18 18 WHICH SADDLE TYPE? Design The panel depth and shape varies according to the type of horse it is most suited to. Each panel is made up of a special memory foam layer and a layer of flocking so each panel can be tailor fitted to any horse. The panels are designed to achieve great stability and lightweight at the same time. Each saddle within the range has an AMS panel specially designed for a certain type of horse. There are three types of panels: Standard, Alto and Corto. Alto Panels Alto panels is built to fit horses with a prominent wither and greater height difference from wither to back. The saddle has a deeper AMS panel at the front and back to offer extra support and clearance over the wither and spine. The addition of a front gusset in the AMS panel gives clearance over the withers with extra padding in the region of the panel that sits just behind the shoulder to offer extra support where horses often lack muscle.
