For horse show purposes, the age of an exhibitor will be considered as of December 1, All exhibitors must appear in proper attire. 3. All riders cannot ride anywhere on the showground s without wearing protective headgear passing ASTMSEI standards. Harnesses must be secured and if headgear has a brim it must be flexible or semi- flexible. Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be prohibited from further riding until their headgear is properly in place. 4. Management reserves the right to change the location of any class if necessary and to cancel or combine any classes if entries so warrant. 5. NO person will be allowed in the ring during judging unless on official business. 6. The State of Maryland requires that all horses and ponies must be in possession of a current negative Coggins Certificate taken within 12 months. 7. All dogs must be leashed. 9. Stallions are not permitted on the property. 10. No numbers will be issued without a signed blank check and signed entry form. Junior rider entries must be signed by an adult. 11. St. Timothy s School is a non- smoking campus- please refrain from smoking while on the property 12. The St. Timothy s School will assume no responsibility, is not liable for any injury to person or to any horse at any time, which includes going to, coming from and in the ring. Neither will it be responsible for vehicles or articles that may be lost or damaged. All owners and exhibitors will be held responsible for any damage incurred by them or their agent s properties on the show grounds. 13. Champion and Reserve Champion Ribbons will be awarded in all divisions. 14. Six ribbons will be awarded in all classes. 15. Schooling from 6:30 am to 7:45am. 16. Mounts may not exceed 14.2 hands. Pony to be judged 50% on suitability to rider. Rider to be judged on hands, seat, and suitability of mount. To be shown both ways of the ring. Mini Short Stirrup Equitation Division - BCHSA - Open to children 10 years of age and under as of December 1, Riders may not cross enter in any other division at the same show. Mounts not to exceed 14.2 hands. Short Stirrup Equitation Division - BCHSA - Open to riders 12 years of age and under as of December 1, Rid- ers in this division may cross enter into the Short Stirrup Hunter division only. Mounts may not exceed 14.2 hands. To be judged on hands, seat, guidance, control and suitability of mount. Martingales are prohibited in the flat phase of the division. Jump 18. Short Stirrup Hunter Division - BCHSA - Open to riders 12 years of age and under as of December 1, Open to ponies 14.2 hands and under. Ponies are allowed to cross enter into any class where eligible. Riders may only cross enter into the Short Stirrup Equitation division. Judged on manners, performance, suitability & soundness. 18. Long Stirrup Equitation Division - BCHSA - Open to senior and junior members over 10 years of age as of December 1, Riders in this division may cross enter into the Long Stirrup Hunter division only. To be judged on hands, seat, guidance, control and suitability of mount. Martingales are prohibited in the flat phase of the division. Jump 2. Long Stirrup Hunter Division - BCHSA - Open to senior and junior members over 10 years of age as of December 1, Open to ponies and horses. Horses and ponies are allowed to cross enter into any class where eligible. Riders may only cross enter into the Long Stirrup Equitation division. To be judged on manners, performance, suitability and soundness. Jump 2. MHSA Low Pony Hunter Division - MHSA - Open to ponies ridden by a Junior exhibitor who have not reached their 18th birthday as of December 1, To be judged on performance and soundness; suitability to count. A rider in this division is not eligible to cross enter in any other division where the fences exceed 2 at the same show except age group equitaiton classes. Riders may not cross enter into the Low Small/Medium and Low Large Pony Hunter divisions at the same show. Jump 2. Hopeful Hunter Division - BCHSA - Open to horses and ponies. Adults may ride ponies. To be judged on manners, performance, suitability and soundness. Jump Pre- Children/Adult Hunter Division - BCHSA - Open to Junior and Amateur riders showing horses or ponies. Adults may ride ponies. Manners and suitability emphasized. Jump Junior Equitation Division - BCHSA - Open to riders 17 years of age and under as of December 1, To be judged on hands, seat, general position, and control. At the discretion of the judge, other tests may be required. Jump Cannot show in Junior Equitation both days. BCHSA Junior Medal - BCHSA - Rider must be a BCHSA member to compete. The same horse/pony must be shown in all phases of the class. Martingales are not permitted in the under saddle phase of the class. To be judged on hands, seat, guidance and control throughout. At the discretion of the judge, additional tests may be required. At least 4 riders must complete the course. Jump Low Small/Medium Pony Hunter Division - BCHSA - MHSA - Open to Junior riders on ponies 13.2 hands and under. To be judged on manners, performance, suitability and soundness. Jump 2. (Regional - Small/Medium Pony Hunter) Low Large Pony Hunter Division - BCHSA - MHSA - Open to Junior riders on ponies over 13.2 hands but not to exceed 14.2 hands. Riders need not be a member of the Marshall & Sterling to compete. M&S 2 6 Adult Medal- Must be eligible for the Low Adults & hold a USEF Amateur card.
