PRIZE MONEY: 1st 25, 2nd 10, 3rd 5 (RIHS classes) 1st 10, 2nd 7, 3rd 4 (all other classes) All prize money must be collected on the day of the Show. In classes with 6 entries or less forward on the day only first prize money will be awarded. Rosettes will be awarded to 4th place in each class. N.C.P.A. STAR ROSETTES will be awarded in classes 40, 43, 44, 45, 47, 51, 54, 60, 61 & 66 Exhibitors must enter the ring wearing their N.C.P.A. Badge and present their current Membership Card to the Judge. N.C.P.A. REGISTER ROSETTES will be awarded to the highest placed N.C.P.A. registered pony in classes 41, 42, 44, 45, 48, 53, 61, 63, 64 & 65. It is a condition of entry that the pony s NCPA registered number is quoted on the entry form. Pink cards to be produced in the ring. Pony of the Year Show and the Part Bred Welsh Ridden Championships to be held in conjunction with the Pony of the Year Show at Warren Farm Equestrian Centre, Formby, Lancashire L37 0AN on Sunday 9th September First, second and third prizewinners in appropriate classes will qualify and highest not qualified in the first six for Part Bred Welsh in appropriate classes. ALL champions and reserve champions at any NCPA Branch Show will receive a GOLDEN TICKET to qualify for the Golden Supreme Championships to be held at the Pony of the Year Show. Entry for the championships is FREE however competitors MUST be members of the NCPA and ENTER AT LEAST one other class at the championships. Prize money at the final is: 1 st 500, 2 nd 300, 3 rd 100, 4 th 50, 5 th 25 and 25 for each supreme. This Show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society ( B.S.P.S. ), and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in B.S.P.S. classes, whether or not members of the B.S.P.S. are subject to the Rules of the B.S.P.S, including the disciplinary procedures, and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the B.S.P.S. This Show is affiliated Royal International Horse Show. The highest placed pony not already qualified from the first three ponies in Classes Pretty Polly Classes will qualify. Owners & riders must be B.S.P.S. members before the date of the show to compete in the classes with qualification for R.I.H.S. and Blue Riband animals must be registered with the B.S.P.S. This Show is a qualifier for the 2018 B.S.P.S Classic Security UK LTD Challenge. The following will qualify Lead Rein, First Ridden, Lead Rein of Hunter Type, Open Show Pony, Open Show Hunter Pony, Nursery Stakes, Open Working Hunter Pony, the Open Intermediate SRT, SH, WH and Heritage classes. The highest placed pony that has not qualified for the 2018 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the BSPS Challenge the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony. If after qualifying for the Challenge a pony qualifies for HOYS it will forfeit its qualification for the BSPS Challenge. Animals may qualify for both the Blue Riband of the Year and the Challenge, but must select which competition they compete in at the B.S.P.S. Championships show. They may not compete in the same class in the BSPS Challenge & the Blue Riband of the Year. Cradle Stakes & Lead Rein of Hunter type. The highest placed pony that has not qualified for the BSPS Challenge will qualify if the highest placed pony has already qualified the qualification will go to the next eligible pony. The final will be held at the B.S.P.S. Summer Championships Show. Please refer to Rule 516 in the 2018 BSPS Rule and Show Handbook This Show is a qualifier for the 2018 B.S.P.S Premier League, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th placed ponies in the Lead Rein and First Ridden, Mixed Height Show Pony, Lead Rein Hunter Type, Mixed Height Show Hunter Pony, Nursery Stakes, Mixed Height Working Hunter Pony, Intermediate Show Riding and Show Hunter, Working Hunter and Heritage classes. This Show is a qualifier for the B.S.P.S Binks family Champion of Champions, the Champion Mini Show Pony, the Champion Mini WHP, the Champion Open Show Pony, the Champion Open WHP/WH, and the Champion Open SHP will qualify. The first placed ponies in the Heritage Open Mountain and Moorland Classes will qualify for the B.S.P.S Industrial Salt Supplies WOW FACTOR ( Winner of Winners ) at the B.S.P.S Summer Championships This Show is a qualifier for the 2018 B.S.P.S Black Country Saddles Best Rider of the Year. The Best Rider in the Open Lead Rein, First Ridden, Open Lead Rein Hunter Type, Mixed Height Show Pony, Mixed Height SHP, the Cradle and Nursery Stakes, Mixed Height WHP, the Intermediate Show Riding Type and Show Hunter, Working Hunter and Heritage classes will receive a Card and qualify for the final at the B.S.P.S Summer Championships Show. This Show is a qualifier for the 2018 B.S.P.S. Championships Show, to be held at Arena UK, Grantham, Lincs.

4 The 1st and 2nd prize winners only in the following classes Lead Rein & First Ridden and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners in the Open Intermediate S.R.T. (including Mixed Height) W.H. and S.H.T. and C.S will qualify. In MIXED HEIGHT CLASSES the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed ponies will qualify for the B.S.P.S. Championships Show, provided the animal is registered in accordance with Rules 23 and 28 and ridden by a BSPS member. This Show is affiliated to the 2018 Equifest Showing Show, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 8 th 12 th August Qualification cards will no longer be sent to the Show Secretary. Instead it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have a qualification card before entering the show and getting this signed by either the Judge, Steward or Show Secretary at the time of qualification. Qualification cards will be sent out free of charge to exhibitors on request. Equifest qualifier classes also carry a dual qualification with Ponies (UK) Championships. To enter the National Showing Championship Show the rider/handler and horse/pony must register with 15+Horse and Pony Events within 21days of the qualifying show date. Rules as per the 2018 handbook. Owners & riders have to be current SHB (GB) members in all ridden classes. The organisers of the show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid & prevent accidents occurring & must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the Officials & Stewards. RIHS qualifying classes Classes 1 6 & 26 are qualifying classes for the RIHS 2018 and only horses registered on the 2017 register are eligible to enter. Novice Working Hunter Rules state not to have won a total of 100 or 5 BE Points or 200 BS Points. Day Ticket = 30 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 1 show in the year it covers owner and rider membership together with horse registration for that show). If the class is a qualifying class for RIHS, in order for the qualification to be valid, application for full owner/rider membership and horse registration must be received in the SHB(GB) office within 14 days. ALL COMPETITORS MUST wear Correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hats that meet one of the following current Safety Standards: All PAS 015; VG1; ASTM F a onwards; SNELL E2001; AS/NZS onwards. It is mandatory for competitors under the age of 18 to wear such skull caps or hats. In the jumping phase of working hunter classes the aforementioned skull caps/riding hats must be worn. Working hunter. Open to mares, geldings, stallions (must wear red, white & blue ribbon in tail) 4yrs old & over exceeding 148cms to be judged in accordance with SHB of GB rules. Grade A show-jumpers & Advanced Event horses not eligible to compete in these classes. The maximum total points available is 100. This is made up of: Jumping points = Max 40 points, Style & Presence whilst Jumping = Max 20 points, Ride/Manners = Max 20 points, Conformation = max 20 points. AMATEUR STATUS: A person is an amateur for showing purposes when showing ridden hunters if she or he does not: a) Engage in livery, buying, selling, dealing or hiring horses as a means of deriving a main source of income since 1st January b) Accept remuneration whether it be monetary or goods in kind for employment in connection with horses in a racing, showing, livery stables or riding school. (Instruction at Pony Club or Riding Clubs excepted) since 1st January c) Show a horse owned or sponsored by a company or commercial form or a horse for which his or her immediate family accepts livery or training charges from a person outside the immediate concern since 1st January d) Show a horse which a professional rider has ridden in any ridden hunter or ridden Sport Horse class during the current year, with the exception of working hunter classes & ladies hunter classes unless the horse has subsequently re-registered under new ownership. e) Show a horse which is exhibited by a professional rider at the same show (except in a working hunter class on the same day). Amateur Home Produced Horses which are either stabled at home or in a DIY yard and which since 1 st

5 January 2018 have not been shown by a professional during the current season or stabled in a professional yard at any time in Must be ridden by an Amateur. This does not exclude the Amateur Owner Home Produced riders having lessons at any time with an instructor, providing the horse remains stabled at home or in a DIY yard. f) An amateur working hunter may not be ridden by a professional rider in a working hunter class on the same day. Professional show persons may not enter the Amateur ring whilst the class is in progress. A professional show person is another term for a professional producer and as such a professional groom who works for a producer can enter the ring to groom. g) A professional rider must not ride or exercise an amateur s horse on the day it is competing in amateur classes. ROYAL INTERNATIONALHORSE SHOW ( RIHS ) The Society designates certain Shows as qualifying shows for the RIHS at which horses may qualify for the RIHS in the current year or at specific shows for the following year. At these Shows the two highest placed horses in the Lightweight, Middleweight, Heavyweight, Small and Ladies (side saddle) Classes will qualify to enter at the RIHS. No horse lower than second will qualify. In the Working Hunter class the three highest placed horses will qualify. No horse lower than third will qualify. If there is a Working Hunter Championship made up of the first and second prize winners from the light and heavyweight working hunter classes respectively, these four horses will qualify for RIHS unless they have already done so. Where there is only one amateur ridden hunter class the two highest placed smalls, the two highest placed lightweights, the two highest placed middleweights and the two highest placed heavyweights will qualify. When there are two classes, in the lightweight section, the two highest placed smalls and the two highest placed lightweights will qualify and in the heavyweight section the two highest placed middleweights and the two highest placed heavyweights will qualify. This Show is a Qualifier for the 2018 NPS Area 4 Northern Breeders Championships to be held at the NPS Area 4 North of England Show on Monday 27 th August The champion and reserve champion in the Mountain and Moorland Supreme In Hand championship will qualify This Show is a qualifier for TSR Showing Finals - This show is a qualifier for the 2018 TSR Showing Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR Riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. Full details at TSR Medal Awards - TSR members can collect qualification cards & signatures and redeem for a TSR Medal see TSR website for details. BSHA Grass Roots & SHGB Riding Club Champs - With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA Grass Roots Champs in Sept at Addington Equestrian Centre - You do not have to be a BSHA member to qualify or enter the final. See PLUS the Sport Horse GB Riding Club Championship NORTH OF ENGLAND 1000 QUALIFIERS This show is a Qualifier for the 2018 North of England Summer 1000 Championships Shows held at Arena UK, Grantham on Saturday 30 th June 2018 (North of England Horse Show) and Saturday 7 th July 2018 (North of England Pony Show) and Sunday 8 th July 2018 (North of England Mountain & Moorland Show).Exhibitors who qualify for the finals will be sent details directly from: The Secretary, North of England Show, Blue Slate Stables, Showley Rd, Clayton-le-Dale, Blackburn, Lancs, BB1 9DP Tel: The 1st & 2nd in the Amateur Show Hunter classes will qualify for the Royal Angel Supreme Amateur Show Horse Championship on 30th June 2018 at the North of England Summer Horse Show The Pretty Polly Champion will qualify for the Top Spec Pretty Polly Championship at the North of England Summer Pony Show on 7th July If the winner has already qualified the Reserve will go forward. The Champion and Reserve Champion Coloured will qualify for the The Vanguard Property Holdings Supreme Ridden Coloured Championship to be held at the North of England show on 8th July 2018.

6 This Show is a qualifier for the Blue Chip & Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) 2000 Challenge. The final will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on Saturday 18 th Sunday 19 th August 2018 at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire. All those entering the Irish Draught Class 7 must abide by the rules of the society below: Conditions of Entry The Class 7 is affiliated to the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) and only horses registered with or overstamped by the IDHS (GB) and in the correct ownership are eligible for entry. Registration numbers must be stated on the entry form. The judge will ride. All competing Stallions must be inspected or over stamped by the IDHS (GB) and classified as RID (GB), ID Class 1 or ID Class 2 OR Registered Irish Draught Sport Horse Stallion and must display a red, white and blue ribbon on their tails. All riders of stallions MUST be 18 years of age or over. All ridden horses must be 153cm (15hh) or over. This show is a Qualifier for the Blue Chip & Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) 2,000 Challenge. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from Class 14 will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) 2,000 Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 19 th 20 th August 2017 at Arena U, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire NG23 2EF N.B: A horse may only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card and a 10 voucher from Blue Chip. Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the Final. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded 1,000 prize money, a trophy and a Blue Chip rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded 500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded 100 each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and 100, the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a trophy and 50 and the highest placed *Amateur Produced and Ridden Horse will receive a silver salver and a rug. This show is a qualifier and affiliated to Equine Sports UK (ESUK) Grassroots Championships to be held at Arena (UK), Grantham, Lincs on 2 nd 5 th August The three highest placed exhibits who fit the criteria in the relevant classes will qualify. 9 SHOW RULES It is a condition of entry that Exhibitors agree to be bound by the rules herewith underany objection must be made in writing with a deposit of in cash, (refundable if the objection is upheld),within 30 minutes of theclass taking place. The organising Committee accept no responsibility whatsoever for any loss, injury or damage to any person or their property whilst on the showground, car parks or approaches. THE N.C.P.A DOES NOT allow anyone to bring their horses or ponies to ride or walk round at the showwithout entering a class due to the N.C.P.A Public liability INSURANCE Ruling. Anyone found to bebreaking this rule will be asked to leave the showground immediately. Entry fees will not be refunded and it is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that their entry is correct, eligible and available when called for their class. Exhibitors must take into consideration that classes may clash. If this occurs, they must nominate which class they wish to compete in. No classes will be held up for any competitor. IT IS THE RULE OF NEWARK SHOWGROUND AND THE N.C.P.A that a correctly secured Skull Caps/Riding Hats Nos AllPAS015, VGI, ASTM F a onwards, SNELLE2001, AS/NZS onwards MUST Be worn by competitors, riders and judges at ALL TIMES whilst mounted. Entries for affiliated classes will also be bound by the Rules and Conditions in force at the time of showing, applicable to that Association and the class in which they are exhibiting. It is deemed by the organising Committee that exhibitors are conversant with any such rules, conditions or directives. The organising Committee reserve the right to amalgamate or split classes and alter or amend the running order of classes. In the event of a show being cancelled, entry fees, less a deduction for administration charges, will be refunded. The Committee reserves the right to expel any animal from the ring which in their opinion is not deemed to be fit or under sufficient control. Show canes or whips to be no longer than 75 cms/30 inches. Horses/ponies which have been bred, sold, leased or produced by the Judge, his/her immediate family or Employer are not eligible for that class. Mountain and Moorland ponies must be:- a) Shown in their natural state. b) Registered with their respective Pure Breed Society. c) Registration number quoted on entry forms. Stallions and colts must be adequately bitted and under the control of a competent rider/handler PLEASE NOTE: It is the rule of NPS & Ponies UK that Stallions/Colts may not be led by any juniors who have not attained their 14th birthday before January 1st in the current year. Riders must have attained their 12th birthday before 1st January of the current year when riding small breed Mountain & Moorland stallions and show/show hunter stallions not exceeding 128cms. Riders of large breed Mountain & Moorland stallions and show/show hunter stallion exceeding 128cms must have attained their 14th birthday before 1s January of the current year. Lead rein ponies will be shown in a snaffle bridle only. Lead reins attached to the noseband. The mucking out of horse boxes/trailers is not permitted on the showground. Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times whilst on the Showground. A Perpetual Trophy won by a competitor must be returned at the appropriate time to the Secretary either by hand or by registered post. Any lost trophies will have to be paid for at their replacement value.
