This years ride will be held in Magoffin County Creek Road, Salyersville, KY Chili Dogs, Fried KY Border Bologna Sandwiches, Chips & Desserts will be served after the ride. All donations will be greatly appreciated. HORSE SHOWS 20 II on KY Route 3333 at Mike Francis Farm, 2179 Pricey KNGHA is planning to have High Point classes in at least 5 shows this year. We will list each Show Billon our website and in future newsletters, when they become available. So far, the secured dates are as follows: June 18th - Magoffin Co. Show Ring, Salyersville, KY June 5th - Morgan Co. Equestrian Park, West Liberty, KY July 23rd - Morgan Co. Equestrian Park, West Liberty, KY August 20th - Morgan Co. Fairgrounds, West Liberty, KY KNGHA's five High Point Classes are: KNGHA Trail Pleasure (3/8" x 3/4" shoes, EnglishIWestern) KNGHA Country Pleasure (3/8" x 3/4" shoes, EnglishIWestern) KNGHA Show Style Pleasure (3/8" x I" - 160z. 2 Page 2 KY NATURAL GAITED HORSE ASSOCIATION HIGH POINTS For those members who love the Show Ring, KNGHA would like to give you an extra incentive to compete in the High Point Classes for 20 II. We would like to announce that this year the High Point Winners will receive a cash award of $200. This award will be given to the Ist place winners in all 5 divisions: Trail Pleasure, Country Pleasure, Show Style Pleasure, KY Style Rack & Style Pleasure. ** Eligibility for High Points: must present Registration papers at each High Point Show, Also, Owner & Rider must be active members** The High Point system is based on 100 points possible for each class. The points are broken down by placements: I st place - I 00 points 2nd place - 75 points 3rd place - 50 points 4th place - 40 points 5th - place 30 points An award of 20 points participation thereafter. Awards will be given at our Annual Fellowship Dinner, date & time will be announced later. GENERATION SPECIAL KNGHA is continuing our Generation Special on registration of Parent Proven Horses, in order to encourage the registration of offspring's. The association's goal is to preserve this horse through DNA Testing & to become an established breed. University of Kentucky reports that 5 generations of DNA Testing is necessary to have the sample size necessary to become a breed. We are well on our way of meeting this goal but there are still numerous horses out there that could be registered as parent proven. To be considered for parent proven a horse must have at least one parent registered with KNGHA and DNA Testing conducted. So, to encourage these registrations we are continuing to run the special on reduced registration fees for parent proven horses. The prices are as follows & this does include DNA Testing: 2nd Generation: $60 3rd Generation: $ 55 4th Generation: $50 5th Generation: $45 The registration fee for non-parent proven Stallions & Mares remain the same - $75, and $40 Geldings. 5th Generation
