3 IMPORTANT STUFF! Horse Truck & Float Access. Competitors with horse floats and trucks are requested to enter the showground via the HAMMOND ST entrance (near the old service station) this will be clearly signposted. This entrance will be open until 9.00 am both days. After 9.00 am, horse floats and trucks should access the showground via BLACK ST, which is the first turn to the right after the bridge. Black St leads to the paddock adjacent to the showground where you will be directed to the Horse parking area. All exiting from the showground will be via BLACK ST there will be no traffic movement allowed out via the internal road near the Horse area. This new arrangement is aimed to minimise risk to competitors and the public and we would appreciate your co-operation in helping to make our show a safer place for everyone. These arrangements will be weather permitting. BELLINGEN HAS A BAT COLONY WHICH CREATES A HENDRA RISK. VACCINATION AGAINST HENDRA IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT COMPULSORY. PLEASE BRING EVIDENCE OF ANY VACCINATION & PIC NUMBERS TO THE SHOW. FOR FURTHER INFORMATION, REFER GENERAL INFORMATION AND REGULATIONS/HORSE HEALTH IN THIS SCHEDULE. St Johns First Aid will be on the grounds for the duration of the Show. Any competitor who falls from a horse or is injured in any way must not be moved until the St John officers have assessed the patient and they have made a decision as to treatment. Helmets. Competitors should be aware of the new Equestrian Australia helmet regulations that were adopted on 19 October Current Australian standard AS/NZS 3838 (2006 onwards) are acceptable provided they are SAI Global marked. New Australian standard ARB HS 2012 are acceptable provided they are SAI Global marked. Competitors are advised to comply with this new regulation and are responsible for their own headgear. Agricultural shows require that ASA approved headgear be worn by competitors. Stables. Bellingen Show aims to provide good quality stabling at the Show. When you arrive at Bellingen Show, the stables will be clean and prepared with sawdust for those competitors who have booked stables prior to the Show. You are expected to leave your stable clean when you leave. Please present your current 2 day Membership wristband at the gate. Horses are required to be registered/recorded in appropriate studbook. Registration papers to be shown on request. Are led unless otherwise stated. Horses are required to be measured and owners to be in possession of a height certificate. Horse must have not won a 1ST in any individual ridden hack class at any Agricultural or official show. Horse must not have won a 1 ST in any individual OPEN ridden hack class or Open Championship at any Agricultural or official show. Horse must not have won a 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd at a Royal Show. HORSE and RIDER must be a resident of the Bellingen Shire. Are not eligible to compete in ridden classes unless specified and cannot compete in Hack classes. Only judges, stewards and competitors in the classes being judged will be allowed into the ring. Competitors in each class must report to the judge within three minutes of the final call for the class. No more competitors in that class will be admitted to the ring and judging will proceed. All competitors compete at their OWN RISK. All prize money must be collected by the second day of the show. No prize money will be posted. Competitors are required to have Ambulance cover. Bellinger River Show Society Ltd is NOT responsible for ambulance costs incurred by competitors.

6 RING PROGRAM PROHIBITED DRUGS APPEALS HEAD PROTECTION STABLING CAMPING ENTRY TO THE SHOW INDEMNITY FORMS ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT GRAND PARADE PONY CLUB CLASSES SHANNON MEMORIAL TROPHY HORSE HEALTH ASC RULES No undue delays in the ring program will be allowed. In the event of two rings clashing, competitors will be obliged to decide in which event they wish to compete. Horses shall perform on their merits without the aid of drugs. It is the responsibility of competitors to ensure that no horse enters the ring under the influence of any prohibited drug. Drug testing may be randomly conducted at the Show. An appeal must be lodged by the plaintiff with the Chief Steward within thirty minutes of the completion of the class judging being notified. The Appeal must be in writing and accompanied by $50 which will be refunded by the Secretary if the Appeal is upheld. If the Appeal is lost, the Society will retain the deposit. Competitors must compete in ASA approved headwear applicable to the event in which they are competing. $15.00 per stable or $4.00 per yard for the duration of the Show. See separate booking form attached. Payments must be made in full at the time of booking. No refunds will be given. NO PAY - NO STABLE. NO ELECTRIC FENCING OR PORTABLE YARDS ALLOWED ON THE SHOWGROUND. $15.00 for the two nights during the Show. Camping is to be paid for in advance with stable booking. See attached form. All competitors must pay admission to the show. See prices above. All competitors at the Bellingen Show compete entirely at their own risk. Entries are only accepted on this understanding. Indemnity forms need to be signed and completed prior to purchasing ring tickets. All exhibitors bringing electrical equipment to the showground are required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and has been tagged by a licensed electrician. Inspection of Equipment will be carried out by the Safety Officer. Any tagging will be at exhibitor s expense. All competitors are encouraged to take part in the Grand Parade to be held on Saturday afternoon. Competitors who take part in the Parade will automatically go into the draw to win $50. Open to current financial members of any Pony Club. Must be in full club uniform. These events will be held under Pony Club rules. Open to Bellingen Pony Club members ONLY. Rider to be in full Club uniform. This will be judged as a presentation class. Horse owners are responsible for ensuring that their horse is in good health to attend the Bellingen Show especially in relation to Equine Influenza and Hendra virus. Refer to DPI guidelines regarding these diseases VACCINATION AGAINST HENDRA VIRUS IS RECOMMENDED BUT NOT COMPULSORY. Horse owners should be aware of the symptoms of Hendra virus infection and monitor their horse s health closely and notify the Committee if there are any suspicious symptoms. All horses that stay overnight during the show must be stabled in the undercover stables and owners should ensure water buckets etc are well under cover. No horses to be tied to floats/trucks overnight. A Horse Welfare Officer will be on the grounds during the Show to monitor horse health and the Committee has the authority to call a vet if they believe a horse is seriously ill. Any vet fees incurred will be the responsibility of the horse owner. All owners/competitors will be required to sign a Waiver form at the Show, stating their horse is, to the best of their knowledge, fit and healthy or they will not be allowed to compete at the Show. Please bring PIC & Hendra vaccination details with you. This show will be conducted under the Agricultural Societies Council of NSW Ltd Rules for Discipline in Horse Sections at Shows. Refer to

20 SHOWJUMPING (UNOFFICIAL) COMPETITION RULES All events are run under modified EFA and EFI rules. All competitors must be NEATLY AND APPROPRIATELY ATTIRED for a showjumping competition. A white shirt, tie, pale breeches and top boots are essential. Jacket is optional. Bellinger River Agricultural Society Ltd reserves the right to cancel any or all events due to weather. The judge s decision is final. The competition organisers reserve the right to accept or reject any entry without assigning any reason therefore. In the case of rejection, there will be no refunds of fees. The competition organisers reserve the right to amend the program without notice. Ribbons to 6 th place. Prize money to 4th place.
