7 * 06 DECEMBER 2015 * 31 JANUARY 2016 Also please indicate on entry form if entry to be considered for NPS Qualifiers (Classes 2 and 4). * NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY/Fodder Solutions : SUPREME DRESSAGE CHAMPIONSHIP This competition was introduced to encourage both performance and education of British bred ponies and their riders. Qualifiers will run from 1 April 2015 through to 31 March 2016 and culminate in the NPS/Fodder Solutions Supreme Dressage Championship Final and International Challenge to be held at the prestigious show venue Addington Manor Equestriaon Centre, Addington, Buckinghamshire on. Stabling will be available. The finals will be run under NPS Dressage Rules in 2015/2016 and the qualifiers will be run under British Dressage rules wherever possible. All qualifying shows will use P.13 and N.34 throughout. Each test will consist of six sections all of which will have their own Final. Shows are preferred to offer all sections but exceptions will be considered fro approval by the Dressage Working Group. The two highest placed ponies in each section at each qualifying show will qualify for the 2015 Final and be eligible to be chosen to compete for their Breed or NPS Area Team in the International Challenge which is to be incorporated into the 2015 Final. Sections are open to:- 1: Registered M&M breeds not exc 138cms 2: Registered M&M breeds exceeding 138cms 3: Registered British Riding Ponies 4: Part Bred Horses/Ponies registered with their appropriate Native Breed Part Bred Stud Book including Part Bred Arab ponies over-stamped in the British Riding Pony Stud book and ponies registered with the British Sports Pony Stud Book. Riders any age with the exception of those riding stallions who must have attainged their 14 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year This competition is open to stallions, mares or geldings 4 years old and over, registered within one or more of the following stud books; a) The part bred or anglo arab section of the Arab Horse Society with a minimum of 12.5% Arab blood. b) The part bred section of the Welsh Pony & Cob Stud Books with a minimum of 12.5% Welsh blood. c) The part bred section of the Dartmoor Pony Stud Book with a minimum of 12.5% Dartmoor blood. d) The part bred section of the British Connemara Stud Book with a minimum of 25% Connemara blood. e) The part bred section of the New Forest Pony Stud Book with a minimum of 25% New Forest blood. Class 26: RESTRICTED RIDDEN PART BRED PONY CLASS (WELSH & ARABS ONLY) Stallion, mare or gelding, 4 years old or over exceeding 148cms but not exceeding 158cms. All ponies must be shown plaited st, 2 nd & 3 rd prizewinners to qualify for the 2016 B.S.P.S Winter Championship Show 4. Animals in the Part Bred classes will NOT be ridden by the judge. 5. Owners and riders must be B.S.P.S Members, except in the case of exhibitors who have never beed B.S.P.S members before who are allowed 7 days in which to join 6. RULES FOR RESTRICTED QUALIFICATION IN THE PART BRED CLASSES; Animals eligible for the Restricted Part Bred Classes must NOT have been placed 1 st to 8 th at the R.I.H.S or H.O.Y.S in the Part Bred Classes in 2014/2015/2016 The first prizewinner from each of the Open/Restricted classes and the Open First Pony of Show Pony or Show Hunter Pony Type class will qualify for the BSPS Winter Winners Competition to be held at the Winter Championships to be held on March 2016 at Arena UK, Grantham. RULES FOR RESTRICTED QUALIFICATION IN THE OPEN SHOW PONY CLASSES Restricted Open Show Pony Animals eligible for the Restricted Show Pony Classes must NOT have been placed 1 st to 8 th at the R.H.I.S (except Pretty Polly) or H.O.Y.S in the Show Pony Classes in 2014/2015/2016 For shows held on or before 31 December 2015 All rules as per the 2015 BSPS Rule and Show Handbook, except for any new or amended rules as included in this schedule. For shows held on or after 1 January 2016 All rules as per the 2016 BSPS Rule and Show Handbook. All ponies must be four years old or over. Ages for riders as per the BSPS Rule and Show Handbook. BSPS QUALIFICATION The first, second and third prizewinners will qualify in the Novice Classes and the Open First Pony of Show Pony or Show Hunter Type Pony Class and in the MIXED HEIGHT NOVICE CLASSES the first, second, third and fourth prizewinners will qualify. In the Open Classes the three highest placed Restricted animals in each class will qualify and in the MIXED HEIGHT OPEN CLASSES, the four highest placed Restricted animals will qualify.
