Dressage court 20 x 60m, Jumping arena 150 x 300. Lunging arena, wash racks, 30 permanent 12 x 12 stalls with full doors and one bag of shavings for initial bedding. Human amenities include showers, sinks, and new plumbed toilets, too!

3 All tests to be ridden in standard court (20M X 60M) For all dressage classes, please use the entry form for USEF/USDF/CDS Shows. Be sure to include all applicable numbers, and enclose photocopies of all 2010 membership cards with entry. Please add $10 for each Qualifying ride and add Q to class number on entry. New!! Opportunity Classes: To encourage participation, CDS/USDF/USEF nonmember fees, CDS travel grant and USEF admin/drug fees will be waived (see USEF rule book GR821 for details). $15 Office fee is required for Opportunity Class entrants. Opportunity class scores will count for CDS awards and qualify for championships if CDS card is provided. Opportunity class scores will NOT count for USDF or USEF awards or championship qualifications. Riders may cros enter into other classes but will then be required to pay all required fees. 4 Membership Requirements for USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized Competitions: Owners and riders, including foreign riders and owners who are not residents of the US wishing to participate in a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition as a rider or owner/lessee, must have either a USDF Group Membership, Participating Membership (PM), or have a USDF Non-Member (NM) identification number and pay the USDF NM fee. (Note: USDF business members can own horses but cannot compete as riders with their USDF Business Membership (BM).) Horses competing at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized shows must have either a USDF Horse Identification (HID) number or a USDF Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR). Prope credentials or verification certificates must be presented to the competition secretary. This is a USEF Level 2 Dressage Competition. This competition is recognized by USDF for This is a USDF Region 7 Qualifying Competition for USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and VaultingCompetitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2)exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHAEndorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. USDF Membership Benefits: USDF is dedicated to education, the recognition of achievement, and promotion of dressage. For details on member benefits, including educational programs, awards, and other opportunities, refer to the USDF Directory or the USDF Web site at Riders and owners wishing to participate in a USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competition, and not able to present the competition secretary with verification of a USDF membership or NM identification, and USDF LHR or USDF HID, must complete a USDF Competition Affidavit Form and pay the $5 affidavit filing fee. A copy of a completed affidavit form from another competition may also be used for verification purposes for up to 60 days. (Exception: Affidavits cannot be used at Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championships.) Exceptions: Horses competing only in Individual Breed Classes (IBCs) at DSHB competitions, sires and dams of horses in DSHB group classes, where those sires or dams are not actually competing in the same competition, horse competing only in breed restricted dressage or DSHB classes at Regular Competitions (e.g. all Arabian, all Friesian, or all Morgan classes), or in USDF Introductory Level tests, Pas de Deux, Quadrille, or FEI ParaEquestrian classes, are exempt from this requirement. Also exempt are horses ridden in leadline, exhibitions, games and races, classes for 4-H members, walk-trot an academy classes. For foreign-owned horses competing in a CDI, USDF accepts copies ofthe horse identification pages from an FEI passport in lieu of USDF HID or Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR) number. Riders and owners/lessees competing only in classes which are exempt from the USDF HID requirements are also exempt from the USDF NM identification number and NM fee requirements. Also exempt are handlers of horses competing in DSHB In-Hand or Group classes. Memberships Defined Participating Membership (PM): A membership issued to an individual directly by USDF. The membership year is December 1 through November 30. PMs are available for 1-year ($62), 5-years ($250), or life ($1,000). A USDF Youth Participating Membership (YPM) is available for individuals who have not reached their 21st birthday by December 1 of the current membership year ($35). A PM allows the member to compete at USEFlicensed/USDF-recognized competitions and to participate as a rider and/or owner/lessee for all Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards, Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals, and the Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional Dressage Championship program. Group Membership (GM): A membership issued to an individual by USDF when the member name and dues are submitted to USDF through an affiliate Group Member Organization (GMO). The GM year begins December 1 and ends November 30. A GM allows the member to compete at USEF-licensed/USDF-recognized competitions and participate in the USDF Rider Awards program.

5 Business Membership (BM): A membership that runs December 1 through November 30 and is issued to a business or organization directly by USDF. The USDF BM ($175) offers a wider variety of advertising benefits. BMs satisfy requirements of horse ownership only. Non-Member (NM) Identification Number: For each USDF NM owner/lessee and USDF NM rider there will be a USDF NM fee of $20 and a USDF NM form per competition that must be collected by the show secretary and submitted to USDF along with the USDF Report of Fees document and the $5 affidavit fee if the person cannot provide a copy of their USDF NM card. Owners/lessees or riders exempt from the NM number requirements are also exempt from paying the USDF NM fee. If there are multiple owners of a horse and all are NMs, only one of the owners must pay the NM fee. If the horse has at least one owner who is a current USDF member there is no NM fee assessed. Competition management will be invoiced for all applicable USDF NM fees not received with the USDF post competition paperwork, along with a report listing all USDF NMs. Competition management is then required to submit the NM fees within 30 days to the USDF. An individual with a USDF NM identification number is not eligible for any USDF membership benefits. Once a USDF NM number has been assigned, a USDF NM card can be obtained from the USDF Web site. Horse Identification (HID) Number: A one-time tracking number for horses ($20). Scores earned by a horse with an HID number will be recorded, but will NOT be counted towards Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards. A horse with an HID number is not eligible to compete in Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional qualifying or championship classes or Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals. An HID number can be upgraded to a Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR) for a fee of $65. If a horse has a USDF LHR it does not need an HID number. An HID number is a one-time fee that does not need to be renewed. Lifetime Horse Registration (LHR): A horse with an LHR ($85) is eligible for Adequan /USDF Year-End Awards, and eligible to compete at Great American Insurance Group/USDF Breeders Championship Series Finals and Great American Insurance Group/USDF Regional qualifying and championship classes, assuming requirements for the owner and rider are met. If a horse has an LHR it does not need an HID number. An LHR does not need to be renewed. By calling or writing the USDF office at (859) , 4051 Iron Works Parkway, Lexington, KY The effective date of membership is the date the form and correct fees are received in the USDF office or, if applying at a competition, the date received by the competition secretary, provided the application is signed and dated by the competition secretary on that same day Great American Insurance Group/ USDF Regional Dressage Championship A single Regional Dressage Championship program organized by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF), licensed by the United States Equestrian Federation, Inc (USEF), will be held in each of the nine USDF regions. In addition, Alaska and Hawaii may each hold state championships if an official request from a GMO is received by Ap 1 of the prior year. The Regional Championship Program Rules can be found on the USDF Web site at: Please refer to the USDF Directory for the comprehensive list of rules and requirements for this program. Membership/Registration Requirements for Qualifying & Championships: Rider: - Must be a USDF Participating* Member at the time qualifying scores are earned and a the time of the championships. - Must be a USEF member (Junior Active, Senior Active, or Life) at the time the qualifying scores are earned and at the time of the championships. Horse: - Must be USDF Lifetime Registered (LTR) at the time qualifying scores are earned and at the time of the championships. - Must be USEF (Annual or Lifetime) recorded at the time qualifying scores are earned and at the time of the championships. - USDF horse registration and USEF horse/recording must be in the name(s) of the current owner(s) or lessee(s) of record. A horse is not required to have registry papers. Owner: - Must be a USDF member (Participating or Business) at the time the qualifying scores are earned and at the time of the championships. - Must be a USEF member (Junior Active, Senior Active, or Life) at the time qualifying scores are earned and at the time of the championships. *Participating Members are USDF members who join USDF directly Sports Programs/Competitions Revised 7/09 Sports Programs/Competitions Revised 7/09 Minimum Qualifying Scores One set of nationally-standardized qualifying scores has been established for all USEF/USDF Regional Championships, for levels through Grand Prix, in three divisions Open, Adult Amateur, and Junior/Young Rider. 9 CONNEMARA DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIPS All Divisions will be divided into Open and Child/AA if entries warrant. Dressage Division: to the purebred or halfbred Connemara with the highest combined scores in two dressage tests, Training level or higher. Prizes to the rider with the highest score in each age group. (Qualifying classes: 1-18) Prospect Division: to both the purebred and halfbred Connemaras with the most points in their division and 2 Introductory level dressage tests. (Qualifying classes: A, B, 40-43, 78) Green Division: to both the purebred and halfbred Connemaras with the most points in their division and 2 dressage tests, Training level or higher. (Qualifying classes: 1-18, 44-47, 79) Regular Division: to both the purebred and halfbred Connemaras with the most points in their division and 2 dressage tests, First level or higher. (Qualifying classes: 5-18, 48-52, 80) Child/AA Division: to the rider/horse combination with the most points in their division and two dressage tests, Training level or higher. To be awarded to the purebred Connemara, regardless of age or sex, who, in the opinion of the judges, exemplifies the breed in the following: TYPE TEMPERAMENT CONFORMATION ATHLETIC ABILITY MOVEMENT, in that order. (Qualifying class: 27) Shamrock Cup: Donated by the Archerds, Island Dreamer Farm. Awarded to the winner of the Halfbred Yearling Futurity. (Qualifying class: 22) Hideaway s Erin Tooreen Trophy: Donated by Rick and Leslie Howell, Orchar Hills Connemaras, in memory of Hideaway s Erin Tooreen. Awarded to th winner of the Purebred Futurity for 2 and 3 years old. (Qualifying class: 33)

10 Gilnocky Halloween Cup: Donated by Sue Laidlaw in memory of Gilnocky Halloween. Awarded to the winner of the Halfbred Futurity for 2 and 3 years old. (Qualifying class: 23) Larry Ervin Memorial Trophy: Donated by Darian and Allen Hall, Rosewood Connemaras. Awarded to the highest placed Purebred Connemara in the highest division of the Irish Derby, must ride one Training Level dressage test and either 70A or 70B. (Qualifying Classes: 1-4, and 70A or B) CLASS SPECIFICATIONS Open to Purebred and Halfbred Connemaras and to riders of all ages unless otherwise specified. Dressage, Driving, Western, Costume and Games classes are open to all breeds. Horse/pony may be shown by only one rider per class. All horses/ponies showing in Connemara classes must be registered with the ACPS or have their Temporary Foal Certificates. Copy of registration papers must accompany entry. They must be shown under their full registered names. Age of rider: The age of an individual on December 1 shall be his/her age for horse show purposes for the following competition year. Connemara in-hand classes will be judged on qualifications of the breed as described by the official American Connemara Pony Society breed standard ( Emphasis will be placed on breed type, conformation, substance, quality, and temperament. Transmissible weakness or unsoundness to be counted strongly against breeding stock. To be shown in hand at walk and trot on the line and at an appropriate hunter stance. Only one attendant per animal. If not already split by sex, may be split by sex if entries warrant. WCCS Futurities: Open to all yearling, 2 year-old, and 3 year-old registered purebred and halfbred Connemaras. Entry fees $80 per pony. Copy of registration papers must accompany entry. In event of illness, injury, or death of candidate, an owner may substitute another candidate. No refunds or carry overs. To be judged on conformation, Connemara type, way of going, temperament and potential to become or to produce useful riding animals. Halfbred classes shall not emphasize Connemara type as much as conformation, way of going, temperament, and usefulness. Purse: 90% for distribution among entrants: 10% retained for overhead. WCCS Futurities have no point value for any Championship or other award. Baby Obedience in Hand: Open to any horse/pony that is not started unde saddle. Classes may be split JR/AA and Open if entrie warrant. Hunters: To be judged on performance and soundness. In all classes, manners to be emphasized and extreme speed will be penalized. Conformation Hunters: To be judged 70% on performance, manners, and way of going; 30% on breed type and conformation. Prospect Hunter: A Prospect Hunter is a horse/pony or rider at the very beginning of their competitive career. Entrants should not have competed in more than three shows of any type. All classes to be walk/trot. Fences: 18. Cantering between fences will not be penalized. Cantering into a line or to a single fence will be penalized. The course will be of 4 single fences. May cros enter into Introductory Level Dressage, Walk/Trot, Trail and Breed classes only Green Hunter: Open to ponies/horses or riders in their first or second year of showing. Fences 2 6. Regular Hunter: A Regular Hunter is a horse/pony and rider of any age and is not restricted by previous showing in any division. Fences 3. Hunters under Saddle: To be shown at the walk, trot, and canter. Light conta with horse s mouth is required. Green and Regular may be asked to han gallop at judge s discretion: no more than 8 to gallop at once. Martingales n permitted. Prospect will not canter. Trail Class: To be shown over a trail course. Test may include: walk-ove back through, gate, bridge, carrying objects, dismount/mount, etc. Miscellaneous classes have no point value for Division Championships or fo any other award unless otherwise specified. Any horse/pony entering walk/trot classes may not enter any class whic canters. Costume Class: Let your imaginations run wild! Entrants may be led, driven o ridden. Prizes for: the Most Imaginative; the Most Beautiful; the Funniest; th Most Work; and the Most Irish.

It consists of a dressage test and a jumping test, which will encompass both Stadium and Cross-country type fences. Awards to first place, ribbons to fifth. 5. All minors must wear properly fitted protective headgear with harness properly fastened while riding anywhere on the show grounds or in the stabling area. Minors violating this rule will immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. Adults must wear protective headgear at all times when riding. 6. If any question or dispute not provided for arises, it shall be referred to the Show Manager whose decision shall be final. 7. Dogs must be on leash at all times. No exceptions. The owners of dogs found off-leash will be fined $25. Dressage ride times will be posted on the show website, they may also be ed or faxed at the secretary s discretion. Please include a valid address with your entry. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to contact the show secretary if ride times are not received. 9. Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of licensed competitions.
