering. This allows the horse to compete in unlimited number of eligible events. *PLEASE NOTE: Fun Ring is $2.00 per class.
