1 May 19, 2018 Indian Nations Live 2018! Indian Nations Live (INL) is the premier live model horse show in Oklahoma! Indian Nations is also the oldest show in the state, having started back in 1980 in Charlene Marshall s back yard. The show is held at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Dewey, OK (MapQuest directions to 1115 N. Delaware St., Dewey OK 74029). Dewey is in the northeast corner of Oklahoma, just north of Tulsa. Dewey is the home of the Tom Mix Museum, which is dedicated to the life of the cowboy screen legend, plus we have MANY antique stores for your shopping enjoyment! Indian Nations Live has qualified as a North American Model Horse Showers Association (NAMHSA) member show. This means that in the Open Division and Mini Division, the 1 st and 2 nd place equids will receive a NAN card in all qualifying NAMHSA classes. For more information on NAN or NAMHSA, go to INL is a Breyer Live Show Benefit Program show. This means one paid entrant at this Open show will win a special run model Breyer has designed especially for this program. This year, the model is a glossy dappled chestnut Running Stallion named Vulcan. This show is open to any model horse shower, whether this is their first show or they have been showing for 20 years. The show will start at 8:30 am. The show hall will open at 7 am. We will break for lunch at noon, with the show resuming at 12:45. Lunch will be provided for a small fee, but you must reserve in advance. There will be the original Indian Nations Live show cake!! Commercial ribbons will be awarded 1 st 8 th place in each class of the Open Division, and custom rosettes for Champs & Reserves. The Charlene Marshall Memorial Mini Division has ribbons 1 st - 6 th and custom rosettes for Champs and Reserve Champs. The Kids Division will have ribbons awarded 1 st -6 th place, with trophies awarded to Champs & Reserves in Halter & Performance sections. There is a photo center, with the INL logo in the background, for any shower to photograph their models with or without their ribbons. Entrants in the Kids Division MUST pre-enter by May 16, No entries accepted the day of the show. Other features of the show include fabulous door prizes, and raffle items, and other special freebies. You can Paint a Stablemates horse for $2.00! Wild Horse Collectibles will be exclusively selling Breyers. Entrants are encouraged to bring retired models, tack, and other accessories to sell from their table. Decorator colors (NAN-qualifier, equids only) Rules for Indian Nations Live-Open Division: For the purposes of this show, a model entered in an OF Halter or Performance class is a plastic, china or resin model of any make in original factory finish, with undetectable touchups or repairs. A model entered in a CM/AR Halter or Performance class is any equid that has been altered in color, position, or texture, and includes Artist Resins. ANY CLASS MAY BE SPLIT AS THE JUDGE SEES FIT. Models may enter only one division (either Kids, Open or Mini). For each class you will have a 3x5 card/paper with your model s name, breed, sex and your name/initials. The judge will keep the cards for the 1-8 placers in each class. You will also provide a new card for each model that is called back for Champion/Reserve (those that placed 1 st or 2 nd in each class). A string tag identifying your model would also be a good idea to prevent mix-ups. PLEASE PRINT CLEARLY! IF I CAN T READ IT, IT GOES ON THE OFFICIAL NAMHSA OFFICIAL RECORD AS WHATEVER I INTERPRET IT AS! TRY TO NAME YOUR MODEL THE SAME THING ON ALL ITS CARDS (YES, THIS IS ACTUALLY A PROBLEM). DO NOT FORGET TO PUT YOUR NAME OR INITIALS ON THE CARD, BACK OR FRONT (THIS IS A BIG ISSUE, PLEASE DON T FORGET). Each model may only be entered in ONE halter class in ONE division at INL. Changing the breed or name of a horse already shown in one division, and entering them in another division is a no-no. If this happens, the model will be disqualified. There is a limit of 5 models per shower, per class for both Halter & Performance divisions Handlers are optional if you choose a Showmanship entry, and carts are optional if you have a harness entry. Halters are discouraged from being used in Halter classes. Performance classes may be split by type, or with or without rider where warranted. If you have more than one model appearing in a Performance entry, be sure it is clear which model is being judged. 3x5 cards or other means of explanations of your performance entries are extremely helpful to the judges, unless the entry is obvious or common. Appropriate obstacles/accessories are required for the trail classes. Explanations are also a good idea for unusual breeds in halter classes. Try to make the explanation as small as possible so it doesn t take up much table space. Any class will be split if the entries warrant. The judge will let you know how a class will be split.

5 Kids Divison ~ Indian Nations Live, May 19, 2018 The Kids Division is for showers who are 12 and under. It is designed to give the new shower an introduction to the wonderful world of live model horse showing. Halter classes will be judged first, Performance classes are judged second, and judging of the Fun classes will be last. The Halter, Performance, and Fun classes are intended for original finish (OF) models, but customized (CM) models (including Artist Resins AR) will be allowed. Entries in the Kids Division must be received by Thursday, May 17, including notification of intent to show. Because of the restriction of only showers age 12 and under, the Kids Division classes are NOT NAMHSA-qualifying. No NAN cards will be given in the Kids Division. Ribbons will be awarded 1 st 6 th place in each class. Small trophies will be awarded to the Halter and Performance Champion and Reserve Champion winners. Each entrant will be assigned a table and 2 chairs. You may bring a table cover if you wish. Your models should be lined up on your table and ready to show by 8:30 am on show day. Each model needs to have a 3 x5 index card or similar sized piece of paper with the model s name, breed, sex, and your initials or name on the front. Please have a card for each class your model is entered in. You will place the card in front of the model when you set it on the judging table. It could also be a good idea to have a string tag on your horse s leg with your name or the horse s name on it for identification purposes (so no one picks up the wrong model when judging is finished). If your horse places in a class, the judge will take the card, writing the placing on it and putting it in an envelope. The cards will be used for compiling the results. If your model doesn t place, the card will remain with the horse when judging finishes. Please do not go to the judging table after a class is closed, which means no more entries in that class may be brought to the table. The judge needs to work undisturbed. After the class is pinned (ribbons awarded), you will remove your model from the judging table. It is perfectly acceptable to ask the judge why your model did or did not place. If you get a 1 st or 2 nd place in a halter or performance class, keep the model and its ribbon handy. Those models will be called back to the judging table for Champion & Reserve placing after all Halter classes have been judged, then after all Performance classes are judged. Take the model, its ribbon, and a new 3x5 card to the judging table when call backs are announced. Entrants in the Kids Division will automatically be entered in a drawing for a Breyer model. Foals may be entered in the Halter classes, but the entrant is more likely to have success showing adult models in these classes. Halter classes will utilize the NAMHSA breed classification cross-reference to determine what breed goes in a particular class. The list will be available at the show or can be viewed in advance at: Do your homework when it comes to breeds and their allowed colors. No question is a dumb question! Please ask the judge or a senior shower if you have questions.
