8 North Bristol Sportsman s Club 8 Badger Honor Flight The Honor Flight Fund Raiser was a success. The Club, with a few members tossing in last minute contributions, raised an even $ 10, dollars for the cause. That is above the mark of what we hoped to raise. A big tip of the hat to the Club Members and Volunteers for the time, effort and ideas to make this work. Special thanks to our friends at the local VFW and Legion for their financial, prize and volunteer support to add to the success of the event. We had many Vets attend the event, including a bunch that are members of the club. We also want to recognize our many business Sponsors, individual donors for financial contributions and Large and Small prizes to make the Raffle Ticket and Bucket Raffles a success. The event included a 50 Bird individual Trap Competition, Five Stand event, Make-a-Break event that created friendly competition, A Long Bird Challenge, a Rabbit Challenge and a chance to experience Rimfire Challenge against the clock. We also had Archery available, and..22 Rifles to shoot the Bad Guys on the Pistol Range. The rifle range had some gongs set up at 200 Yards to test your Rifle ability too. This was the First Annual Event, and we hope the Club and you as members are up to pulling off the second. Our efforts will go a long way towards sending our Veterans on a Trip and memory of a life time for them and their families. Thanks to all that participated, donated, helped and supported the effort.

10 North Bristol Sportsman s Club 10 Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School (CHUMs) Natural Resources and Ag Sciences Cardinal Heights Upper Middle School (CHUMs) Natural Resources and Ag Sciences class returned for 6th time on a Field Trip to the Club. Almost 140 Students and another 30 parents, teachers and others were hosted by the Club, with the help of a bunch of Club members and volunteers from other Clubs and organizations, including Hunters Ed instructors from the area, we had another successful event. With all the help and participants, we filled the house. About 103 Students completed their field test, and earned their Hunters Ed Certificate, which with limited time, took an awesome effort by over a dozen HE instructors. The students got to shoot trap, learn from the Trappers association how to skin furbearers, shoot.22 rifles, along with archery, tree stand safety, pheasant hunt with dogs and other displays. Lunch was again a highlight, featuring the wild game feed. Provided by many members and friends donating wild game, and Chef Tommy and his expert Dale, preparing and cooking all that food. This event is only possible because of the commitment of the Club and the members to youth education and the future of conservation and the hunting legacy. NBSC should take pride in the ability of the members to work together on this and many other projects that we undertake. Our club has a noticeable place in the shooting and hunting sports in our state, and the commitment we are making in developing the next generation of participants is inspiring. As a board member and being the contact between the School and the Club for this event, I am awed by how many of our members and HE instructors come through on the day of the event to pull it off. It would be impossible to thank all the individuals that helped without missing a few key people. So, with great appreciation and thanks to those that helped. Thank you. A special thanks to those that helped for each and every one of the 6 events so far. Many of you are involved in much more than the day of the event in planning and coordination. The club and our members make a huge positive impression on these students and hopefully are creating the future Conservationist and outdoorsman that we all wish we could be. There is no way I can adequately thank, acknowledge and show the appreciation I feel for all of the people that make this event so successful, and the School, teachers and students for showing up to make it an event. Thanks a bunch for all the help and support to this important event at the Club. See you all soon, Kevyn Quamme

12 North Bristol Sportsman s Club 12 R3 R a n d o m R a n g e R a n t s Holy Great Pumpkin Batman, someone stole October!!! Seems like Fall is over already, and October was only a few days long. But looking back, October was a big month, especially at the club. We did a lot of good things this month, and had some fun doing it. Leagues are wrapping up, the open shooting has been busy. We did another successful year of hosting the CHUMs middle school event. The club created a successful fund raiser for Badger Honor Flight. Thanks to all our friends and sponsors that donated, and to the members that participated and helped out. Hunting season is well under way, and we can help with our Hunters Sight-In event again this year. One of the best things we do is help others learn about firearms and all that goes with it. Between CHUMs, where we field tested 103 Hunters Ed students, and the following week we certified another 26, and a week after that, during the Honor Flight fund raiser, we introduced many rookie, and new shooters to Rimfire Challenge, 5 Stand, Make a Break and Rabbit Shoot, and a rimfire, get the bad guy shoot out. Between those events and open shooting on the weekends, and young SCTP shooters joining the Skeet league, our club really makes a difference in a lot of new shooters experiences. Let s continue that Legacy, after all, isn t that what the Club is supposed to do?? Make sure you take the time to come to the club and shoot, hang out, participate and have fun. With the Holiday s coming up, make an excuse to bring someone out to shoot, give a membership to someone who should have one, and sponsor some shooting time for your friends and family. Range time rounds of trap or 5 stand,or spend some time shooting. Plan an extra hunting trip this season or add a day or two to your time in the woods. Don t forget, the club is open all year, if it s not a blizzard. Toughen up and come on out this Winter. We have what you need to stay warm. Keep Smiling, have a Fun Safe and successful Hunting Season. Take a Kid or Newbie with you this year. Shoot straight and be Safe See you at the Club
