2 Rules of Entry When entering a pony / horse it is a condition of entry that these rules are abided by. 1. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to ensure they are present in the ring at the start of the class. 2. Refunds of class fees will not be given if exhibitors miss their class. 3. The Judge s decision is final. 4. The judge may withhold any prize where there is an evident want of merit. 5. Riders of stallions must be aged 12 years + for small breeds and 14 years + for large breeds. 6. Objections Any objections to be made in writing to the Secretary with a deposit of cash, which will be returned if the objection is upheld. All objections must be made within 30 minutes of the class taking place. 7. The Officials and Council of the NCPA accept no responsibility for loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the Showground, car parks or approaches. All entries are subject to these conditions. 8. Exhibitors alone are solely responsible for the accuracy and eligibility of their entries. No entry will be accepted unless accompanied with the correct fee. In the event of an entry proving incorrect, (whether by mistake or otherwise), the entry fee will not be returned. 9. An Exhibitor may not exhibit a pony / horse bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, their immediate family or their employer. 10. The show reserves the right to expel from the class or Showground any animal not considered to be under control, especially where a danger to the public could be created. 11. The show reserves the right to cancel, amalgamate or divide any class should entries so warrant. 12. No substitute or nomination entries will be allowed. 13. In the event of the Show being cancelled by events beyond our control, a 50% administration fee will be deducted from each Exhibitor. 14. All persons entering the Showground must have personal third party insurance. 15. This Show operates under the NCPA Child and Vulnerable Persons Protection Policy. 16. Show canes and whips must not be more than 30 inches long. 17. Ponies / horses must leave the ring at walk. 18. Correctly secured skull caps/riding hats must be worn at all times whilst mounted and to be to current BSI Standard. 19. Lead Rein Classes: Ponies to be shown in a snaffle bridle and the lead rein to be attached to the nose band on which it must remain whilst the pony is in the ring. Whilst in the ring, the pony must be led at all times. 20. First Ridden Classes: Ponies to be shown in a suitable bridle. No cantering allowed except for individual show. 21. Foals must accompany mares in the ring and be at least three weeks old on the day of the Show. 22. Mountain and Moorland ponies must be shown in their natural state and for affiliated classes must be registered with their respective Breed Society, the registration number quoted on the entry form. 23. All Stallions and Colts must be licenced as stipulated by their relevant breed society and must be handled by a person over 14 years of age and be adequately bitted and under control. 24. No litter to be left on the Showground. CLEANING OUT HORSEBOXES & TRAILERS IS STRICTLEY FORBIDDEN. 25. All Exhibitors must be wearing the allocated number for the Exhibit when entering the ring; 26. Dogs must be on a lead and supervised at all times. 27. Handlers and Grooms must be appropriately dressed. 28. Anyone found to be mistreating a horse or pony may be asked to leave the show ground, and reported to the appropriate body. 29. All horses and ponies must have a valid passport which should accompany the animal on show days. 30. All CHAPS Stallions must wear ID Discs in the Ring 31. Handlers in IN-Hand class s ages 14 years and under, must wear a correctly secured current British Standard skull cap or riding hat. 32. Rosettes to 6th place in all classes 33. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR Riders Finals 1st & 2nd riders qualify in eligible classes and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. Full details at

Leave A1 at junction 35, then join the M18 motorway signposted The North. 2. Leave the M18 at junction 3, the A6182 exit to Doncaster 3. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the Great Yorkshire Way / A At the roundabout take the 1st exit to stay on Great Yorkshire Way. 5. At the roundabout take the second exit to stay on the Great Yorkshire Way. 6. At the next set of traffic lights take your right lane and keep straight following the A638/Great North Road. 7. Continue past the Mount Pleasant hotel on your right. 8. Continue past the next left turning signposted Austerfield. 9. The NORTHERN RACING COLLEGE IS ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE AFTER THIS. A1 TRAVELLING NORTH BOUND 1. Leave the A1 at junction 34. On the 1st roundabout take the 4th exit, then at the 2nd roundabout take the first exit onto the A614, signposted Bawtry. 2. At the roundabout take the first exit onto the A638 signposted Bawtry. 3. Entering Bawtry continue straight on, A638 (Great North Road) signposted Doncaster 4. Keep on the A638 and you will pass a caravan centre on your right, followed by a water tower on your left, and then the paintball fields and RSPCA Centre- also on your left. Approximately 50 yards further on you will see the NRC gallops on the left hand side. 5. The entrance to the NRC is signposted about 100 yards further on your left. M1/M18 1. 6 This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Affiliation No Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However, in order to Qualify both Owner and Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid Qualifier card IN THE RING for signing by the judge. Members to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 30th August-1st September Shows held on or after the Postal Entry closing date of Championship Show will count as 2019 qualifiers. The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers [01-18]. For full rulings and information on competition/qualification, please refer to the C H A P S (UK) Members' Handbook; or visit for rulings. Only Skewbald s/piebald s may compete these classes. All stallions, 4 years old and over entering these classes must be graded with CHAPS (UK). All stallions must wear Stallion ID Discs in the ring without exception.

Riders of stallions of Small Breeds must have attained their 12 th birthday by 1 st January in the current year and riders of large breed stallions must have attained their 14 th birthday by 1 st January in the current year. Junior M&M riders as stated in the relevant classes. Class 19 NPS/The King s Head Novice M&M Lead Rein Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 9 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. To be shown in a snaffle bridle, lead rein attached to the noseband. Novice: Not to have won a 1 st prize in an Open Class before Class 20 NPS/Bryndefaid Stud Novice M&M First Ridden Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 12 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Snaffle bridle only. Novice: Not to have won a 1 st prize in an Open Class before Class 21 NPS/Showing Classics Open M&M Lead Rein - Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 122cms. Riders not to have attained their 9 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. To be shown in a snaffle bridle, lead rein attached to the noseband. Class 22 NPS/Showing Classics Open M&M First Ridden Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over, not exceeding 128cms. Riders not to have attained their 12 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Snaffle bridle only. MINI CHAMPIONSHIP 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from classes to compete. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championship to be held at the East of England Showground on the 8 th 12 th August (Classes 21 and 22). NPS/RYRHOUSE NATIVE SHOW TEAM JUNIOR M&M RIDDEN Class 23 Junior M&M Ridden Small Breeds Mare or Gelding 4 years old or over, Welsh A, Welsh B, Dartmoor, Exmoor and Shetland. Riders not to have attained their 14 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. Class 24 Junior M&M Ridden Large Breeds Mare or Gelding 4 years old or over, Welsh C, Welsh D, Connemara, Dales, Fell, New Forest and Highland. Riders must have obtained their 14 th birthday before the 1 st January in the current year and not to have attained their 18 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. OPEN/JUNIOR M& M CHAMPIONSHIP 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from classes 23 and 24 to compete. The two highest placed exhibits not already qualified will qualify for the relevant Equifest Championship to be held at the East of England Showground on the 8 th 12 th August 2018.

8 NPS/PICTON M&M NOVICE RIDDEN Open to pure bred registered M&M stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over. A pony is not eligible to compete if, before 1st January in the current year, it has done any of the following: i. Won an open NPS affiliated mixed M&M Ridden class ii. Qualified for Horse of the Year Show, Olympia or RIHS Open M&M Ridden class iii. Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show (N.B. Ponies can compete as novices in this competition for two consecutive years provided they do not submit an entry to the final in the first year). iv. If a pony qualifies for Horse of the Year Show, Olympia or RIHS in its second year it is immediately denoviced and cannot compete in the Picton Final. Ponies must be shown in a snaffle bit. Class 25 Mountain & Moorland Novice Ridden Welsh Section A&B, 4 years old or over. Class 26 Mountain & Moorland Novice Ridden Welsh C and D, Class 27 Mountain & Moorland Novice Ridden Dartmoor, Exmoor & Shetland Class 28 Mountain & Moorland Novice Ridden Dales, Fell & Highland Class 29 Mountain & Moorland Novice Ridden New Forest & Connemara NOVICE M&M CHAMPIONSHIP 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from classes 25 to 29 to compete. NPS/RINGSIDE STUD MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND OPEN RIDDEN Class 30 Mountain & Moorland Open Ridden Small Breeds Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Breed Societies of Shetlands, Exmoor, Dartmoor, Welsh A and B. Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old or over. Rider any age (with the exception of stallions see rules). Class 31 Mountain & Moorland Open Ridden Large Breeds Open to Mountain & Moorland ponies registered with their respective Pure Breed Societies Welsh C and D, Fell, Dales, Connemara, New Forest and Highland. 9 NPS/THE MINNS FAMILY M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M Ridden section. (Excluding WHP, First Ridden and Leading Rein). Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification. NPS Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible for Mountain & Moorland Classes. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non-members but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 31st July -2nd August 2018 The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. Qualification NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. The Owner s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit

10 RING 3: TO START AT 09:00 PROMPT RIDDEN JUDGE: CHRISTINE SENIOR Class 32 Best Turned Out Judging will be on suitability of rider to horse & cleanliness of tack & turnout. Not a TSR Qualifier. Class 33 Novice Ridden Horse 148 cm or over. Not to have won first prize money of 20 or over. Over 4 years of age. Exceeding 148cm. Cantering will only be allowed in the Individual Show Class 34 Ridden Coloured Open to all coloured horses or ponies of any height, including Roans, Duns and Palominos. Class 35 Ridden Cob Open to all horses of Cob type, Hogged or Traditional. Class 36 Ridden M&M Open to all ponies of M&M type, ponies must be shown in their natural state. Class 37 Ridden Hunter/ Hack/ Riding Horse All horses to exceed 148cm. Class 38 Riding Club Horse Horses to exceed 148cm. Will involve a standard show piece and a small fence which won t exceed 70cm. Class 39 Ridden Mixed Age Veteran This class is affiliated with the SSADL and will follow their rules. The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced First Round Qualifiers only are open to both members and nonmembers of SSADL No Spurs, Galloping, Wearing of Face /Body Jewellery. Foals are NOT permitted SSADL Classes. For In Hand Classes- Minimum age of handler =9 yrs old STALLIONS- Either for In Hand or Ridden classes, Competitors Must be 16 years of age or over. Grooms if required must be 16 years of age and over Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. THE SAME RIDER/HANDLER/PONY/HORSE COMBINATION MUST STAY THE SAME FROM FIRST /SECOND ROUND QUALFIERS AND GRAND FINAL. ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD AQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING SSADL Rulebook can be found at 1ST TO 3RD IN EACH CLASS WILL RECIEVE A 10 VOUCHER KINDLY SPONSORED BY ANTHONY EVANS INSURANCE SSADL QUALIFICATION CARDS & KEEP SAKE PRIZE CARDS 1st to 6th will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation COMPETITORS ONLY NEED ONE QUALIFICATION CARD PER SECTION PER SEASON IN HAND AND/OR RIDDEN IF ALREADY QUALIFIED THIS CARD MUST BE HANDED DOWN THE LINE NEXT STAGE OLYMPIA 2ND ROUND QUALFIERS You can only compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Second Round Qualifiers, if you are a 2018 member and your animal is registered with SSAD Ltd and hold the 2018 membership/registration card. Once you have qualified at a First Round Qualifier and you have received an Acceptance card, only then may you compete in the Olympia Anthony Evans Second Round Qualifiers. The Second Round Champions will go on to compete at the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced Supreme Final at the London International Horse Show in December Once a competitor has qualified for the Olympia Grand Final they may continue to compete at any 2nd Round Qualifiers, but they will NOT be eligible to enter the Olympia Qualifying Championships. In this instance the second placed competitor will be eligible for this championship. Once a competitor has qualified for Olympia in the Ridden section they are NOT allowed to qualify in the In-Hand section and vice versa. Class 40 TGCA Ridden Open to mares, stallions and geldings aged 4 years and over, any height. Pure Bred classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob Association (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show TOYS. Classes are open to all pure bred traditional gypsy cobs. Stallions All stallions (Pure or part bred, four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA evaluations, and have their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature. Nonmembers will receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. 11 Please also be aware that the highest placed junior rider in the ridden class qualifies for the junior ridden finals. There is a qualification given to the highest placed restricted in each class for the finals. Quest for a Star Championship In hand and Ridden 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd from the TGCA Classes may go forward to the Quest for a Star Champion provided they are current members and the horse is TGCA registered. Membership cards and qualification cards (specific to that exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championship at Toys. Class 41 Mutley s Cuts Concours D Elegance This class is open to horses and ponies. Traditional or Costume dress is permitted, but BSI stamped Riding Hats must be worn at all times. The Sole criteria for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse and rider. Attention may be paid to the rider s personal appearance but detailed inspection of rider or tack is not required. A brief show from each competitor will be required. Not a TSR Qualifier. Special Rosettes will be awarded to: *Best Lead Rein The rider should be 10 years or under on show day *Best Junior Rider Competitors should not have attained their 17th birthday on show day *Best Adult rider Equestrian Life Magazine Ridden Championship Those placed 1 st or 2 nd in classes will go forward for the Unaffiliated Ridden Championship.

12 RING 4 TO START AT 09:00 PROMPT CHILDREN S RING JUDGE: BEV FOWKES All competitors in classes 42 to 50 to be aged 16 or under on the day of the show unless otherwise stated. Class 42 Best Turned Out Judging will be on the suitability of rider to horse & cleanliness of tack & turnout. Special rosette to be awarded to the best turned out lead rein pony. Not a TSR Qualifier. Class 43 Lead Rein Pony Ponies not to exceed 12.2hh. Child not to have attained their 9th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Lead Rein to be attached to Nose band only. Judging will be on the suitability of the pony & the combination of pony & rider. Class 44 First Ridden Ponies must not exceed 13.2hh. Child not to have attained their 11th birthday before 1st January in the current year. Judging will be on the suitability of the pony & the combination of pony & rider. Competitors will be asked to perform a short individual show, in which they can canter if they feel comfortable. Class 45 Style and Appearance 13.2hh and Under Ponies must not exceed 13.2hh and can be of any type. The class will be marked on the turnout and suitability of the partnership. Competitors will be asked to perform a short individual show. Class 46 Style and Appearance 14.2hh and Under Ponies must not exceed 14.2hh and can be of any type. The class will be marked on the turnout and suitability of the partnership. Competitors will be asked to perform a short individual show. Class 47 Junior Equitation Ponies not to exceed 14.2hh, riders to be aged 16yrs or under on the day of the show. In this class the rider will be judged for their riding ability, as opposed to the pony. There will be a rosette for the best placed Lead Rein rider and the best placed rider under 12 not on a Lead Rein. Riders will be asked to perform a short individual show. Class 48 Young Handler This is an in-hand class, where the young handler is judged on their handling of the pony and on their ring craft skills. All handlers must wear a hard hat and suitable footwear A smartly dressed adult can accompany the child if they would prefer. There will be a special rosette for the highest placed handler under the age of 9. Class 49 Bonny Pony This is an in-hand class for ponies not exceeding 14.2hh, the handler is to be aged 16 or under. All handlers must wear a hard hat and suitable footwear. A smartly dressed adult can accompany the child if they would prefer. There will be a special rosette for the highest placed pony, handled by a child under the age of 9. Not a TSR Qualifier. Class 50 Fancy Dress This is an in hand or ridden class for ponies not exceeding 14.2hh, handled or ridden by a child who is aged 16 or under. Stallions All stallions (Pure or part bred, four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA evaluations, and have their TGCA stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for signature.
