The Best Ridden Horse and Decorated (Classes 128 and 129) classes will be judged at approx. 2.30p.m. in the Main Ring so that these Horses can then lead off all prize winners for the Grand Parade which follows immediately afterwards. The Sam Turner Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be awarded for the Champion Agricultural Horse, also Championship Rosette. The C & E Nunn Perpetual Challenge Trophy will be presented for the Champion Foal, also Championship Rosette. White Rose Agriculture Ltd of East Cowton have kindly donated to be presented for the overall Champion, winners from classes 1 5 to compete. All Rosettes are kindly sponsored by M/s Strutt and Parker of Northallerton. HCS Mechanical Services Northallerton have kindly donated sponsorship to this section. Four double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule (b) For all horses born on or after 1st January 2012, irrespective of Points. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of six years or under in the same calendar year as the Newcomers Final - in accordance with Rule Qualifies for: Connolly s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round. Qualifying period 1st June - 31st May inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the First Round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four Connolly s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers First Round competitions in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in a Connolly s RED MILLS Senior Newcomers Second Round, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). To obtain a double clear qualification, even if the horse is the only clear round, it must jump a jump-off round and jump clear to gain a double clear round. 7 calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule Four double clears will qualify. Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying period: 1st June-31st May inclusive. Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2018 are not eligible for qualification to the 2019 Championship. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of four years or under in the same calendar year as the British Novice Final - in accordance with Rule Qualifies for: KBIS Insurance British Novice Championship - Second Round. Qualifying period yearly 1st May - 30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend

8 four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. 90cm Open: For registered horses to be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior Members. If combined with an open: In Category 1 Shows and in the event of 30 starters or more the Open and the British Novice section will be split with two sets of prize money awarded. In Category 2 Shows the sections must always be split with two sets of prize money awarded. Horses will only be eligible for double clear qualification to Second Rounds if they reach the age of five years or under in the same calendar year as the Discovery Final - in accordance with Rule Qualifies for: Nupafeed Supplements Discovery Championship Second Round. Qualifying period: 1st May-30th April inclusive. Numbers to qualify: Those horses that jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four First Round competitions held in any qualifying period, will qualify to compete in and attend four Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A Rules (Rule 191). NORTHERN COUNTIES PONY ASSOCIATION This show is a qualifier for the N.C.P.A. Pony of the Year Show. First and Second prize winners in appropriate classes will qualify. This show is a qualifier for the NCPA GOLDEN SUPREMES held in September Supreme Champion & Reserve prize winners will qualify from classes 71B & 71C. THE NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY NPS Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective M & M stud books. Part breds are not eligible for M & M classes. To compete in show pony and show hunter pony classes ponies must be registered in the NPS british riding pony register, appendix, international or sports pony section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the AHSB, the AASB or in the main body of their respective M & M stud books, part breds are not eligible unless entered in the NPS british riding pony stud book, register, appendix, international or sports pony section of the BRPSB Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and nonmembers but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 31st July 2nd August 2018 The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class qualifies for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first & second ponies are already qualified NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rule book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies if owned by NPS members are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. The Owner s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit. NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championship These classes are to be judged under rules of the NPS. NPS silver medal rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a qualifying or life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the riders/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the reserve champion provided they have the required membership card. If the champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the silver medal rosette but the qualification goes to the reserve champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The silver medal rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the silver medal rosette championship to be held at the NPS summer championship show 31 st July 2 nd August EQUIFEST QUALIFIERS The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championship to be held at the East of England Showground on the 8 th 12 th August 2018.

11 BRITISH SHOW PONY SOCIETY This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society ( B.S.P.S. ) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to the Rules of the B.S.P.S., including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S. This show is a qualifier for the 2018 B.S.P.S. Summer Championships Show, to be held at Arena UK. The 1 st and 2 nd prize-winners only in the following classes 80-81, 83-85, 87-90, 93, and the 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd prize-winners in class 92. The 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th prizewinners in classes 82, 91,94,95 will qualify for the B.S.P.S. Championships Show, provided the animal is registered in accordance to Rules 23 and 28 and ridden by a B.S.P.S. member. This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Challenge, please see BSPS Rule 516 in the 2018 BSPS Rule & Show Handbook, the highest placed pony in the Open Lead Rein, First Ridden, Show Pony, Show Hunter Pony, Working Hunter Pony, Cradle and Nursery Stakes, Int WH heritage M & M Lead Rein, first ridden & ridden WHP. Animals must qualify for the challenge by attending any BSPS affiliating show and competing in the appropriate class. Ponies must NOT have qualified for the 2017 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class. This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League, the 1 st 2 nd 3 rd & 4 th placed ponies in the Lead Rein and First Ridden, 128cms, 138cms, and 148cm. Show Pony, Lead Rein of Hunter Type, 122cms 133cms, 143cms, & 153cms. Show Hunter Pony, Cradle and Nursery Stakes, 133cms, 143cms, & 153cms. Working Hunter Pony, Show Hunter & Working Hunter classes and the Open Heritage WHP classes, and 1 st to 4 th in mixed Height Open Classes. This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Champion of Champions, the Champion Mini Show Pony, the Champion Mini WHP, the Champion Open Show Pony, the Champion Open WHP/WH and the Champion Open SHP. In the mixed height open classes, the 1 st prize winner will qualify. This show is a qualifier for the BSPS Black Country Saddles Best Rider of the Year. The Best Rider in each of the following Open classes:- Lead Rein, First Ridden, Open Lead Rein of Hunter Type, 128, 138 & 148cms Show Pony, 122, 133, 143 & 153cms S.H.P., Cradle Stakes, Nursery Stakes, 133, 143 & 153cms W.H.P., Intermediate SRT, SH, & WH classes and the Open Heritage Lead Rein, First Ridden and to the best rider who have not attained their 25 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year in the Heritage Ridden and WHP classes, will receive a Card and qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championships Show. NORTHERN BREEDERS SUPREME IN HAND CHAMPIONSHIP SPONSORED BY SUPREME PRODUCTS 2018 This show is a qualifier for the NPS Area 4 Northern Breeders in Hand Supreme Championship, Sponsored by Supreme Products. The Champion & Reserve from the Riding Pony Breeding, Hunter Pony Breeding & Mountain & Moorland in Hand will qualify for the Final to be held on Monday 27 th August 2018 at the NPS Area 4 Summer Show.
