5 GENERAL INFORMATION 1. PUBLIC CATERING WILL BE SUPPLIED BY 2. ALL TRADE STANDS TO BE BOOKED DIRECT WITH THE EAST ANGLIA HORSE SHOW 3. PLEASE CHECK THE TIMETABLE, ON THE EAST ANGLIA HORSE SHOW WEBSITE OR IN YOUR SCHEDULE, CAREFULLY, BEFORE MAKING YOUR ENTRIES,IT IS THE COMPETITORS REPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE PRESENT AT RINGSIDE FORTHE COMMENCEMENT OF THE CLASSES THEY HAVE ENTERED AND WE REGRET THAT NO CLASSES WILL BE HELD UP OR REFUNDS MADE FOR LATE COMERS. 4. IT IS THE COMPETITORS RESPONSIBILITY TO SUPPLY ALL INFORMATION REQUESTED. THE EAST ANGLIA CHAMPIONSHIP HORSE SHOW IS A QUALIFIER FOR: COMPETITORS MUST MAKE THEMSELVES AWARE OF ANY RULES REGARDING ELIGIBILITY TO COMPETE, AS LAID DOWN BY THE SOCIETY TO WHICH THEIR CLASSES ARE AFFILIATED. Competitors DO NOT need to be a member of ANY society to compete at this show. British Miniature Horse Society Star Seeker Classes These classes are open to all miniature horses regardless of registration, and owners/handlers do not need to be members of the BMHS. The winner of each of the Star Seeker classes together with the highest placed un-registered horse in each class will qualify for the Star Seeker Championship at the BMHS Breed Show 2018, provided that the owner and handler join the BMHS within 28 days of qualifying. BMHS registered horses may only compete in open Star Seeker classes if they have never been placed 1st - 5th at the Horse of the Year Show or 1st - 2nd at the Royal International Horse Show. The winner of each of the three Un-registered Star Seeker Championships at the BMHS Breed Show 2018 will, subject to vetting, be eligible for entry onto the BMHS Stud Book, and will qualify for the RIHS 2019 in the appropriate class, subject to meeting BMHS measuring criteria, as stated on the BMHS website - bmhsinfo@aol.com Horses will not be measured on the day but will be measured when attending the BMHS Breed Show, and must be within the maxi limits as stated on the BMHS website as above. BPS This show is a qualifier for the British Palomino Society s 2018 BPS Cream of the Crop Championship. The series and final is open to all; there is no need for membership or registration with the BPS. Qualification - the 2 highest placed Cream Dilutes in the qualifying class go through to the final (please note horses that are true duns are not eligible as they are not a cream dilute). The final will be held at the BPS National Championships at Three Counties Showground July Qualifiers held after this will go forward to the 2018 final. bpscreamofthecrop@gmail.com for further information. EQUIFEST This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the August The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. ESUK Qualifiers for 2018 ESUK Championship OLYMPIA ANTHONY EVANS SSADL HOME PRODUCED FIRST ROUND QUALIFIER 2018 The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced First Round Qualifiers only are open to both members and non-members of SSADL No Spurs, Galloping, Wearing of Face /Body Jewellery. Foals are NOT permitted SSADL Classes For In Hand Classes- Minimum age of handler =9 yrs old STALLIONS- Either for In Hand or Ridden classes, Competitors Must be 16 years of age or over. Grooms if required must be 16 years of age and over. If the class has a strip section then all lead rein competitors MUST have a groom. The leader will show the equine and the groom MUST Stay with the rider. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. THE SAME RIDER/HANDLER/PONY/HORSE COMBINATION MUST STAY THE SAME FROM FIRST /SECOND ROUND QUALFIERS AND GRAND FINAL. ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD AQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING. SSADL Rulebook can be found at 1ST TO 3RD IN EACH CLASS WILL RECIEVE A 10 VOUCHER KINDLY SPONSORED BY ANTHONY EVANS INSURANCE SSADL QUALIFICATION CARDS & KEEP SAKE PRIZE CARDS 1st to 6th will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation COMPETITORS ONLY NEED ONE QUALIFICATION CARD PER SECTION PER SEASON IN HAND AND/OR RIDDEN IF ALREADY QUALIFIED THIS CARD MUST BE HANDED DOWN THE LINE NEXT STAGE OLYMPIA 2ND ROUND QUALFIERS You can only compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Second Round Qualifiers, if you are a 2018 member and your animal is registered with SSAD Ltd and hold the 2018 membership/registration card. Once you have qualified at a First Round Qualifier and you have received an Acceptance card, only then may you compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans Second Round Qualifiers. The Second Round Champions will go on to compete at the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced Supreme Final at the London International Horse Show in December Once a competitor has qualified for the Olympia Grand Final they may continue to compete at any 2nd Round Qualifiers, but they will NOT be eligible to enter the Olympia Qualifying Championships. In this instance the second placed competitor will be eligible for this championship. Once a competitor has qualified for Olympia in the Ridden section they are NOT allowed to qualify in the In Hand section and vice versa. Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the International Showing Society within 28 days of the qualifying show. 6 TSR HORSEZONE.CO.UK Riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR HORSEZONE.CO.UK In Hand Finals - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. Full details at TSR Medal Awards - TSR members can collect qualification cards & signatures and redeem for a TSR Medal see TSR website for details. BSHA Grass Roots Championships - With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA Grass Roots Champs on the 9th Sept at Addington Equestrian Centre - You do not have to be a BSHA member to qualify or enter the final. THE EAST ANGLIA HORSE SHOW RULES: 1. The Show reserves the right to amalgamate any Class with less than 3 entries or sub-divide any class. 2. Any objections must be handed to the secretary in writing within 15 minutes of the class being judged, accompanied by Deposit returnable if the objection is upheld. 3. The judge s decision is FINAL. Any abuse towards judges or officials will result in immediate disqualification. 4. The Committee will not be responsible for any accident or incident to animals, persons or property. 5. The decisions of the Judges and Committee are final. 6. It is the responsibility of exhibitors to enter their ponies in the correct class or classes. 7. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied by full fees. 8. ENTRY FEES are NOT refundable after the close of postal entries even with a Doctor / Veterinary Certificate. All requests for refund must be applied for in writing. 9. No trotting or cantering will be allowed in any public area, only in the designated warm up area. 10. All horses and ponies should have 3rd party and public liability insurance. 11. No Ponies may be plaited in M & M Classes. 12. Correctly secured British Standard skull caps/riding hats BS 4472 or BS 6473 or PAS 015 or latest standard must be worn at all times when mounted. Top hats or bowlers may be worn by riders that are over the age of 18 years in the evening performance providing a DISCLAIMER IS SIGNED AND A DISCLAIMER CARD IS GIVEN TO THE RING STEWARD PRIOR TO ENTERING THE RING. 13. All children 14 years and under must wear HARD HATS when showing in-hand. 14. No loose dogs allowed on the showground/arenas. 15. Show canes/whips must not exceed 30". 16. Children must be three years old before competing in any ridden class. 17. All ponies entered in M & M classes must be registered in their respective Stud Books. Registration numbers must be stated on the entry form and with entries on the day. 18. No Litter to be left anywhere and mucking out of horseboxes/trailers in the lorry park is strictly forbidden. 19. No behavior of an offensive, abusive or unpleasant manner to any person at The East Anglia Horse Show will be tolerated. Any act of discourtesy to any Judge, Steward or any Show Official on the part of the competitor groom, rider, driver or agent of an animal, will, at the discretion of such Official disqualify that animal from being judged, in which case entry fees, prizes and charges will be forfeited. Exhibitors are reminded of their responsibility for the actions of others within their party. 20. No person shall ill-treat animals at any time whether by misuse/excessive use of a whip, bit or any item of saddlery or in any other way whatsoever. 21. STALLIONS in the interest of safety, stallions may only be ridden / driven / handled by persons over the age of 14 years with the exception of Small Breeds Mountain & Moorland stallions, where the rider / handler must have attained their 12th birthday by the 1st January in the current year. Stallions are not permitted in any Young Handler, Equitation, Junior Ridden M&M, Lead Rein or First Ridden classes. Drivers of stallions must have an active, responsible adult with them at all times 22. A fall of animal or rider whilst mounted in any class will result in disqualification and they MUST leave the ring DIS-MOUNTED. If an animal gets loose from its handler whist in the ring it will also result in disqualification. 23. No competitor shall behave in an offensive or abusive or unpleasant manner to any show official or judge at any show or via social media or the internet or via any publication in whatever format or via any other written or electronic format, If a competitor is found to be doing so, they will not be allowed to enter any more TEAHS shows for the remainder of the season, if the competitor continues this behavior the ban will continue throughout the following season. TEAHS takes this behaviour very seriously..
