3 ENTRY FEES Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers The entry fee includes a Horse of the Year Show contribution. Horse of the Year Show Classes, postal entries must be received by 15th June, online entries will close on 22nd June, after this date online entries only will be accepted until 27 th June at 10 extra per class. Definitely no entries on the day. All other ridden classes N.C.P.A. Members Non Members In Hand Classes N.C.P.A. Members Non Members Non HOYS classes, entries on the day will be accepted at 5 extra per class. Exhibitors sending cheques that are not honored by the bank will be charged 10 extra, and if not paid in full, entries will not be accepted either this year or in the future. ALL INCOMPLETE, ILLEGIBLE OR INCORRECT ENTRIES WILL BE RETURNED PRIZE MONEY : Horse of the Year Show Qualifiers 1st nd rd All other ridden classes: 1st nd rd No prize money for in hand classes. This competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings, four years old and over, to be registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of, the main body of their respective stud books. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register or BSPS. Ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant Breed Societies. Riders of stallions must have obtained their 12 th Birthday (small breeds) or 14 th birthday (large breeds) before 1 st January in the current year. These classes will be run in accordance with the general rules as set out in the Horse of the Year Show rulebook, a copy of which can be downloaded from This is a Horse of the Year Show Qualifier, all data given upon entry of this class is provided to Grandstand Media Limited and stored on the Grandstand Entries System. 6 RING 2 Commencing 8.00 am on Saturday HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW JUNIOR MOUNTAIN AND MOORLAND RIDDEN PONY OF THE YEAR SPONSORED BY PONIES ASSOCIATION (UK) Judges: Perf. Mrs. P. Potter Conf. Mrs. S. Phelan This competition is open to mares and geldings, four years old and over, to be registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of, the main body of their respective stud books. Ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant Breed Societies. Partbreds are not eligible to compete. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register or BSPS. This class is divided into the two sections as follows: CLASS 9 Section B Large Breeds Open to New Forest, Connemara, Fell, Dales, Highland, Welsh Section C and Welsh Section D ponies. Riders must have attained their 10 th birthday before the 1 st January in the current year, and not have attained their 18 th birthday before the 1 st January in the current year. CLASS 10 Section A Small Breeds Open to Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Welsh Section A or Welsh Section B ponies. Riders must have attained their 10 th birthday before the 1 st January in the current year, and not have attained their 14 th birthday before the 1 st January in the current year. Ryde-Rogers This competition is open to mares and geldings, four years old and over registered in the main body of their respective Stud Books. Riders and Owners must be members of their respective Breed Society, NPS, Ponies (UK), The Showing Register, or BSPS. This class is divided into two sections: CLASS 11 Section A CLASS 12 Section B Mountain and Moorland Lead Rein. Ponies not to exceed 122cm however ponies must also not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant Breed Societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday by the day of the competition, but must not have attained their 9th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The winner to receive the Ellie Trophy Mountain and Moorland First Ridden. Ponies not to exceed 128cm however ponies must also not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant Breed Societies. Riders must have attained their 3rd by the day of competition, and not have attained their 12th birthday before the 1st January in the current year. The winner to receive the K. Baskeyfield Shield. Championship - E 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes to compete THE NPS/DARGAVAL M&M YOUNG OPEN RIDDEN PONY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Class 18 Class 19 Class 20 All breeds 4 years old. NPS/MINNS FAMILY M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship (SM-MMR) To be judged by Mrs. G Simpson A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the NPS AFFILIATED M&M Ridden section Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification.

This competition is open to stallions, mares and geldings, four years old and over, to be registered in, and complying with the showing requirements of, the main body of their respective stud books. Ponies must not exceed the height limits as stipulated by the relevant Breed Societies. Ryde-Rogers Class 42 Class 43 Class 44 Colt, filly or gelding, 1, 2 & 3 years old not to exceed 153 cms at maturity. Winner to receive the Town & Country Services Shield Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over not exceeding 133cms. Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old or over, exceeding 133cms. and not exceeding 153 cms. The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second are already qualifed. Championship N 1st and 2nd prize winner from classes compete. Champion to receive the Town and Country Services Rose Bowl. THE NPS SHOW PONY IN-HAND SUPREME NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Kindly sponsored by NPS Area 20 Judge: Mrs. J. Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old and over not exceeding 138cms. Winner to receive Ashlands Contessa Trophy. Class 47 # Stallion, mare or gelding 4 years old or over, exceeding 138cms. and not exceeding 153 cms. Winner to receive Martins Auto Electrical trophy. The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second are already qualified. Class 55 Two and three year old colt, filly or gelding registered with the respective Pure Breed Societies of Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest. NPS M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship (SM-MMIH) Sponsored by KILMANNAN STUD To be judged by Mrs. G. Simpson A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the NPS AFFILIATED M&M In Hand section (Classes 52 61). The Sponsor s Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the qualification. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification.

14 SUPREME IN HAND CHAMPION OF THE SHOW To take place at the end of all the In Hand Classes. Open to All Champions and Reserve Champions. The Supreme In Hand Champion will receive the Willow Bay Trophy, a sash, 60 and the Reserve Champion will receive a sash and 40. Champion and Reserve Champion will qualify for the President s Cup at the NCPA Pony of the Year Show. ************************************************************************ RING 4 Not before 11.00am. on Saturday THE NPS/PICTON STUD M&M NOVICE RIDDEN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP Class 62 New Forest and Connemara. Class 63 Welsh C & D. Class 64 Fell, Highland and Dales. Class 65 Dartmoor, Exmoor, and Shetland. Class 66 Welsh A and Welsh B. Judge: Mrs. S. Phelan Open to pure bred registered M & M stallions, mares and geldings four years old or over. A pony is not eligible to compete if, before 1 st January in the current year, it has done any of the following: i) Won an open NPS affiliated mixed M&M Ridden class ii) Won a qualifying round for HOYS, RIHS or Olympia Open M&M Ridden Classes. iii) If a pony qualifies for any of the above in its second year it is immediately denoviced and cannot enter the final v) Qualified for the M&M Novice or Intermediate Ridden final at the NPS Summer Championship show (N.B. Ponies can compete as novices in this competition for two consecutive years provided they do not submit an entry to the final in the first year). Rich This competition is for Working Hunters, any weight, mares, geldings or stallion (competing stallions must have a red, white and blue ribbon displayed in their tail) four years old or over, exceeding 148cm, to be ridden. Any horse which has qualified as a Grade A Show Jumper or Advanced Event Horse as at 1 st January in the current year is not eligible to compete in Working Hunter classes.
