2 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY The organisers/committee of the Busselton Horse & Pony Club Inc. reserve the right to cancel, alter or combine any event/s they may deem necessary on the day especially if entries do not support a class. This event is run under EWA and SHC rules and regulations. All competitors are to be aware that it is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the individual requirements in regards to gaining points. All entrants must be members with EWA, SHC or PCAWA. Non members can ride with the PCAWA Open Annual Insurance. This is available via the PCAWA website. Proof of insurance will be required. All persons on horseback are required to wear the recognised standards approved helmet and boots, as a condition of entry. Official horses must have a current EWA or SHC height certificate upon request. Rider s age will be as at the day of the event. Junior rider birth certificate copies may be asked for. Official Open classes where the pony may be ridden by a rider 17 years of age or over unless otherwise specified. No exhibit can be shown in both Show Horse and Show Hunter classes. Exhibitor must choose between the two classes. Riders under 18 are not permitted to ride in top boots or gaiters/chappettes in rider classes Ponies/Hacks must be ridden in Championship Events by the rider that qualified them. Handlers for Leading Rein classes must be 18 years and over. Pony is to be led from the back of a cavesson with a lead approximately 1.5m in length and no chain. Any rider that competes in the Leading Rein or First Ridden classes is not eligible to compete in any other classes. The pony may compete in further events with a different rider. Stallions are not permitted in Show Horse classes. Intermediate Horse/pony is not to have been awarded Champion or Reserve Champion at any Gala or Championship Hack Show that has been judged by an International or Eastern States Judge. In addition the horse/pony is not to have been awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd in any hack or hunter event at any Royal Show, Winner or Runner-up at EWA HOY, EWA Intermediate HOY or SHC Horse of the Year. An Intermediate horse/pony is an intermediate horse/pony on the day of competition. Refunds will only be given with a Doctor/Vet certificate The judges decisions are final. Under no circumstances is approaching the judge, judging or coaching from the side of the arena/ring permitted. Failure to abide by this rule will lead to disqualification and forfeit of entry fees. NO DOGS ALLOWED ON GROUNDS. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE THEM. The Busselton Horse & Pony Club Inc. do not accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, illness or injury to horses, owners, riders, spectators or any other person or property whatsoever. Entry to grounds is at your own risk and the Dangerous Activity Acknowledgement form must be signed by all entrants prior to participation; this is a condition of our insurance.

8 Ring 3-LEAD REIN & FIRST RIDDEN RING THIS RING IS RUN UNDER PCAWA RULES. ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE GEAR CHECKED COMMENCING AT 9.30 AM SHARP TO BE HELD IN THE ENCLOSED ARENA This ring is designed for children who are just starting out, or who are nervous and are not capable or ready for an open ring atmosphere. Please make an honest judgement on your child s capabilities. All riders must wear approved safety helmets and boots. Snaffle bits only. Handlers must be 18 yrs and over First Ridden riders will be asked to walk and trot on the ring. Canter may be asked for in a workout; however riders who are not confident DO NOT have to canter. They will not be penalised in any way. Dress standard- Hacking jackets, Pony Club uniform or long sleeved shirt, tie, & light coloured jodhpurs. Plaiting is optional.
