2 Stabling: All stalls are roofed, full sized with covered porticos and 4 doors. Stall and tack room doors will accept padlocks. All horses must be stabled. Stall decorations are encouraged, but must not violate State Fire Marshall regulations, nor be damaging to the facility. No nails please. Exhibitors are responsible for any damage to stalls/tack rooms which result in charges to show management. Stalls will be ready for occupancy at Noon Thursday May 2 and must be vacated by 9am on Monday May 6 th under the regular fee schedule. The show and stall office will be open 5pm-9pm on Thursday for check in, and will be open one hour before show time on Saturday, Sunday. Assignment of stalls is on a first come first serve basis. If wishing to stall with another party, please indicate your preference on your entry form. Late entries might not be assigned adjacent stalls. Shavings are available on the show grounds from NM Concessions at Wash Racks: Wash racks available in the palomino barns. Do not wash horses in any other area. Please leave wash racks clean after use. Arena: Fully enclosed indoor arena 117x250. The building contains the horse show and stall office, vendor space, restrooms, and restaurant. Stalls are nearby. The East warmup ring, directly north of the horse arena will be available for your use during the show dates. Camping: There are hookups available on the show grounds, near the horse arena. Anyone desiring an RV spot must contact Expo NM security upon arrival. Arrangements & payment are with and to Expo NM, not the Spring Fiesta Show. RV hookup is $35 per night with electric, water and sewer. Call Food Stand: The Expo NM concessionaire restaurant, attached to the horse arena should be open from 30 minutes before the show until the end of the show on show days. No beer or alcohol may be brought onto the showgrounds. Smoking: No smoking will be allowed in the barns, on deck, in the arena or inside any building on the Expo NM showgrounds. Pets: No dogs or other pets are allowed in the horse arena at any time. Pets must be on a leash or secured at all times while on the Expo NM grounds. Owners assume all liability. Vendors: Vendor spaces are available inside the horse arena at a cost of $45. Outside vendors must be set up with Expo NM and have additional fees. No vending of food, drinks, or horse feed. Horses will be measured in accordance with AMHA rules. Friday from 6:00pm-8:00pm, measuring Saturday & Sunday at 7:00am. Hardship measuring will be Saturday & Sunday starting at 7:00am. Paperwork: Copies of registration papers, front & back, must be included with entries. New Mexico horses require current health certificates within 30 days. Out Of State horse s require coggins and a health certificate. Youth Classes: All youth must have an AMHA youth number. Youth card applications are in the show office. Youth membership fee is $15 if applying at the show and lasts until the Youth ages out of the program. Amateur Classes: An AMHA Amateur card is required to participate in Amateur classes. Amateur cards are $15 for members and $55 for non members. Applications available in the show office. Amateurs showing in Amateur/AOTE classes must be owner of the horse or an immediate family member. AOTE horses must not have been handled by a professional handler under any circumstance since December 31, Liability Statement: New Mexico Rio Grande Classic, its officers, officials and employees will not be responsible for any accident or loss which may occur to an exhibitor, spectator, guest, driver, groom, attendant, or other employee, animal or equipment at this show. THIS SHALL BE A CONDITION OF ENTRY to this show or show grounds. Evidence of any cruelty, abuse, or inhumane treatment to a horse, in or out of the ring, will not be tolerated by Show Management and shall result in disqualification of the horse and that exhibitor for the rest of the show. The offender will be barred from the show area of the duration of the show. The results shall be the forfeiture of all trophies. Ribbons, awards, and points for that show. The show manager will notify ASPC/AMHR of any such disqualifications when the show results are

3 reported. Un-Sportsmanship conduct will result in exhibitor to be disqualified and/or barred from the remainder of the show and will not be refunded entry fees. Pre-Entries: Pre entries must be postmarked by April 20 th, Post-Entries: Post entries will be accepted up to 4 classes preceding the class to be entered. Post Entry Fees: Additional $5 per class. Gate & Tack Holds: Tack changes will be five minutes and must be turned into the show manager prior to the start of the show. Once gate has been opened, a two minute gate will start. If you miss your class there will be no refunds. Refunds: There will be no refunds on stalls, office, or late fees after the entry closing date. Refunds for entry fees will only be made with a vet certificate stating the reason for the horse not being able to show. This certificate must be received in the show office during the show. A vet certificate will not be accepted after the show is over. Approved refunds will be mailed within 30 days after the conclusion of the show. Substitutions will be accepted without penalty. PA system: It is the owner/handler/exhibitors responsibility to be on time for classes. Announcements to the barn area are a management courtesy. Show Requirements: All participating horses must be AMHA registered. Stallions 3 Years and older must have a stallion certificate in order to participate. Valid AMHA registrations, youth/amateur numbers, current coggins (within 1 year) and health certificate within 30 days on all horses must be provided. Foals 6 months & younger do not require a coggins. This show is accredited and conducted under the 2019 rules and regulations of AMHA. Ribbons will be awarded for 1 st -6 th place. Championship ribbons will be awarded for Grand Champions & Reserves.
