This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society, and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in these classes whether or not members are subject to the constitution and rules of this society including the disciplinary procedures and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of this society. 2. All B.S.P.S. Classes will be judged under the rules in the 2018 B.S.P.S. Rule and Show Handbook. 3. The judge s decision is final. 4. The judges named in this schedule have accepted the invitation to judge but the committee reserve the right to appoint a substitute for any judge who is unable to attend. 5. No nomination or substitution entries are allowed. 6. No spurs may be worn in B.S.P.S. Classes. 7. Objections should be made in writing with the objector s full name and address, within an hour of the event-taking place, and lodged at the secretary s office with the sum of 10 deposit. The sum shall be returned if the objection is sustained. Any objection in respect of a J.M.B. Certificate will be dealt with in accordance with J.M.B. Rules. 8. The committee shall not, in any way be responsible for any loss, injury or damage that may happen to exhibitors or their assistants or other members of the public, or any animal or property or to any vehicle brought into the showground or onto any premises in conjunction with the show, or while entering or leaving the same. 9. Exhibitors shall be responsible for the behavior of their assistants or riders and for the conduct of such assistants and riders and all persons in charge of exhibits shall be subject to the instructions given by the judges or stewards. No juvenile, mounted or un-mounted will be allowed in collecting ring without adult supervision. 10. This show is a qualifier for the R.I.H.S. Only one pony in each of the Open W.H.P. classes, Open S.H.P. classes,, Leading Rein of Hunter Type, Nursery Stakes, Open Intermediate S.R., S.H. and Open Heritage Ridden. and Open Heritage Lead Rein and First Ridden. The highest placed, (not already qualified) from the first three placed in each class will qualify. One pony in each of the Pretty Polly Classes qualifies. Members and the pony registered with the B.S.P.S. to compete in classes with R.I.H.S. qualification. 11. This show is a qualifier for the 2018 B.S.P.S. Championship Show, to be held at Arena UK. 1 st and 2 nd prize winners only in 2-5,27 &28, The 1st, 2 nd and 3 rd prize winners in classes and 1 st 4 th in classes 7, 8, qualify provided the animal is registered in accordance with rules 23 & 28 and ridden by a B.S.P.S. Member. 12. This show is a qualifier for the Blue Riband Championships to be held at the B.S.P.S. Championship Show. The 1 st and 2 nd prize winners only in classes 1-4, & will qualify. Ponies must be owned registered and ridden by a B.S.P.S. Member to compete in these classes. 13. In the Intermediate classes riders over 18 years and including 25 years must be showing members. 14. This show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Classic Security UK Ltd Challenge, The highest placed pony in the Lead Rein, First Ridden, Lead Rein Hunter Type, Open Show Pony, Open Show Hunter Pony, + Intermediates Cradle and Nursery Stakes and Open Working Hunter Pony, &Heritage classes that has not qualified for the 2018 Horse of The Year Show in the appropriate class, will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the B.S.P.S. Challenge, the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony. Animals will qualify by attending any BSPS affiliated show and have competed in the appropriate class. Ponies must not have qualified for 2018 HOYS. 15. All Pretty Polly Classes will be run under B.S.P.S. Pretty Polly rules as laid out in the 2018 B.S.P.S. Rule & Show Handbook. 16. Royal International Horse Show. The R.I.H.S. levy is 9.50 per entry. Owners and rides must be B.S.P.S. Members and the pony registered with the B.S.P.S. to compete in classes with qualification for the R.I.H.S. 17. B.S.P.S. Premier League This Show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S. Premier League, 1st, 2 nd, 3rd and 4 th placed ponies in the, Leading Rein and First Ridden Classes + Classes 7, Black Country Saddles rider of the Year The Best Rider in each of the following Open classes at all BSPS Affiliated Shows will be awarded a Best Rider Card and qualify for the final at the Summer Championships Show: - Lead Rein, First Ridden, 128, 138 & 148 Show Pony, 122, 133, 143, & 153 SHP, Cradle Stakes, Nursery Stakes, 133,143, & 153 WHP, Intermediate SRT, SH WH & Heritage classes. 3 Ring 1 (OUTDOORS) 8.00am 8.30am Judge: Mr P Starkie (Lancs) Training Class A This is not a BSPS qualifier. Open to Working Hunter Ponies and Mountain and Moorland Working Hunter Ponies. This Class will be restricted to the first 20 entries per section. Ponies must be 4 years old or over, riders any age. No spurs and whips not to exceed 30 inches. Competitors may compete as many times as they wish in any section and different riders may compete on the same pony, however, only the overall highest point score for the same pony/rider combination will count towards the overall result. Method of Judging Competitors will be given a maximum of 10 points for each individual fence and the Judge will determine how many points to deduct for a knock down or refusal. Three refusals or a fall of horse or pony will result in elimination. A further 20 points will be allocated for style and manners whilst jumping, the pony/rider combination with the highest score will win no marks will be allocated for confirmation and there will be, no individual show. In the event of a tie the pony gaining the highest score whilst jumping will take precedence, if ponies are still tied the highest number of 10 or 9 points scored for individual fences will be used to determine who the winner is. 8.30am Judges: _Mr C Walker (Cheshire), Ms J Grummitt Class 1 The B.S.P.S.
