4 DIVISION & CLASS DESCRIPTIONS Day End Awards in All Divisions! ALL STIRRUP - Open to all ages. Trotting fences is allowed. Simple lead changes will not be penalized. Fences 18 in height. ELEMENTARY - Open to all ages. Fences 2 in height. Simple lead changes will not be penalized. Professionals Welcome! LEAD LINE - Open to riders of all ages who require a leader. Therapeutic riders welcome. Leaders must be 14 or older. WALK-TROT OPEN - For riders of all ages & disciplines, no professionals. To be shown at walk & trot only. Rider may not cross-enter into any regular class required to canter, but may enter All Stirrup O/F classes & any class not required to canter. GREEN HORSE & PONY - Open to horses & ponies who are new to the show ring. To be shown at a walk & trot only. Professionals Welcome! Horses & ponies may enter All Stirrup O/F classes & any class not required to canter. PONY - For ponies 14.2 and under. Riders of all ages & disciplines. To be shown at a walk, trot & canter or lope. WESTERN - For riders of all ages. To be shown at a walk, trot, canter or lope. Professionals Welcome! ALL BREED A special division for all breeds, riders of all ages & disciplines. HACK CLASS Combination of Flat and 2 Fences IN HAND CLASS To be shown leading your horse, wearing a halter or bridle, through a series of simple maneuvers, walking, jogging, backing, turning or circling. The horse itself is not judged on its conformation. You will be judged on how well you show your horse to its best advantage, with additional scoring for the grooming and presentation of both horse and handler. COMMAND CLASS Riders perform different gait or seat transitions when the word NOW is SPOKEN! Riders with the least difficulty win! SPECTATOR S CLASS Open to all spectators, class type is judge s choice! CARRIAGE DRIVING PLEASURE CLASS Open to horses and ponies used for single driving, no pairs allowed. Judged on the equine that is a pleasure to drive, calm, confident and obedient! Shown walk, trot and halt only. Backing may be asked. RBE TRAIL CHALLENGE CLASS A welcoming course of obstacles to challenge you and your horse s skills. Perfomed as a timed event! Rider with the best time and less faults wins! SHOW RULES & REGULATIONS Point System: 1 st 7 2 nd 5 3 rd 4 4 th 3 5 th 2 6 th 1 All riders, trainers and lesson facilities please take notice We emphasize proper horse show etiquette within a safe, relaxed and fun atmosphere! 1) Show begins at 9am. Rings & Secretary s booth open at 7:30. 2) The judge s decision is final. No exhibitor or person shall approach the judge unless they first obtain permission from the show manager. Any exhibitor or person disregarding this rule may be asked to cancel all entries & forfeit entry fees. 3) The show committee reserves the right to vary or change show officials or judges, to decline any entry, & to combine or cancel any class if there are less than 3 entries. 4) RBE & Journey s Haven shall not be held responsible for any accident or loss which may occur to an exhibitor, spectator, guest, rider, groom, attendant, or any other employee, animal or equipment. 5) For everyone s safety when mounted, ALL riders are required to wear protective head gear. PER LIABILITY OF THE ORGANIZATIONS! NO EXCEPTIONS! 6) For everyone s safety - NO DOGS or OTHER ANIMALS ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES PLEASE. 7) Schooling & lunging is permitted in authorized areas only. $30.00 is charged for any horse using our rings and not showing. The jumping warm-ups are not allowed unless the horse is entered in our show. 8) Any horse or rider entered & not exhibited shall forfeit fees, unless the show committee is presented with a veterinary or physician certificate. A $20.00 service fee will be charged per transaction. 9) Proof of Negative Coggins required by MA State Law. 10) Classes will be split per Judge s discretion. 11) Walk-Trot riders, horses & ponies may NOT cross-enter into FLAT classes required to CANTER. 12) ATTIRE: No Jacket, no problem but dressing conservatively is desired. Smooth black leather half chaps also allowed. Braiding is always optional. 13) Horses that require special equipment are always welcome. (Example - Bitless Bridles, Hackamores, Easy Boots, Anti-Grazing Reins). Standing or Running Martingales allowed in O/F classes only. No Tie Downs, German Martingales or Draw Rein type equipment allowed while competing however schooling with it is allowed. 14) Jumping Warm-Up: Held as indicated on class list. Please be courteous to other riders, horses and trainers. Riders must be entered in an over fence class & must have a NUMBER to enter the ring! 15) Make checks payable to the RBE! 16) CREDIT CARDS WELCOME! 5% convenience fee added.
