2 IMPORTANT INFORMATION ARRIVAL & REMOVAL OF HORSES Horses will not be permitted to enter the Showground bee 8.00 am on Tuesday 29 August under any circumstances. Entry horses is via the Leader Street entrance. Only the driver will be admitted free but will be required to produce a pass when re-entering the Showground after removal of their vehicle once the Show has commenced. Caravans will not be permitted on the Showground. Only horses accepted competition are permitted on the Showground. SHOWTIME ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES From 8.00 am on Tuesday 29 August to 9.30 pm on Thursday 31 August all arrivals to enter via Leader Street Gate. From 6.00 am till 9.30 pm, Thursday 31 August to Sunday 10 September all arrivals and departures to enter via Leader Street 3 Car Park. From 9.30 pm till 6.00 am, Thursday 31 August to Sunday 10 September all arrivals and departures to enter via Leader Street Gate. An exit permit and departure time must be obtained from the Stabling Co-ordinator prior to departure. Exhibitors may not remove their horse/s bee a Grand Parade (if programmed). During the Show, no horse is permitted onto the Showground prior to the night bee the first day of allocated stabling. PARKING ON THE SHOWGROUND IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED For the loading and unloading of exhibits, a duration limit of 45 minutes cars and floats and 60 minutes trucks is allowed. In 2017, an Infringement Notice will be issued should the time limit be exceeded. Prior to arrival, the exhibitor must record the vehicle registration, the name of the responsible person (driver) and their mobile phone number on the Vehicle Permit (provided by the Society). Exhibitors who do not display the Vehicle Permit and do not provide correct inmation on the Vehicle Permit, will not be permitted to enter the Showground. The Vehicle Permit must be displayed in clear view on the dashboard of the vehicle upon entering the Showground and while loading and unloading. All cars, floats and trucks must be removed from the Showground by 8.30 am daily. There is no vehicle access to the Showground between 6.00 am and 9.30 pm during the Royal Adelaide Show. Failure to comply with this ruling and/or pay any fee incurred by 31 December 2017 may result in refusal of entries future Shows. 3 IMPORTANT INFORMATION PLEASE REFER TO THE 2017 HORSES IN ACTION TIMETABLE TO DETERMINE WHICH DAYS YOU REQUIRE STABLING AND LOCKERS. The onus is on the exhibitor to ensure the correct days are indicated on the Stabling & Locker Request Form. Pony hack/show hunter pony exhibitors who also exhibit hacks and/or show hunter horses, Galloway hacks and/or Galloway show hunters, MAY be permitted to remain on the Showground after Monday 3 September (subject to availability of stalls and lockers) Pony hack/show hunter pony exhibitors who DO NOT also exhibit hacks, Galloway hacks and/or show hunter horses or galloways must depart the Showground on Monday 5 September or bee 8.00 am on Tuesday 5 September. Hack and/or show hunter horse and Galloway hack and/or Galloway show hunter exhibitors who also exhibit pony hacks and/or show hunter ponies MAY be permitted to arrive from Tuesday 30 August (subject to availability of stalls and lockers) Hack and/or show hunter horse and Galloway hack and/or Galloway show hunter exhibitors who DO NOT also exhibit pony hacks and/or Show Hunter ponies cannot arrive at the Showground until Monday 4 September Harness and Showjumping exhibitors may arrive from 8.00 am on Tuesday 29 August but must depart the Showground no later than 6.00 pm on Sunday 10 September. Racehorse to Showhorse exhibitors may arrive on Thursday 7 September or Friday 8 September. All horses must vacate the Showground by 6.00 pm on Sunday 10 September. Exhibitors must indicate their arrival and departure dates on the Stabling & Locker Allocation Form and return with entry ms.. Requests received after the closing date of entry will not be accepted under any circumstances. MEASURING Horse measuring times will be as follows: Wednesday 30 August to Friday 1 September am to 5.00 pm Saturday 2 September to Sunday 3 September am to 5.00 pm Monday 4 September to Friday 8 September am to 5.00 pm Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September am to 9.30 am Exhibitors must produce their registration papers at the time of measuring to prove identity of horse. The maximum time given to any one animal in the measuring bay is 10 minutes. Exhibitors are reminded that measuring is an essential part of competition and theree all rules and regulations apply. Following the recording of a measurement, exhibitors may apply to the RA&HS of SA Inc to receive a certificate stating the recorded measurement where a fee of $20 will apply. Once the certificate is issued, the exhibitor is permitted to use the certificate whatever purpose they choose, provided the exhibitor acknowledges that the Society accepts no responsibility the accuracy of the measurement following the Royal Adelaide Show permance and that the certificate has a 12 month currency expiring one week prior to the immediate and following years programmed Royal Adelaide Show commencement date. 5 HORSES-IN-ACTION CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES FRIDAY 19 MAY 2017 at 5.00 pm CST SECTION 4 S & RACEHORSE TO SHOWHORSE ONLY - FRIDAY 7 JULY 2017 AT 5.00 PM (CST) CLOSING DATE OF ENTRIES The following conditions will strictly apply: All entry ms, whether posted, lodged in person or completed on-line must be in the Society s possession at its Administration Office by 5.00 pm on the dates stated above. When sending entry ms and fees by post, the onus is on the exhibitor to ensure adequate delivery time A $20 processing fee will be charged on every paper entry m (ie) per exhibitor A late entry option is available under the following conditions: o Late entries may only be submitted online and will be accepted 7 days after the official closing date (by 5.00 pm CST) o An additional fee equivalent to three times the standard entry fee is paid. Entry ms by or facsimile are strictly bidden and will be destroyed. Absolutely no exception to the above conditions will be made to any exhibitor under any circumstance. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES Entries submitted online will be acknowledged via . For postal entries, if you require mal acknowledgement that your entry has been received please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope with your entry m. PAYMENT OF FEES When paying fees by cheque or credit card, exhibitors must ensure that sufficient funds are available at the time of entry. Failure to do so may result in non-acceptance of entries. Make cheques payable to RA&HS and post with completed entry m. REFUNDS No refund of entry fees,stabling or locker fees will be made after an exhibitor has been notified of the acceptance of their horse. Membership may be refunded by returning all badges and tickets bee the commencement of the Show. Fees horses, galloways or ponies which a nomination is made and the entry not accepted shall be refunded MINUS A $20 Administration Fee. MEMBERSHIP Exhibitors must be members of the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of SA Inc. except exhibitors competing in Rider/Driver classes only; World Cup Showjumping only; Section 4 s only or Racehorse to Showhorse only. Membership fees: Adults $156, Juniors $53 (under 18). Membership of other Royal Show Societies does not exempt exhibitors. The RA&HS reserves the right to inm prize sponsors of the details of recipients to enable distribution of their voucher/ product prizes. Please note: by ticking the box to suppress your details, your name will appear in the Catalogue (if applicable) but your address will not.

6 4 HORSES IN ACTION GENERAL REGULATIONS Exhibitors are reminded that the Society s General Regulations apply to all sections of the Show. A copy of the General Regulations can be obtained from the Society s website at or from the Society s Administration Office. Exhibitors should note that the General Regulations contain a number of provisions relevant to competitions and this Schedule including but not limited to, offences, penalties, prohibited drugs. As those conditions apply in addition to the regulations contained within this schedule, Exhibitors should familiarise themselves with the General Regulations. SPECIAL REGULATIONS Exhibitors are reminded that the Special Regulations contained within this Schedule are merely supplementary to and subject to the General Regulations. The members of the Society s Horse Committee shall have the power on behalf of the Society to take any necessary action under these Special Regulations. SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES Exhibitors must state on each entry m the class number (as per schedule) and the name, colour, sex and registered number of each horse. Horses in each class must be named excepting where the rider only is to be judged. A $20 administration fee will be levied on every incorrect or incomplete entry (including online entries) NOTICE 1. It is a condition of your entry that the Society reserves the right to accept, reject or cancel any entry at any time without being bound to give any reason theree. 2. Any exhibitor who supplies incorrect inmation on an entry m is liable to disqualification. ENTIRES An entire horse, galloway or pony will not be permitted to compete in sections other than Jumping and Harness classes. BIRTH CERTIFICATE In a class which an age limit is specified, the birth certificate of each competitor must be produced at the time of making an entry. If this certificate has been produced previously it is unnecessary to do so again TRANSFERS Please ensure exhibits are entered in the correct class at the time of entry. No exhibit will be transferred to another class after the closing date of entries. Exhibits may be transferred height (or weight in harness classes) reasons only after being measured by the official Society measurer. If an exhibit measures over or under the height class/es in which they entered, they must nominate which class/es they wish to transfer to when there is no equivalent class. REGISTRATION All horses, galloways and ponies entered in any class must be registered with Equestrian Australia (hereafter referred to as the EA), Show Horse Council of Australasia or any other organisations acceptable to the Committee. A photocopy, back and front, of the current Registration certificate must be produced when lodging entries all horses, galloways or ponies, including those registered within South Australia.. Entries submitted online must have the registration papers attached bee the entry/ies are submitted. Harness, Sidesaddle and Section 4's exhibits only, are exempt from these registration requirements. OWNERSHIP All exhibits must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor or held by the exhibitor under a written and recorded lease at the time of entry. ENTRY PASSES One day exhibitors competing in Rider, Sidesaddle, Section 4s and Racehorse to Showhorse classes will receive a One-Day Pass each day of competition. An extra one-day pass will be issued exhibitors with 3 or more horses. Exhibitors competing in only World Cup classes ie: Warm-up and World Cup Qualifier, will receive 2 one-day passes one horse and up to four one day passes two or more horses. Members exhibiting 3 or less horses will not be provided with any additional passes. If additional passes are required, members can purchase extra guest passes or pre-paid tickets at a reduced rate. Members exhibiting more than three horses will receive 1 extra full Show pass. If additional passes are required, members can purchase extra guest passes or pre-paid tickets at a reduced rate

7 HORSES IN ACTION 5 WITHDRAWALS All withdrawals must be made in writing and can be sent via to: entries@adelaideshowground. com.au or faxed to (08) ed withdrawals must include Withdrawal in the subject line and the section (eg Horse Section), exhibitor name, class number, exhibit number (if known) and exhibit name (if applicable). No refund of fees will be made after an exhibitor has been notified of the acceptance of their horse. A $20 Administration Fee will be levied on withdrawals made bee notification of acceptance. PENALTY FOR NON EXHIBITION OF ANIMALS Following advice from the Society of acceptance of their nomination/s, any exhibitor whose exhibit becomes unable to compete any reason must notify the Society in writing prior to the first day of the Royal Adelaide Show, that their exhibit/s are unable to compete. Exhibitors who fail to scratch prior to the Royal Adelaide Show will be fined $200 each exhibit not scratched and may be disqualified from competing at future Royal Adelaide Shows. S Prize ribbons will be as listed in each category. In pairs classes ribbons will be awarded to each placed horse. Champions will be selected from first prize winners and Reserve Champions from remaining first prize winners and the second prize winner in the class that supplied the Champion. PAYMENT OF MONEY It is the preference of the RA&HS that any prize money won during the Royal Adelaide Show is paid by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). The Exhibitor should provide the BSB, Account Number and Account Name on the space provided on the entry m. Amounts of $15 or under will only be paid by this method. Exhibitors not requesting payment by EFT amounts greater than $15 will be paid by cheque. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHEQUES WILL BE MADE OUT IN THE NAME OF THE EXHIBITOR. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT IN THE NAME YOU HAVE ENTERED UNDER, YOU WILL NEED TO BE PAID VIA EFT. MONEY WILL BE PAID AT THE END OF OCTOBER. To assist the Society, would you please ensure any cheques issued are deposited promptly into a bank account. Replacement prize cheques will be issued up to 15 December 2017 however a fee of $10 may be charged. If the cheque to be replaced is not returned then an additional fee will be charged to cover the cost of cancellation. Any concerns regarding prize money must be raised with the Society by 15 December. It is a term and condition of the payment of any prize by RA&HS that any cheque issued and provided in payment of a prize must be presented by the payee payment within fifteen (15) months of the date upon which the cheque is issued otherwise the cheque shall become stale and of no value and the prize shall be deemed to have been feited by the payee and RA&HS shall no longer be liable to pay the prize. Any trophy, prize or prize money not claimed by 15 December of the current year shall be deemed feited by the exhibitor and the RA&HS shall no longer be liable to pay or provide the prize. MONEY AND GST Prize money as stated in the Prize Schedule does not include GST. The prize money which we pay to successful exhibitors depends on inmation provided to us. If you confirm that you are GST registered and provide your Australian Business Number (ABN), we will pay the appropriate prize money plus 10% GST. We will provide you with a Recipient Created Tax Invoice which you will need to submit to the Australian Taxation Office. In entering the competition, you acknowledge your agreement to the following: You will not issue a tax invoice to the RA&HS in respect to prize money received; You will notify the RA&HS if you cease to be registered GST. If you provide your Australian Business Number but are not registered GST, we will pay the prize money as detailed in the Prize Schedule without reference to the GST. If you confirm you are entering as part of a private recreational pursuit or hobby, we will pay the prize money as detailed in the Prize Schedule without reference to GST.

8 6 HORSES IN ACTION IMPORTANT It is important that you either: Confirm you are entering as part of a private recreational pursuit or hobby, or Confirm you are entering as a GST registered business and supply your ABN Failure to do either of the above will cause the RA&HS to withhold 48.5% of your prize money in accordance with Australian tax legislation. The RA&HS is not a tax consultant and theree assumes no liability actions taken as a result of these guidelines. In any instances where an entrant or sponsor is uncertain of the tax implications of their involvement, they should consult their own accountant or tax advisor. The Society makes every endeavour to ensure all prizes listed are accurate at the time of printing. Should a prize (cash, voucher, product, trophy) be withdrawn by a sponsor subsequent to printing, the Society will pay prize money as stated above. It is the responsibility of the prize winner to followup with the Society any sponsored prize (cash, voucher, product, trophy) they believe they are entitled to prior to Friday, 15 December The Society will not follow-up prize sponsors after this date or review any prizes that may have been incorrectly awarded. PROPERTY IDENTIFICATION CODE Property Identification Codes (PIC's) are compulsory all horse exhibitors. Failure to provide your PIC will result in your entry being refused. For more inmation or to register, contact BioSecurity SA on or visit ENTRIES In all classes, unless four or more nominations are received, the Committee reserves the right the cancel or merge the class. PERFORMANCES Permances of each horse, galloway or pony must be stated on the entry m Harness, Hack, Show Hunter and Jumping classes. The schedule of classes is divided into seven main sections. 1. Rider/Driver Classes 2. Harness classes. 3. Hack classes. 4. Show Hunter classes. 5. Jumping contest (groups A, B and C). 6. Section 4 s 7. Racehorse to Showhorse A separate entry and permance m is required each section each horse, galloway or pony nominated. From the inmation contained on the entry m the Society will determine which entries are to be accepted. If incomplete inmation is warded, the permance will not be recognised. The Society will then advise all nominators whether their nomination is accepted as an entry competition at this year s Royal Adelaide Show in the class or classes stated. The Society will not consider any further permances or inmation which is warded, after entries have closed. PERFORMANCES RECOGNISED The Society will only recognise permances at shows which are affiliated with the Equestrian Australia, Agricultural Shows affiliated with the Federal Council of Agricultural Societies and the Show Horse Council of Australasia. The onus is on the exhibitor to only list permances from recognised Shows. Exhibitors entering Hack classes must qualify and compete as a Hack only. Exhibitors entering Hunter classes must qualify and compete as a Hunter only. HORSES MAY NOT COMPETE IN BOTH HACK AND HUNTER CLASSES Exhibitors are urged to read the following to ensure permances listed on entry ms meet the acceptance requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFYING PERFORMANCES HACK & HUNTER CLASSES (eligibility entry) No more than two (2) Hack or Show Hunter rings at any one show will be considered qualifications. Competitors must obtain the minimum permances listed below to qualify the Royal Adelaide Show competition Hack, Galloway Hack, Pony Hack, Hunter, Galloway Hunter, Pony Hunter and Equestrian classes: Three (3) first placings in an open height or weight or Lady's or Gentleman's class in the current season (ie) 22 May 2016 to 19 May 2017 at three (3) separate agricultural shows

9 HORSES IN ACTION 7 affiliated with the Agricultural Societies Council. No more than one (1) win per day per show will be accepted as a qualifying permance. OR Two (2) first placings and two (2) second placings in an open height or weight or Lady's or Gentleman's class in the current season (ie) 22 May 2016 to 19 May 2017 at four (4) separate agricultural shows affiliated with the Agricultural Societies Council. No more than one (1) win/placing per day per show will be accepted as a qualifying permance. OR One (1) first placing and four (4) second placings in an open height or weight or Lady's or Gentleman's class in the current season (ie) 22 May 2016 to 19 May 2017 at five (5) separate agricultural shows affiliated with the Agricultural Societies Council. No more than one (1) win/placing per day per show will be accepted as a qualifying permance. OR Six (6) second placings in an open height or weight or Lady's or Gentleman's class in the current season (ie) 22 May 2016 to 19 May 2017 at six (6) separate agricultural shows affiliated with the Agricultural Societies Council. No more than one (1) placing per day per show will be accepted as a qualifying permance. Any Champion Hack, Champion Galloway Hack, Champion Pony Hack, Champion Show Hunter Horse, Champion Show Hunter Galloway or Champion Show Hunter Pony gained at any capital city Royal Show (including State and Territory capital city Royal Shows but excluding the Melbourne Summer Royal) in the 12 months prior to the closing date of entries will gain automatic acceptance to compete at the thcoming Royal Adelaide Show. Qualified Hacks and Show Hunters may also enter Smartest on Parade and Leading Rein classes. OBTAINING THE MINIMUM QUALIFYING PERFORMANCES DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE FOR COMPETITION. LEADING REIN & RIDDEN SHETLAND PONY CLASSES Exhibitors wishing to compete ONLY in a Leading Rein class must obtain Three (3) first placing s in Leading Rein class in the current season (ie) 22 May 2016 to 19 May 2017 at three (3) separate agricultural shows affiliated with the Agricultural Societies Council. No more than one (1) win per day per show will be accepted as a qualifying permance. Exhibitors wishing to compete ONLY in Ridden Shetland Pony classes must obtain Three (3) first placing s in a ridden Shetland Pony class in the current season (ie) 22 May 2016 to 19 May 2017 at three (3) separate agricultural shows affiliated with the Agricultural Societies Council. No more than one (1) win per day per show will be accepted as a qualifying permance. ADDITIONAL PERFORMANCES HACK AND SHOW HUNTER Exhibitors are advised to list additional winning permances to nominate acceptance in the Royal Adelaide Show competition Hack, Galloway Hack, Pony Hack, Show Hunter Horse, Show Hunter Galloway and Show Hunter Pony classes. It is expected that entries will be high and additional permances will be required in the event of a ballot. Permances must be achieved at: Shows affiliated with the Federal Council of Agricultural Societies. Placings 1 to 6 in any ridden Hack or Show Hunter class (competing singly) at any Royal Show (including State and Territory capital city Royal Shows but excluding the Melbourne Summer Royal) Wins in any ridden Hack or Show Hunter class (competing singly) in the current season at EA or EA affiliated shows. Wins in any ridden Hack or Show Hunter class (competing singly) in the current season at Show Horse Council or Show Horse Council affiliated shows. These permances will only be recognised as winning permances after the minimum qualifying permances have been achieved.

10 8 HORSES IN ACTION Events which do NOT count as acceptable permances (at shows other than State or Territory capital city Royal Shows) are: a. Maiden classes b. Hack or Hunter classes restricted by breed, colour or age. c. Hack or Hunter classes restricted by a district. d. Classes at unaffiliated events. e. Pleasure and/or education and/or paced classes. f. Riding and/or turnout classes g. Consolation Hack or Hunter classes h. Pairs, teams etc classes. i Child s classes. j. Combined training classes k. Pony Club classes l. Novice Champion and/or Novice Hack or Hunter classes m. Elementary classes n. Intermediate classes o. Leading Rein and/or Smartest on Parade classes. p. Newcomer classes. FROM THE PERFORMANCES LISTED ON THE ENTRY FORM, THE SOCIETY WILL AT ITS DISCRETION, DETERMINE ACCEPTANCE. All rules and regulations relating to the Horse section are subject to change without notice. HARNESS CLASSES: Exhibitors must state harness permances of horses entered. The Society reserves the right to determine which horses are accepted. Harness horses entered other classes must qualify those classes. JUMPING: Exhibitors must state their best six permances from 13 May 2016 until 11 May 2017 along with their best six permances prior to 13 May 2016 ONLY. SECTION 4S (TEAMS AND INDIVIDUALS): No permances are required. RACEHORSE TO SHOWHORSE: No permances are required. TIMETABLE A timetable of all classes and events is enclosed. When entering Horses in Action classes, please be aware that due to the complicated nature of programming, there are likely to be clashes between some classes. We are aware of these and every endeavour has been made to eliminate them, where possible. However, due to as many as four rings being run at the same time, it is not possible to eliminate all clashes. Theree, where these occur, the exhibitor may have to make a choice between one class and the other. The Committee reserves the right to substitute, vary the time of, alter or abandon any event in the day or night programmes. The Committee reserves the right to conduct elimination tests in any event at any time, on due notice. Exhibitors entered in other categories must give 24 hours notice of a potential conflict in the programming. Depending on entry numbers, classes may commence at 8.30 am. STALLS & LOCKERS For price inmation on stalls and lockers, please refer to page 2. THE ONUS IS ON THE EXHIBITOR TO ENSURE STALLS AND LOCKERS ARE BOOKED FOR THE CORRECT DAYS. Unless a horse is nominated and competes in at least two events excluding rider classes a stall will not be allocated. A limited number of stalls and lockers are available on the Showground. Due to the limited lockers available exhibitors onsite, we urge our exhibitors to consider their accommodation requirements 2017 and plan accordingly The Society will, subject to availability, allocate stalls and lockers as soon as practicable after the acceptance of entries. Depending on entries received local horses may not get a stall. The Society reserves the right to alter this allocation at any time should such action be considered necessary, and may allocate another stall or locker to the exhibitor. Applications stalls and lockers must be lodged at time of entry. Exhibitors with less than five horses may apply one locker only. Exhibitors with less than four horses will not be allotted a large locker. These fees will apply whether locker is shared or not.

11 HORSES IN ACTION 9 Should the number of applications received exceed the number of lockers which are available, the Society will require exhibitors with one horse to share a locker with another exhibitor. Exhibitors with one horse are requested to indicate on the Stabling/Locker Request m with whom they would be prepared to share a locker if required. If exhibitors do not state a name, the sharing will be determined by the Society. Exhibitors must pay a $25 locker key deposit at the time of entry. The deposit will be refunded upon return of the key and lock upon departure. Failure to return the key and lock or if the key or lock is lost, the deposit will be feited. Unauthorised removal of the padlock will also result in feiture of the deposit. The key the locker allocated will be given to the exhibitor by the Stabling Co-ordinator. Requests received after closing date of entries will not be considered. Stables are to be used the sole purpose of stabling horses only, the use of the stable any other purpose such as accommodation, storage of fodder, bedding or tack etc is strictly bidden. Any exhibitor acting in breach of this regulation may be fined $200 each stable per day and may, at the discretion of the Committee, be disqualified from competing at the current Show, in which event any Award that the exhibitor may have won at that Show is also feited. An exhibitor who has not occupied the stable that has been allocated to that exhibitor by 8.00 am on the day of allocation is advised that the stable will be deemed vacant and all payment received by the RA&HS in association with the stable/s will be feited. The stall will likely be reallocated to an alternative exhibitor. Whilst the Society will consider stabling requests, no guarantee is made that they will be met. Horses which are nominated in one or two classes only may be removed on the day on which they have competed but not bee a Grand Parade (if programmed). Stalls will not be allotted these horses and exhibitors must notify the Society at the time of lodging entries that the horse will be removed. Exhibitors of horses which have been allocated a stall may remove their horses at a time approved by the Stabling Co-ordinator (but not bee a Grand Parade) providing a deposit of $50 is lodged with the Society. This deposit will be refunded provided that the horse is returned bee 8.00 am on the following day. CARE OF STALLS/LOCKERS Numbers or any other identification marks which may have been placed on or in a stall or box by the Society, whether by placard, painting, posting or any other means, must not be removed, disfigured or altered in any way, nor shall any other notice, number or mark be placed in or upon any stall or box other than by the order of the Society. Screens, rugs or any other obstruction which may obscure the interior of the stall to the public must not be used during daylight hours. Stalls shall be used only by animals entered competition and the purpose which they have been allocated to the exhibitor. The consumption of intoxicating liquor in lockers and adjacent areas is bidden. The observance of the above regulations will be the responsibility of the exhibitor. Infringement of these regulations will result in the cancellation of the stall or locker in question. STALL CLEANING Exhibitors will, to the satisfaction of the Society: 1. Keep each stall allotted to them and their animals in a clean and proper condition throughout the Show. 2. Clean out their stalls regularly. Refuse must be deposited in manure bins provided. 3. Manure must not be deposited in alleyways or general purpose rubbish bins. 4. General purpose rubbish must not be deposited in manure bins. BEDDING 1. Sawdust and/or shavings will be the only horse bedding used on the Showgrounds. 2. The cost of bedding is included in the stall fees. 3. Exhibitors of hacks occupying a stall in the second half of the Show will be issued two bedding tickets by the Stabling Co-ordinator at the time of stall allocation.

12 10 HORSES IN ACTION 4. Exhibitors may buy additional bags of sawdust and/or shavings from the fodder store during the Show. ALTERNATIVE STABLING Alternative stabling is available at the Metropolitan Showjumping Club, cnr Warren Ave & Tapleys Hill Road, Glenelg North. For more inmation and bookings, contact Greg Crocker on or MEASURING All horses, galloways and ponies entered in a class with a height restriction, whether it be an upper or lower limit, must be measured by the measuring steward bee competing. Exhibitors must produce their registration papers, which must be checked to belong to the horse presented, bee a measurement can be taken. All horses, galloways and ponies will be measured at the highest point of the wither. The poll shall not be lower than the highest point of the wither at the time of measurement. An allowance of 10 mm shoes will be observed. Should an exhibit be measured with shoes on, and the exhibitor disagrees with the measuring steward, the exhibitor may have the animal re-measured without shoes. Any exhibit having passed the measuring steward its class shall not be eligible a class of a different height. The maximum time given to any one animal in the measuring bay is 10 minutes. The responsibility is on the competitor to advise the Arena Co-ordinator if a horse is transferred to a class of a different height. Failure to do so will preclude entry into that class. The Society may refuse to measure any horse presented measuring if in its opinion the horse is not in a fit and proper condition to be measured or if in its opinion any circumstances exist which are likely to lead to the horse being incorrectly measured. The Society shall not be required to give any reason the exercise of the discretion hereby conferred. The Committee reserves the right to re-measure horses at any time during the Royal Show. Following the recording of a measurement, exhibitors may apply to the RA&HS of SA Inc to receive a certificate stating the recorded measurement where a fee of $20 will apply. Once the certificate is issued, the exhibitor is permitted to use the certificate whatever purpose they choose, provided the exhibitor acknowledges that the Society accepts no responsibility the accuracy of the measurement following the Royal Adelaide Show permance and that the certificate has a 12 month currency expiring one week prior to the immediate and following years programmed Royal Adelaide Show commencement date. STANDARD HEIGHTS Hacks - over 15 hands (1524 mm). Galloways - over 14 hands (1422 mm) and not exceeding 15 hands (1524 mm). Ponies - not exceeding 14 hands (1422 mm). Horses that are not up to standard. 2. Horses not exhibited in Show condition. 3. Horses not given proper attention during the Show. 4. Riders who disregard an instruction from the Stewards. NUMBERS In all classes competitors must wear a distinguishing number supplied by the Society corresponding to the number in the programme. Numbers must be worn on the chest of the horse in rider classes. Numbers the full period of the Show will be available from 8.00 am on the Tuesday preceding the opening of the Show and may be collected from the Stabling Co-ordinator. These numbers shall be retained by the competitor. If a competitor loses a number during the Show it will be replaced at a cost of $5.

13 HORSES IN ACTION 11 ELIGIBILITY Each horse, galloway, or pony competing in pair and team classes must be nominated separately on the entry m, and exhibitors may pair with other entries received the same class. If a pair separately owned gains a prize, the prize will be divided. A horse, galloway or pony will not be permitted to compete more than once in any one pair class. A horse, galloway or pony which has won in a pair class is still considered a novice a single class. The Committee may restrict riders in jumping classes to riding a maximum of three horses, galloways or ponies. In Hack events, excluding championships, a competitor will not be permitted to ride more than one horse, galloway or pony in each class. Substitution of any horse, galloway or pony will not be permitted in any event. JUDGING The Society reserves the right to substitute a Judge when deemed necessary. Persons other than judges and stewards are not permitted in the ring. Horses must not enter the ring unless called by the stewards or a Society representative. Winkers will not be permitted except in harness classes. Top reins and/or head checks are permitted except Shetland Classes where head checks are NOT permitted. Any animal which in the opinion of the stewards is considered dangerous, will be removed from the ring. The competing horse s name must not appear on the browband. Exhibitors who fail to comply with any direction given by a Society representative may be fined. CHAMPIONSHIPS Entries eligible Champion and Reserve Champion awards must be presented to the judge unless exemption has been granted by the Committee. Entries which are not presented will feit the award and prize money in the class in which they gained championship eligibility. Entries eligible Champion and Reserve Champion awards must compete under the same criteria under which they became eligible. Winners of novice classes are not eligible championship awards. PROTESTS Protests against awards must be lodged in writing with the Chief Executive within one hour of the announcement of results. Protests in all cases must be accompanied by a deposit of $100 at time of lodging. The deposit will be feited to the Society should the protest be deemed frivolous. OFFENCES 1. Any person who: (a) provides the Society with false inmation relating to their qualifications to compete or the qualifications of their child under 18 years of age to compete; (b) provides the Society with false inmation relating to an exhibit; (c) misrepresents the identity of an exhibit; (d) does any act or thing which is intended to or is likely to result in an exhibit being incorrectly identified; (e) does any act or thing which is intended to or is likely to result in an exhibit being incorrectly measured; (f) presents an exhibit measuring when that exhibit has had any drug administered to it; (g) commits an act of cruelty to an exhibit; or (h) commits any breach of these regulations shall be guilty of an offence. 2. A Sub-committee of three members of the Society s Horse Committee, which members are neither exhibitors nor competitors in the Horses-in-Action Section, shall have power to investigate offences and impose penalties including the following: (a) disqualification of a competitor from this year s Show and/or future Shows, and feiture of any prizes; (b) disqualification of an exhibit from this year s Show and future Shows and feiture of any prizes; and (c) any combination of the above. 3. Any person guilty of an offence will be reported to the Equestrian Federation of Australia (SA Branch), other Royal Show Societies and the Show Horse Council of Australasia.

14 12 HORSES IN ACTION 4. This part of the Special Regulations shall not derogate from the other parts of the Special Regulations. TRANSFER OF PENALTIES This Society reserves the right to refuse entries from exhibitors who are under suspension by another Society. 1. The Society may in its absolute discretion: (a) convey to any body any inmation concerning any fine, disqualification, withdrawal of a prize or ribbon, handicap, reprimand, warning or any other m of punishment ( penalty ) imposed by the Council on or in connection with any exhibitor or exhibit; (b) convey to any body any inmation concerning any investigation, inquiry or hearing ( proceeding ) conducted by the Council, whether or not the proceeding was or has been finalised and notwithstanding that the proceeding did not result in the imposition of any penalty on any person or exhibit; (c) recognise, act upon and ence any penalty imposed upon any exhibitor or exhibit at any time by any body; (d) itself conduct such further proceeding in connection with any matter concerning any exhibitor or exhibit, or any person seeking to become an exhibitor or to enter any exhibit, and impose a penalty in relation thereto notwithstanding that a penalty may have already been imposed by that other body; (e) enter in reciprocal arrangements with any body in relation to any of the matters referred to in (a) to (e) above. 2. For the purpose of (1.) body includes any other society, organisation or body within or outside Australia having similar objects to those of the Society and in particular includes: (a) RASV Limited; (b) The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria Inc.; (c) The Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales; (d) The Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland; (e) The Royal National Capital Agricultural Society; (f) The Royal Agricultural Society of Tasmania; (g) The Royal National Agricultural and Pastoral Society of Tasmania; (h) The Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia; (i) any breed association or society recognised as such by the Society. VETERINARY SURGEON Judges and RA&HS officials may call on the Society s Veterinary Surgeon in respect to establishing the soundness of any exhibit. VETERINARY SERVICE 1. The Society will appoint a treating veterinary surgeon to provide a service to exhibitors. The treating vet does not undertake swabbing nor is involved in the selection of horses to be swabbed. 2. Should a horse become ill or suffer an injury then the Society s Veterinary Surgeon may attend to and treat such animal in the absence of any authority from the owner, and the Society or its Veterinary Surgeon shall not be liable in any way loss arising out of such treatment. 3. Exhibitors may employ a veterinary surgeon other than the Society s, but in any such instance must inm the Society of the exhibit concerned. 4. The Society s Veterinary Surgeon may refuse to attend an animal previously examined and treated by another Veterinary Surgeon. 5. Unless otherwise specifically stated, only the Society s Veterinary Surgeon may give certificates required by the Society. 6. All costs incurred in the attendance and treatment of an animal shall be the responsibility of the exhibitor. INJURY, DISEASE If in the opinion of the Society s Veterinary Surgeon a horse on the Showground shall be so injured or be so affected by sickness, disease or other ailment as to warrant its destruction or its removal from the Showground, as the case may be, the Society shall be entitled to have the horse destroyed and/or removed from the Showground and/or shall be entitled to require the owner to thwith remove the horse from the Showground. Any expense incurred by the Society in respect of such horse shall be debited to the owner.

15 HORSES IN ACTION 13 Animals entered competition must not have been exposed to any communicable/ notifiable disease/s at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the Royal Adelaide Show. SWABBING The Committee may make or cause to be made, any test of any exhibit at any time bee, during or after competition including but not limited to, the measuring bay. The Society will appoint a vet the sole purpose of taking swabs. EXERCISING/WARMING UP OF HORSES Helmets must be worn by all riders and drivers at all times. Lunging of horses is prohibited in the exercise ring (east of the Main Arena) between 6.00 am & 6.00 pm unless permission is given by the Horse Committee. The following times have been allocated the exercising of horses on the outer half of the track: Entires - 5:45 am till 6:15 am Hacks, Ponies & Jumpers - 6:15 am till 7:00 am and overnight (track only, walk and trot only) Harness horses - 7:00 am till 8:15 am Exhibitors are reminded that the Adelaide Showground has limited space available exercising and/or warming up of horses. SCHOOLING OVER JUMPS Schooling of horses over jumps on any part of the Showground other than the area provided is prohibited. Exhibitors or riders disregarding this regulation may incur disqualification. ADVERTISING Competitors are not permitted to display any material advertising private sponsors except in jumping competitions in accordance with FEI rules. RIBBONS Only ribbons awarded during the current Show will be permitted on exhibits. GRAND PARADES All horses must be paraded in accordance with the printed programme and notices displayed in the Horse area. Exhibitors may lead a mounted horse in the Grand Parade under special circumstances provided approval is obtained by a member of the Horse Committee. Protective headgear to the current Australian, European or American Standard MUST be worn by all riders and harness drivers in the Grand Parade. Exhibitors must wear their exhibit numbers when participating in Grand Parades. Grand Parade Attire The standard attire Grand Parades is the same dress as worn in competitive classes. Inappropriate attire may result in the voucher admittance to the Grand Parade being rejected. Parade Participation Vouchers When collecting numbers from the Horse Office, all exhibitors will be presented with a sheet of four Parade Participation Vouchers. The number printed on each voucher will be the same as your exhibit number. When entering the main arena to participate in a Grand Parade, one voucher is to be handed to a Horse committee member, ie: one voucher is to be produced each time you participate in a Grand Parade. Exemption from Grand Parades An exemption can only be obtained between am and am from a representative of the Horse Committee in the Stabling Coordinator s Office on the day of parade. If an exemption is granted you will be required to surrender one Grand Parade voucher with your approved application exemption. Being absent from the Showground is not a valid reason failing to parade. If a weekly exemption is granted all vouchers are to be surrendered with your approved exemption. Exhibitors with more than one horse are only required to pay an exemption if at least one Grand Parade mount is not nominated and paraded. Parade exemptions may be granted to exhibitors who produce a current medical or veterinary certificate with application exemption. Once the Society is presented with a medical or veterinary certificate together with an application exemption to participate in a Grand parade, such exemption, if approved, will cause the ineligibility of the rider and/or horse from all classes of competition the same day of the exemption or the validity period of the certificate, provided it is no greater than the calendar year of competition.

16 14 HORSES IN ACTION Exhibitors seeking exemptions reasons other than the above (eg work commitments etc) may apply an exemption prior to Friday 4 August and pay the Exemption Fee of $100 per horse per parade. Exhibitors applying an exemption after Friday 4 August will be required to pay an Exemption Fee of $150. Part Show Exhibitors Exhibitors who are competing part-show only must return their unused vouchers when collecting their exhibit numbers from the Horse Office. Exhibitors must surrender four vouchers during the Show. The responsibility of surrendering vouchers over is with the exhibitor. Failure to Comply Exhibitors failing to produce all four vouchers may be fined $250 each voucher not presented. Failure to pay any fee incurred by 31 December 2017, may result in refusal of entries future shows. EQUIPMENT Spurs and whips - Spurs which may inflict injury to a horse are not permitted. The Committee and Stewards reserve the right to request the removal of spurs which they consider may cause injury. No whip longer than 750 mm may be used or carried other than in sidesaddle or harness classes. In jumping competitions, in accordance with FEI rules. Boots and Bandages - The use of boots or bandages will not be permitted on horses competing in any event other than Jumping, Cone Scurry, Cone Driving and Obstacle Driving Competition. Helmets It is compulsory anyone riding a horse anywhere on the Showground including practice and schooling arenas to wear protective headgear approved under the current Australian, European or American Standard. All riders, including competitors in speed events, must wear protective headgear to the current Australian, European or American Standard. No other head gear will be permitted. The onus is on the riders to comply with the rules regarding helmets, and their insurance may be rendered void in the event of an accident/injury, if they are found to have been using a noncompliant helmet. It is the recommendation of the RA&HS that inspections of helmets are conducted by competitors/owners on a regular basis to ensure compliance with the rules. DOGS AND BIKES NOT ALLOWED Dogs, bikes, scooters and skateboards will not be permitted in the Horse area. This regulation will be strictly enced during the Royal Adelaide Show. CORRECT ATTIRE Competitors in hack or jumping classes must wear recognised riding costumes. Riders under 18 years are not permitted to wear high top riding boots in riding classes. Riders taking part in any parade or competition must be correctly attired in accordance with the following conditions: LADY AND GENTLEMAN RIDERS ON FLAT Ladies - Formal occasions - Tan, fawn or buff breeches; black high top riding boots; dark type of grey or black coat; stock; vest; gloves; crop or leather covered cane; spurs. Ladies - Inmal occasions - Jodhpurs or breeches; tan or black riding boots; tweed or navy coat; stock or shirt and tie; gloves; crop or leather covered cane; spurs if desired. Gentlemen - Formal occasions - Breeches; tan or black high top riding boots; tweed coat; shirt and tie or stock; crop or leather covered cane; spurs. Gentlemen - Inmal occasions - Jodhpurs or breeches may be worn. Gloves optional. JUMPING CONTESTS - Riders in jumping events must wear white or light fawn breeches. As per Article 256 of the FEI Rules jumping events. HARNESS - CONE SCURRY, CONE & OBSTACLE DRIVING Protective headgear, gloves, apron, whip and jacket are required. FODDER Exhibitors must arrange their own fodder requirements. The sale of all fodder is in the hands of the fodder merchant, whose store is on the Showground. All sales will be by selected credit card or cash only.

17 HORSES IN ACTION 15 Any exhibitor who, in the opinion of the Committee, has more fodder than is considered necessary, will be required to remove the excess from the Showground. Exhibitors must not solicit orders fodder on the Showground. CONTAINERS AND HOSES Exhibitors are requested to supply their own feed and water containers and length of hose with 1 (25 mm) fittings to use at the wash down. FIRE PRECAUTIONS The use of primus stoves, heating or lighting appliances of a like character or any naked flame, is strictly prohibited in the horse stalls and lockers. The alteration of or interference with any electrical wiring, switch or plug is strictly prohibited. Precautions will be taken to guard against fire and to protect the property at the Showground, but exhibits will not be insured at the cost of the Society. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all livestock pavilions and lockers. No exhibitor or other person shall remove or displace or interfere in any way with or use any purpose other than the prevention of fire, any article or appliance provided use in the case of an outbreak of fire upon the Showground, nor shall any exhibitor or other person remove or alter or add to or interfere in any way with any fixture, fitting, article, appliance or thing owned by the Society or use such fixture, fitting, article, appliance or thing any purpose, other than which it is intended by the Society to be used. Because of fire risk all stalls will remain unlocked during the Show. AGE OF COMPETITORS The age of all competitors is to be the actual age on 1 September of the current year. In all events and parades the minimum age of riders shall be five years. 39 HORSES IN ACTION 37 WORKING SHOW HUNTER ELIGIBILITY These classes are open to horses or ponies accepted and competing in general Hunter Classes at the 2016 Royal Adelaide Show. The Committee reserves the right to merge classes if deemed appropriate. 2.5 Working Hunter Definition A Working Hunter should possess more substance than the modern ridden Show Horse but it must be emphasised they should be quality animals. A quality Working Hunter must create the impression that it is capable of hunting over a variety of terrain this militates against any weakness in conmation which would prevent this, and the horse or pony must do it comtably and safely the rider. The Working Hunter in competition is required to jump Conmation and Movement The Hunter should possess: Correct conmation riding and endurance Substance without coarseness Quality without fineness Straightness and freedom of action at all paces. Boldness and natural balance Colour immaterial Manners The Hunter should possess a steady temperament Presentation and saddlery Saddlery should be clean, neat and well fitting, but may be more 'workmanlike' than a ridden show class. Manes and Tails Coat and Hooves Saddle (including girth and stirrups) and Saddlecloth Bridle (including bits and browbands) Manes should be plaited; tails should be plaited or pulled. False tails are permitted Coat clean, with excess hair removed. Hooves oiled or blacked. Quarter marks and make up are not generally used Saddle should be of good quality and be supple and clean with sound stitching. A straight flapped, all purpose, or jumping saddle may be used A saddle cloth matching the shape of the saddle is acceptable Bridle should be the same colour as the saddle, supple, of good quality. Stitching on noseband and brow band optional A Working Hunter should wear a snaffle bridle with a plain front (browband and noseband). No coloured or fancy browbands Workout Phase 1 - Jumping The course should be ridden at a hunting pace, jumping each fence smoothly, all changes of leg should be flying changes and not done through the trot. The course should be open and flowing and must have a change of direction. There must be eight jumping efts, which can comprise of verticals and spreads and may include a two stride double. Some of the obstacles could be jumped from either side in which case, less actual obstacles are needed. The course should be open and flowing and must have a change of direction. All obstacles are to be clearly numbered. The course should comprise of some natural obstacles such as hay bales, brush, gate, wall, picket fence, log with rail, rustic rails. All jumps must have a top rail in cups; wooden blocks on a wall are acceptable. There should be a steward available to assist with the altering or rebuilding of the course.

40 38 HORSES IN ACTION Phase 2 Work Out The workout should be similar to that of a Show Hunter class and should always include a gallop and a change of lead at the canter. The leniency that can be shown by judges minor transgressions in the show horse should not be shown in the Working Hunter. The order of priorities flat section judging should be conmation followed by action and temperament. No change of saddlery is allowed between phases or during a phase Boots and bandages are permissible the jumping phase only An approved safety helmet must be worn by all competitors In the event of equality of marks, the total mark from Phase One will take precedence, followed by the manners mark and then the conmation mark. If there is still a tie, the Judge will decide the winner and that decision is final Both phases must be ridden in a snaffle bridle Whips to be a maximum length of 75 cms No martingales, bearing reins, side or running reins of any kind are permitted Ponies up to and including 12.2hh to be ridden by rider 14 years or under Ponies over 12.2hh may be ridden by riders of any age. 42 40 HORSES IN ACTION JUMPING CONTESTS Correct attire riders in jumping events is white or light coloured breeches and according to FEI regulations. The Committee may restrict riders in jumping classes to riding a maximum of three horses, galloways or ponies. First to fifth placegetters receive ribbons (unless otherwise specified). A separate entry m must be used each horse, galloway or pony. Exhibitors must list current season and best permances of horses entered on the entry m. However, the Society at its discretion will determine which entries are to be accepted. Permances will be taken into account. WALKING THE COURSE Riders of horses in the event about to be contested only are permitted to walk the course. No other person will be allowed into the arena. Riders are advised that entering and leaving the jumping arena must be by way of the trotting track and/or as instructed by an official. Failure to comply may result in a $50 fine. GROUPS A, B AND C The course, obstacles, conditions and judging of each class will be such as the committee shall determine. The course, obstacles and conditions will, however, correspond in the main with those recognised by the FEI. The jumping arena will, when possible, be entirely enclosed, but if not, will be clearly marked with flags or some other easily recognised indicator. At all times the trotting track will be taken as outside the jumping arena. It will be the responsibility of all competitors to acquaint themselves with the extent of the arena and its markings bee competing. Points Most Successful Awards will be calculated on the following basis: First, 5 points; second, 4 points; third, 3 points; fourth, 2 points; fifth, 1 point. 50 COMPETITIVE EXHIBITOR ROYAL ADELAIDE SHOW Conditions of Entry HAZARD REPORTING Competitors must notify the Area/Pavilion Supervisor or the Venue Management Office immediately of any hazards detected. Hazards are any situation which has the potential to cause: 1. Injury, illness or death to people or animals either immediately or in the future 2. Damage or destruction to property INCIDENT REPORTING Competitors must notify the Area/Pavilion Supervisor or the Venue Management Office immediately an incident occurs which has resulted in: 1. The injury, illness or death of any person or animal 2. The damage, destruction or loss of property 3. A near miss incident that could have resulted in the consequences listed in 1 and 2 WASTE DISPOSAL All waste including liquids must be disposed of responsibly and placed in the appropriate bin or receptacle. Storm drains must not be used the disposal of any waste. HAZARD MINIMISATION All areas must be kept in a clean and tidy order with clearly defined and available access and exit routes at all times. Build-up of combustible waste must be avoided. Care must be taken to minimise trip hazards and obstacles that people may walk into. Avoid laying unprotected cables or pipes on or above paths, walkways or roads. HAZARDOUS MATERIALS The RA&HS are to be advised of all hazardous materials that are brought onto the Showground. Appropriate warning signs and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) will need to be provided bee allowing these materials on site. SDS are to be available onsite and provided immediately upon request by a RA&HS Representative. MEDIA COMMENTS Any public comment on emergencies, incidents or other venue matters should only come from the RA&HS. The key media spokesperson the RA&HS is the Marketing Manager. DUTY OF CARE It is important to ensure your own safety and that of all other site personnel, visitors and general public at the Adelaide Showground. All competitors have a Duty of Care to avoid exposing themselves or other people to situations which could lead to injury. This Duty of Care extends to the prevention of damage to property. LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY 1. Release Entry to and remaining on the Showground is entirely at the risk of the Exhibitor and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Exhibitor releases the Society (which term includes in this clause the Society s officers, employees, members and agents), from all claims and demands of every kind resulting from any accident, damage or injury occurring at the Showground, and without limitation, the Exhibitor acknowledges: a) the Society has no responsibility or liability any loss, damage or injury to or caused by any Exhibit; b) the Society has no responsibility or liability any loss, damage or injury to or caused by any Exhibitor, his or her family, invitees and Agents; c) the Society has no responsibility or liability any loss, damage or injury to a Motor Vehicle or any of its contents whilst it is located on the Showground; and d) without limiting Regulations 1 (a) and 1 (b) above, the Society has no responsibility or liability any loss, damage or injury resulting from the sale, treatment, failure to treat, destruction, disposal or other dealing with any Exhibit, or loss, damage or injury to any personal belongings, equipment or property brought onto the Showground. 2. Indemnity To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Exhibitor must indemnify and keep indemnified the Society and its officers, employees, members and agents from and against all actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, expenses and liabilities including without limitation, consequential loss and loss of profits which the Society is or may be or become liable in respect of or arising from:

51 COMPETITIVE EXHIBITOR ROYAL ADELAIDE SHOW Conditions of Entry a) loss, damage or injury to any person in connection with the Exhibit or the relevant Event; b) without limiting Regulation 2(a), loss, damage or injury to any other Exhibit or Exhibitor, his or her family, invitees, Agents, or to the property of the Society, or its members, or to the general public, caused or contributed to or by any act or omission of an Exhibit of the Exhibitor or by the Exhibitor, his or her family, invitees or Agents; and c) without limiting Regulation 2(a), loss, damage or injury to the Exhibit, or the Exhibitor, his or her family, invitees, or Agents caused or contributed by an act or omission of an Exhibit of the Exhibitor or by the transportation, feeding or housing of an Exhibit of the Exhibitor. 3. Removal from Showground Without prejudice to any other provision in these Regulations, where the Society, its officers, employees, members or agents removes an Exhibit, or causes an Exhibit to be removed from the Showground, the Exhibit is removed or caused to be removed entirely at the risk of the Exhibitor. The person or persons removing the Exhibit will be deemed to be the agent of the Exhibitor, and his or her acts and omissions will be deemed to be the acts and omissions of the Exhibitor. 4. Insurance The Society will arrange Animal Exhibitors Public Liability insurance cover all Exhibitors of Exhibits being animals. The Exhibitor is bound by the terms and conditions of this insurance and by Statutory Duties as defined under the Insurance Contracts Act (1984). Details of the Animal Exhibitors Public Liability insurance are set out in the Relevant Schedule. The Society does not insure first party loss, damage or injury to Exhibits, and Exhibitors should consider purchasing insurance if required. 5. Personal effects The Society has no responsibility or liability any loss or damage caused to personal belongings, equipment or property which is brought onto the Showground by an Exhibitor, his or her family, invitees or Agents. EMERGENCY INFORMATION Emergency inmation and Emergency Assembly Points the various animal pavilions and stables will be included with Exhibitor Entry Detail Returns and Notice to Exhibitor mail outs. Competitors should be familiar with these plans. FIRST AID During the Royal Adelaide Show, St John provides First Aid Services but it is suggested that competitors have a basic First Aid kit minor injuries. St John is not in attendance after public hours. For emergency contact details, check Notice Boards, theshow.com. au website or dial 000. RA&HS EMERGENCY FACILITIES Firefighting and other emergency equipment must not be removed or used any other purpose. Missing or unserviceable equipment should be reported to the Venue Management Office immediately. SMOKING Smoking is only permitted in designated locations. The Royal Adelaide Show is a smoke free event. TRAFFIC CONTROL The RA&HS Traffic Control Policy imposes speed restrictions within the Showground. For the duration of the Royal Adelaide Show the speed limit is 10 kph on the grounds and 8 kph inside buildings The use of vehicles inside the Showground is closely managed during the Royal Adelaide Show. Conditions of entry will be provided with the issue of Vehicle Entry Permits. ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT 1. All extension cords and electrical appliances must be tested and tagged in accordance with current legislation as per Australian Standards Power boards with overload protection can only be used at the discretion of the Venue Manager. 3. The use of double adaptors is strictly prohibited. 4. Appliances and power cables must not be used or laid through any area that may become wet. 5. Power cables must not be laid across walkways, paths, roads or any area where damage could occur to the cable. 6. Bar (resistance) heaters are strictly prohibited. 7. Light sockets must not be used any other purpose 8. In external areas only extension leads that are Heavy Duty Rated must be used.
