2 RIDDEN CLASSES (affiliated S.P.S.B.S) Outdoor performance ring on surface Judge: Miss Jane Paterson Starts 9.30am Classes will follow on so please ensure forward early so you do not miss your class. The following classes are open to E.A.S.P.G members & non-members & S.P.S.B.S registered ponies only. All entries must have their own public liability insurance - see rules 7 & 8. Lead rein class ponies shown in a suitable snaffle bridle with reins going direct from the bit to the riders hands. The lead rein attachment to the nose band only. In each ridden class the rider will be required to perform an individual show. British standard safety hats must be secured when mounted. Also please read rules 2 & 4. Class 1: Lead Rein rider aged under 9 years on the 1 st of January Winner to receive the Cawley family perpetual cup. 3 DRIVING CLASSES (unaffiliated) Grass performance ring Judge: Mr J Cowels Starts 9.00am The following classes are open to E.A.S.P.G members and non-members. Open to registered and un registered ponies of Shetland size and type. See rules 7 & 8 re insurance. In all classes the pony to be put to an exercise or traditional style vehicle pneumatic tyres permitted (ie not car tyres) and judged on suitability & condition of vehicle, harness, ponies performance, manners & whips driving ability. Junior whips in any class must be under 16 years on the 1 st January 2018 and accompanied by a competent groom aged 18 years & above. Juniors must wear British standard safety head wear. There will be a 10 minute Change over period between classes for any vehicle/harness/pony changes, the classes will not be held longer than 10 minutes so please be prompt Class 23: Open multiples (pairs, tandem, etc.) Winner to receive the David & Peanuts perpetual trophy. Sponsored by Claife Stud Class 24: Whip. To be judge on the capabilities of the driver and driving procedure, open to singles or multiples and any vehicle see above rules. Winner to receive the Burghwood Stud cup. Sponsored by Class 25: Junior whip. To be judge on the capabilities of the driver and the driving procedure, open to whips up to the age of 16 a competent groom over the age of 18 must be carried. Sponsored by the Cawley Family Rules E.A.S.P.G. in hand and performance rules 1. Judges decision is final. 2. Ridden or driven ponies must be 4 years old or over 3. Children under 14 years of age may not show colts (except foals) or stallions in In hand classes. 4. Children under 11 years may not show stallions in ridden classes. 5. All handlers aged 14 years and under must wear a British standard hard hat. 6. Young handlers are aged 16 years and under. 7. The E.A.S.P.G and all it show organisers and officials will not be held liable for anything that may happen from any cause or circumstances what so ever to any person, animals, article or property. Its condition of entry that each exhibitor/competitor shall indemnify the show. Organisers and officials against any such matters foresaid. 8. Exhibitors/competitors must ensure all their exhibits are covered by their own public liability insurance and complete the declaration on the entry form. Participation at this event deems acceptance of these rules. 9. A judge may not place a pony, which to his/hers knowledge has been sold, leased or produced by the judge or his/her family or employer. Nor may he/she place a pony in which he/she has financial interest, nor place a stallion by which he/she has had a mare stinted in that season. Should a situation arise, a referee should be appointed by the show secretary to place the pony in the class. 10. In hand classes are run under S.P.S.B.S. rules. Only pony s registered S.P.S.B.S. may be entered. Name and registration number must be shown on entry form. 11. Lunch break- S.P.S.B.S. panel judge will have a approximate 45 minute break. 12. Class must be confined to registered ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form and in the catalogue if one is produced. Society rosette must only be given to ponies registered with the society or eligible for registration (ie foals) year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of 3 weeks old on the day of the show. All entire males aged 2 years and over must display a stallion disc. 14. There must be no colts or entire males in young handler classes. Children under 14 years old may not show colts (excluding foals) or entire males in in hand classes. Children under 12 years old on the day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interest of safety, hard must be worn by handlers aged 14 years or under in in hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors, irrespective of age, in ridden classes. In ridden classes if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part. 15. No prize money. 16. Competitors who enter classes that may coincide to do so at their own risk. 17. No refund of entry fees will be made unless accompanied by a veterinary certificate. 18. The exhibitor is asked to pay for engraving for a perpetual cup or trophy to maintain the cups history. Even if you do not wish to take prize home. Please remember the world horse welfare is a non-smoking venue please use the signed area!!
