They present in afternoon wear at this stage and each exhibit is required to give an individual show. Each exhibit will be awarded a mark out of 20 for this show, which will be combined with the marks from the earlier judging of Ride and Conformation, to calculate final scores. Final of Class 1 Pure bred Stallions Final of Class 2 Pure bred Geldings Final of Class 3 Pure bred Mares Final of Class 4 Part Bred or Anglo Arab The first two in each class are required for the championship which will be judged by the normal comparative system by the both the Ridden and the Conformation judge. 3 BRITISH ARABIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS ADDITIONAL AWARDS N.B The following additional awards will be presented and exhibitors are asked to indicate on the entry form those for which they are eligible. In each class there will be: A sash presented to the highest placed Amateur Home Produced horse. An award to the highest placed horse owned by its breeder A rosette to the highest placed Three Generations British Bred horse. There will be a corresponding championship & trophy for each of the above additional awards Final Score sheets for all the classes will be available after the event. Either leave an A5 SAE with the Secretary at the show or npaarabians@aol.com BRITISH ARABIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS COMMENCING 9AM INDOOR ARENA RIDDEN CLASSES Judges: Ride - Miss E Needham Conformation - Mr Rhodri Jones Class 1: Pure Bred Stallions, 4 yrs old and over, ridden and judged as riding horses Class 2 Class 3 Pure Bred Geldings, 4 yrs old and over, ridden and judged as riding horses Pure Bred Mares, 4 yrs old and over, ridden and judged as riding horses Class 4 Anglo or Part Bred 4 yrs old and over, ridden and judged as riding horses These classes will be split if/as numbers warrant. The ridden classes will be judged using the following format: All horses present in the indoor at the start of the class. They are assessed under saddle and ridden by the judge as in a normal ridden class. Each exhibit is awarded a mark out of 40 for the Ride. At this stage marks are not announced and horses will not be placed. The class then returns immediately to the arena, where type & conformation is assessed. Each horse is given a mark out of 20 for this section. N.B No change of bridle will be allowed. A change of handler is permitted. Immediately after the conformation judging the exhibits receive commemorative rosettes. With the exception of the finalists exhibitors will be able to view their marks after the completion of all ridden classes. EVENING FINALE -TOP EIGHT FINALISTS The eight horses with the highest combined ride and conformation marks are announced in catalogue order immediately after the conformation element. The top eight finalists are then required to return in the evening for the final judging. They will present in afternoon wear at this stage and they will each be required to give an individual show. Each exhibit will be awarded a mark out of 20 for this show, which will be combined with the marks from the earlier judging of ride and conformation, to give the final score and therefore the placing.

The finale and championships are expected to continue until around 9pm Prize money will be withheld for any exhibit not appearing for its relevant championships. Stabling has been arranged at a very reasonable 65 for the whole weekend until Monday morning enabling exhibitors to take advantage, stay and enjoy the evening. Stabling to be booked using the Stabling Form. Only those suitably attired will be allowed into the rings for presentations of rosettes and trophies. This is your opportunity. Dress to Impress! This is very important as photographs may be used in the future for promoting the British Arabian Championships in The Arab Horse Society News, the Arabian Magazine and the Horse and Hound.
