2 1. This show is not open to the public and operates under the NCPA Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy. 2. All persons entering the showground must have personal and public liability insurance. The committee will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or injury to any person, animal or property whilst on the showground. Under NO circumstances must anyone, other than the judge, stewards, competitors or grooms enter the show rings. 3. In the interest of safety, excessive assistance or interference from outside the ring, will NOT be tolerated. 4. The judge s decision is final. Any objections must be made in writing, within one hour of the end of the class/incident and handed to the secretary with a deposit of In the event of the objection being upheld, the deposit will be returned in full. 5. The committee reserve the right to amalgamate, cancel or divide classes, as the entries warrant. 6. The committee reserve the right to cancel or refuse any entry made. 7. Under no circumstances will/can entries be substituted and any refunds will be at the discretion of the committee and subject to a admin charge. 8. In the event of postponement all entries will be carried over to the new date, unconditionally. 9. In the event of cancellation refunds MUST be requested in writing and should be sent with an SAE enclosed to the show secretary within28 days of the show date and will be subject to a admin charge. 10. M&M ponies to be shown in accordance with the Breed Society rules. 11. Stallions may NOT be lead or ridden by children under the age of 14 years to qualify for P(UK) Championships. 12. The committee reserve the right to carry out random dope testing. 13. Dishonoured cheques will incur a admin fee and may result in the refusal of future entries. 14. All grooms entering the ring must wear a hat and be of smart appearance. 15. All riding hats MUST adhere to current UK standards. In order to enter the final of the competition to be held at the NPS Spring Festival at Vale View Equestrian Centre on April 8 th 2018, the owner of the pony needs to become a qualifying member.

3 Stallion discs must be worn in all NPS Ridden and In Hand classes, these may be from any UK society as long as they are easily identifiable. The disc must be worn on the bridle. Ponies (UK) : 1 st 2 nd &3 rd in each qualifying class will qualify for the 2019 P(UK) Winter Classic BSPA 2018 and Equifest No membership is required to enter or compete in any championship final. Special Awards : NCPA Star Rosettes will be awarded in classes : 4, 6 & 9. NCPA Badge to be worn and current membership card to be produced in the ring. 9am Prompt Clinic with Penny Hollings 3 x sessions of 45 minutes per session with a maximum of 5 participants in each. Rider to be suitable size for pony. Riders must be 12 years old or over when riding stallions not exceeding 128cm and 14 years old or over when riding stallions exceeding 128cms. Class 2 - NCPA Derbyshire Tiny Tots Lead Rein/First Ridden - Plaited and M&M Rider not exceeding 5 years of age Class 3 - The NPS M&M Lead Rein Winter Championship /P(UK) M&M Lead Rein Qualifier Open to registered Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh Section A or B mares and geldings four years old or over not exceeding 122 cm. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday but must not have attained their 9th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. To be shown in a snaffle bit. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship wear white arm bands. * Class 4 - The NPS M&M First Ridden Winter Championship /P(UK) M&M First Ridden Qualifier Open to registered Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, New Forest, Welsh Section A or B mares and geldings four years old or over not exceeding 128 cm. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday but not reached their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. Rider any age, except stallions (see rules in the NPS Rule Book) CHAMPIONSHIP : Open to 1 st & 2 nd Prize winners from classes 5 8 Not before 2.00pm The P(UK) R.I.H.S Young Riders and Amateur Ridden M&M Qualifier Owners must be Adult Members/Riders must be current P(UK) Annual Rider Members and the ponies currently registered with P(UK) before the time of entry in order to compete in these classes. Class 10 - The P(UK)RIHS M&M Large Breeds Mare or Gelding, 4 years old & over, registered in the approved Pure Breed Society stud books of Connemara, Dales, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Welsh Section C or D. Rider not to have attained their 18th Birthday before the 1st January in the current year. Class 11 The P(UK)RIHS Intermediate M&M Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old & over registered in the approved Pure Breed Society stud books of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Fells, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh Section A, B, C or D. Rider not to have attained their 25th Birthday before the 1st January in the current year. (See Rule 7 of the current P(UK) Rule Book). The P(UK) RIHS Amateur Riders Qualifier is open to riders, who for showing purposes have not engaged in a training programme for riders/ horses/ ponies, livery, buying/selling or dealing of horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income in the 2 years prior to the date of the show. ( Please refer to Rule 25 of the current Rule Book ) Class 12 The P(UK)RIHS Amateur Rider Ridden M&M - Mountain and Moorland ridden Stallion, Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over, registered in the approved Pure Breed Society stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fells Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh A,B.C,D rider any age. The highest placed exhibit not already qualified within the first five in the RIHS Young Riders M & M Ridden (classes 9 to 11) and the highest placed pony and rider not already qualified within the first five the RIHS Amateur Riders M & M (Class 12) will qualify for their respective finals at the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead in July Qualification will be verified by the Office.
