2 Day by Day Itinerary Day One Arrive Johannesburg, assistance with connecting flight to Hoedspruit Airport Arrive Hoedspruit Airport and transfer to camp, approximately 30 minutes The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is part of the Greater Kruger Park and shares unfenced borders with the Kruger National Park. It is here that guests can take part in incredible walking safaris. On a walking safari, guests will be led by experienced and professional game rangers through a wildlife area rich in game including lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo as well as hyena, hippo, giraffe, zebra and a whole host of other wildlife. In addition to walking safaris, game drives and night drives are offered allowing guests to participate in a full spectrum of safari activities.

3 Africa on Foot Camp has five chalets ensuring an intimate and personal safari experience, as well as a pool, lounge and dining area and the traditional boma where guests can enjoy evening camp fires and traditional South African barbecues called "braais". Meals Included: All meals and activities Overnight: Africa on foot for three nights Day Four This morning after breakfast you will be met and transferred by road to Savanna Lodge. The transfer will take about two hours. This unique private game reserve is situated in the world renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve, that borders on South Africa's famous Kruger National Park. Savanna Lodge is situated in the southern area of the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. The tented suites combine the romance of a tented roof, with the sophistication of a permanent structure that ensures luxury and privacy. Located on one of the most elevated sites overlooking the Sand River, the camp has spectacular views of the unspoiled wilderness as far as the eye can see.

4 The suites are intimate and romantic with air-conditioning and are tastefully decorated, offering absolute luxury and comfort. Each Suite has a well stocked mini bar and a tea/coffee station. The bathroom has a double wash basin, French bath, shower and separate toilet. Panoramic views of the bush can be enjoyed from the private verandah. From the comfort of the lodge, guests may view some of Africa's impressive wildlife. Guests may enjoy game viewing in comfort from our upstairs Library, or they may browse through our well stocked Curio shop. Wireless broadband internet access is available for guests. A facility is available for transferring of digital photographs to cd's. The lounge and dining room is an impressive building under thatch, which is perfectly positioned with a view of the beautiful swimming pool and a few meters further, the waterhole. The open air boma, also overlooking the floodlit waterhole, creates a warm, friendly atmosphere, where guests may enjoy a traditional African meal under the stars. The boma at Savanna has recently been upgraded and now encompasses a thatched bar and cooking area and state of the art cooking facilities. New specially designed tables and chairs add to the ambiance of a starlit evening around the camp fire. Two of the chalets are family units. The camp facilities include a main area which houses a comfortable lounge area with two sitting areas and a library. The dining room has a large table where, as per safari tradition, everyone dines together to enjoy each other's company and share stories of the day's game sightings. There is also a boma area with camp fire, perfect for warming you up with your coffee before the morning walk, or for enjoying evening drinks around the fire. In addition guests will experience a traditional South African braaivleis cooked over the open fire. The Greater Kruger area can get very hot in summer and thankfully the camp has a beautiful pool with decking area where guests can relax and siesta during the midday heat between game activities. To truly immerse yourself in the rustic bush experience, all chalets are equipped with lanterns while plug points in the main area can be used to charge your camera batteries. Savanna Lodge: Savanna Tented Game Lodge comprises of tented suites, which combine the romance of a tented roof and draped inner ceiling with the sophistication of permanent structures that ensure absolute luxury and privacy for your Sabi Sands accommodation. The en-suite bathrooms feature double wash hand basins, enclosed toilets, showers and Victorian ball and claw baths.

6 Each suite may be converted to accommodate doubles, singles or twins. All of the suites have a well stocked mini bar and air conditioning. Activities Africa on Foot: Each walking safari begins with a comprehensive demonstration on how to behave when encountering animals. All safaris are led by qualified rangers who have had intensive specialized training in approaching dangerous game. In addition to allowing you to view the larger mammals on foot, the rangers will give you an insight into the bush that will surprise you. They will explain the animal tracks and what animals passed through during the night, in addition to the sophistication of termite mounds and other interesting facets of the bush that go unnoticed on game drives. The chance to walk amongst wildlife allows you to fully immerse yourself in African smells and sounds. The main aim of a Kruger Walking Safari is to help you appreciate the nature around you, and to provide you with detailed explanations of spoors, vegetation and the ecology in general. One of the main aims of going on safari is to go on a game drive. The animals are generally habituated to the vehicle. This enables to you to get within 15 to 30 feet of the large animals - and safely! All game drives are conducted in open 4 x 4 Toyota Landcruisers. No roof allows you 360 degree views, perfect for wonderful photographic and video opportunities. The afternoon game drives generally leave at 4pm and stop for sundowners, and then continue into the night drive on your way back to camp. The night drives allow guests the opportunity to see the nocturnal animals not encountered during the day. Your chances of seeing leopard in particular are a lot higher at night and with a bit of luck you might even encounter the predators such as lion and leopard hunting. During the night drives, your tracker uses a powerful spotlight to search for nocturnal animals. Expect to see a wide variety of animals not normally seen during the day, including leopards, hyenas, aardvarks, bat-eared fox, porcupines, bush babies, bushbucks, mongoose, genet cats and nocturnal birds like owls and nightjars. Savanna Lodge: The lodge is excellently positioned in the game-rich Sabi Sand Game Reserve bordering the famous Kruger National park, offering thrilling wildlife related activities at no additional cost. Twice daily game-drives: Experienced rangers and trackers will lead you on morning and afternoon/evening game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. The Sabi Sand Game Reserve and Kruger National Park are some of the finest Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) game destinations in Africa and you have an excellent chance of spotting the elusive leopard. Interpretive bush walks: Explore the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on interpretive wilderness walks led by experienced rangers or expert Shangaan trackers, and learn more about the area s intriguing fauna and flora. Guided bush walks bring you face-to-face with wild
