Criteria for selection has been in response to the request from many British dairy farmer's for Cattle Genie to offer the following: * Provide Sires with high component levels of Fat % and especially Protein % * Proven longevity from selected cow families and the use of proven bulls and dams for mating programme. KI-SAMEN have those bulls available for you, in fact their bulls have for a number of years now filled the top positions in the Dutch Sire list for longevity in Holland. * Commercial cattle breeders tell us they do not want " show type" cattle, the fashion over the years for tall angular cows are now well recognised as the main reason for reduced longevity. Cows that have width through the body and are capable of using cubicles and most importantly they can walk! * Cows that are bred to utilise grass and grass silage as part of their main diet * You like the fact KI-SAMEN guarantee at least 20 Million semen cells in every conventional straw! * The bulls chosen by Cattle Genie are free of genetic defects including C.V.M. BLAD & Brachyspina ( by- ). Above is the Dutch R&W Holstein-Friesian base cow figures for production, it is a 3 lactation average each being 300 days in length. This in turn would mean a Dutch Holstein proof measurement showing 97 ( high rump angle) is in fact equal to 0 ( zero) mid-line average on the U.K. proof scale.
