3 TOURNAMENT 2015 Team Elimination 1. Compound 2. Recurve 3. Traditional **A team must have 3 Archers and can be mixed both men and women. Only top 8 teams of each category can compete in eliminations round.** DISTANCE AND TARGET All Classes will compete in the same distance, 18 Meters. Open Compound, Open Recurve, Disability, University and Under 18 years old use 40cm vertical triple target face Traditional use 40cm single target face Under 12 years old use 60cm single target face SHOOTING FORMAT Qualification Round : 10 Ends of 3 arrows (2 minutes per end) Team Elimination Round : Recurve and Traditional use set point system, best of 5 sets. Compound use cumulative scoring of 4 ends (240 points), each set of 6 arrows (2 minutes per end) Individual Elimination Round : Recurve and Traditional use set point system, best of 5 sets. Compound use cumulative scoring of 5 ends (150 points), each set of 3 arrows (2 minutes per end) Medal Match : Alternate shooting, best of 5 sets, each set of 3 arrows (20 seconds per arrow) RULES For all recurve and compound classes will apply World Archery s indoor target archery rule. For traditional class, please refer to TOAC rules. (see additional documents) REGISTRATION Entry Fee Open Classes : 1,000 Baht University, Under 18, and Under 12 years old : 800 Baht
4 TOURNAMENT 2014 Payment Must pay in Thai Baht, Credit card and Travelling cheque will not be accepted. Payment can be made on the competition day. Closing Date The deadline for registration is July 12, 2015 Late registration will be charged additional 200 Baht per archer. ACCOMMODATION The official Hotel is Synsiri Resort. We are happy to arrange a booking for you. The room rate is 1,000 Baht per room for one night (only single bed room available), with free shuttle bus service between hotel and fashion island on both competition days. Payment must be made upon arrival at hotel in Thai Baht. Please make your booking at earliest as possible the hotel is limited number of rooms. TRANSPORTATION We do not provide transportation service from/to airport. The best way we recommended is to take Taxi, as it is the cheapest way to travelling. But we are happy to assist if you have difficulty. Please note that additional actual cost will be charged upon request. 7 TOURNAMENT 2015 TOAC Traditional Shooting Rules 1. There shall be no distinction between the different configurations of bow designs or of materials used Recurve One Piece or Takedown, Longbow, Kyodo, Turkish Bow, Mongolian, Horse Bow, etc. The bow shall be constructed of Wood, Horn or Modern materials such as Carbon, Glass Fibre, Aluminium, or Handmade Self Bow, etc. A bow of any type provided it subscribes to the accepted principle and meaning of the bow used in target archery (no shoot through styles are permitted), and two flexible limbs each ending in a tip with a string nock. 2. Bow sight, lip (Kisser) or nose mark is not permitted. Bows, arrows, string and accessories shall be free from sight mark(s), blemishes and/or laminations which could be used to help aiming. The serving on the string must not end within the athlete s vision at full draw. The bowstring must not in any way assist aiming through the use of a peephole, marking, or any other means. Maximum two nocking point locators shall be allowed on the string, for locate the arrow nocking point. To assist aiming is not permitted. 3. Plunger / Pressure button / Cushion plunger, Draw check device (Clicker), Over Draw, Leveling cannot be used. 4. Finger protection in the form of finger stalls or tips, Shooting tab with no an Anchor plate / Ledge / Similar device attached to the Finger protection (Tab) for the purpose of anchoring, Gloves, or Tape (plaster) to draw, hold back and release the string is permitted. Any type of Mechanical release cannot be used. 5. The bow must be shot using the "Mediterranean" loose (with one finger above and two fingers below the arrow), or "Three Fingers Under" loose (three fingers directly below the arrow nock), or Thumb Ring (a ring or leather over the thumb to protect the pad of the thumb from the bowstring). With one shooting finger no more than 1 cm to the nock. Allowed only one fixed Anchor point. Archer must choose only one shooting style. 6. String and face walking are not permitted. 7. Either a simple glued piece of Leather, sunk in Felt, or Foam Rubber arrow rest can be used. No limit for thickness, but the vertical standing piece should not exceed 4 cm, or no arrow rest is used. 8. No Stabilizer, Extension, Shock absorber (Damper), or Weights are permitted. The weighted bow from the manufacturer which cannot be removed is not allowed. A bow quiver cannot be attached to the bow. 9. String silencers no closer than 30 cm above or below the nocking point are allowed.
