Originally a Gothic fortress was rebuilt to current elegant chateau by the Austria s Archduke Franz Ferdinand D Este, the heir of Austrian-Hungarian throne murdered in Sarajevo just before the beginning of the World War I. Completed in Inside the castle you will admire the Chapel of the Holy Cross decorated with the pictures of Master Theodoric, considered the biggest preserved collection of Middle Age.
