11 Membership Reminder As you know safety on our range is paramount. In addition to safe gun handling, there are two issues that need to be reviewed and reinforced: There has been a major improvement to our access road, from just past the entrance all the way to the pistol shed. This smooth road has eliminated the natural speed bumps and makes it easy to forget that our SPEED LIMIT IS 15 MPH!!!!!! For your safety and that of fellow members PLEASE abide by this speed limit. As you know, it is illegal to drink and drive. It is also against our range rules to possess or consume alcohol on the premises. This is a major safety violation and is grounds for immediate revocation of your membership. You may also lose your membership if any guest for whom you are responsible consumes alcohol. If you observe any alcohol consumption on the range, please notify our grounds keeper or any board member. Let s be safe and have a great year of shooting at WCFW Trap Fun Shoot s April 29th, July 29th, September 30th 2018 New shooters are welcome!!! We will have a fun day of Trap Shooting including all types of games for beginners as well as advanced trap shooters. 10:00-3:00 Lunch will be available in the club house
12 PO Box 730 Eaton, CO ABOUT THE HIGH PLAINS SHOOTING RANGE This organization of sportsmen and sportswomen was founded as a non-profit conservation club over forty years ago. The association is still heavily involved in conservation issues, but has expanded its involvement into education and promotion of the shooting sports. The association owns a 123 acre range facility eight miles east and one mile south of Ault, Colorado. Organized activities include bench rest, high power, and black powder rifle events; trap, skeet, and sporting clays events; IPSC, ICORE, Action Pistol handgun events; archery and Junior Shooting programs. We are fortunate to have several NRA Certified Instructors to teach classes in rifle, handgun, and shotgun safety. The range opens at 7:30AM on weekdays and 8:00AM on weekends, closing at sunset. Club meetings are on the second Thursday of each month. During the December meeting elections of board members and club officers is held. Club meetings start at 7:00 PM and are open to all members.
