(hereafter GTGC) is an IRC 501-(c)(7) corporation, chartered in the State of Texas, and dedicated to the use and promotion of safe Firearms Shooting Activities for its membership and, whenever possible, the General Public. GTGC BOARD OF DIRECTORS: President Vice President Secretary-Treasurer Directors at Large (3) Match Directors and Assistant Match Directors (varies) For member names, refer to attached GTGC Board of Directors List CLUB PHYSICAL ADDRESS: 7546 ERIE STREET Beaumont, TX CLUB MAILING ADDRESS: PO. 2 OPERATIONS MANAGED BY: Corporate Direction: GTGC Board of Directors General Operation: GTGC President and Secretary-Treasurer Daily Range Operations and Safety Activities: GTGC Chief Range Safety Officers: Walter Haley, CRSO Dave Powell, CRSO Marion Mayer, CRSO Tommy Cruse, Jr., CRSO GTGC Range Safety Officers: Refer to attached RSO Roster All GTGC Members have the responsibility and authority to insure a safe and lawful operation of the GTGC. SAFETY PERSONNEL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS: Each Chief Range Safety Officer (CRSO) & Range Safety Officer (RSO) must successfully complete National Rifle Association training courses and be Certified by the National Rifle Association as Chief Range Safety Officer or Range Safety Officer. CRSO & RSO personnel will maintain NRA Certification as required by the National Rifle Association. GTGC CRSO & RSO will be certified, designated, and given the authority of their office by direction of the GTGC Board of Directors. CRSO & RSO will: serve in the capacity of GTGC Operations and Safety Personnel; enforce the published GTGC SOP; act as necessary to provide for the safe operation of the GTGC; and insure the protection of persons and property on the GTGC. 3 GENERAL CLUB RULES 1. All members must display their GTGC membership card in open view while at the range, either on their person or attached to their shooting gear. 2. Any member who gives the gate combination to persons other than club members in good standing shall immediately lose his/her membership with NO chance of reinstatement. Any member found guilty of willfully damaging or stealing club property shall immediately lose his/her membership and be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. 3. Any dependent in a club member s immediate family may accompany the club member to the range at any time. This Family Guest must be under the member s supervision at all times and the member will be responsible for his Guest s actions. 4. A member may take one non-family member guest to the range for a maximum of three (3) times only. After the third visit to the range, this guest is requested to join the Club. This guest must be under the member s supervision at all times and the member will be responsible for his actions. 5. At no time will trash shooting be permitted anywhere on the range. This includes tin cans, glass containers, ammo boxes, etc., and/or other types of trash. 6. Do not use standard target frames for patterning shotguns. Use specified marked area and shotgun target frames only. 7. Unserviceable target frames should be removed from the target house and placed on the ground adjacent to that target house. 8. All trash should be put in trash receptacles provided, or taken home. It is the duty of every member to help keep the range facilities clean. 9. Only one (1) target frame per shooter if range is crowded (50% of shooting benches being used). 10. Physical or verbal abuse of persons or destruction of club property will not be tolerated. Discourteous acts will not be allowed. All members and guests must use common sense, courtesy and safety. It is the duty of each member to call these rules to the attention of any violator and to ask that he/she abide by these rules and regulations. Be courteous - not abusive. If the violator continues Page 3 of 15
4 to disregard the rules, call this to the attention of the members present and inform the club President of the name(s) of the violator(s) and all witnesses. Abusive behavior will not be tolerated by anyone. 11. The firing of handheld or shoulder fired firearms is permitted on the appropriate ranges. Fixtures such as the Ransom Rest and Free Recoil Benchrest Rifles are also allowed. 12. The firing of any type of Tracer, Armor Piercing, Incendiary, or Explosive Projectile is prohibited. 13. The use of pyrotechnics and fireworks is prohibited on GTGC property. This prohibition includes Targets which explode upon bullet impact. 14. FIRING OF ANY FIREARM CAPABLE OF FULL AUTOMATIC FIRE IS NOT PERMITTED. The use of any device that imitates full auto firing of rifles or pistols, such as burst fire, bump fire, bi-directional triggers, hellfire triggers, etc., is not permitted. Also, any technique that simulates automatic fire is not permitted. Firearm Exception: Under the supervision of a GTGC Chief RSO, a military group, such as the United States Coast Guard, may shoot rifles capable of full automatic fire provided that they are only fired in the semi-automatic mode during official training/qualification sessions. 15. Firing the 50 BMG, or any cartridge based on the 50 BMG cartridge case, is prohibited. 16. LTC Open Carry by LTC holders is allowed, but may be restricted by Match Competitions Rules during authorized Matches. 17. Hunting and Trapping on GTGC Property is by GTGC BOD written Permit only, signed by the current President. RANGE SAFETY RULES Safety is paramount at all times for all persons visiting the range. GTGC Members, GTGC Member Guests, and Non-GTGC Member Match Competitors are to observe the following rules: 1. GTGC Range Safety Officers. GTGC Members, Guests of GTGC Members and Non-GTGC Members participating in GTGC Scheduled Page 4 of 15
5 Competitions must obey all commands issued by the GTGC Range Safety Officers. Failure to obey the GTGC Range Safety Officer instructions will result in punitive action being taken against the violator. Punitive Actions may be, but not limited to: Immediate ejection from the GTGC property; Loss of GTGC Membership; and in the case of danger to persons or property, subject to emergency response by Law Enforcement Personnel. 2. READ and OBEY all POSTED RANGE RULES. The POSTED RANGE RULES are specific to the range on which they are POSTED. 3. THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED BY ANYONE ON THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE GUN CLUB PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. 4. The possession and/or use of illegal drugs is prohibited at all times, and if suspected will be reported to the local police. Members are warned that some prescription and over-the-counter drugs can produce diminished capacity, both physically and mentally, and if an RSO believes that someone is impaired, for any reason, the RSO is empowered to ask the individual to stop shooting and leave the club until the effects of the medication have worn off. 5. Smoking is prohibited on or within 20 feet of any firing line at any time. This includes any form of tobacco or other substance including cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, pipes, etc. 6. DEFINITION - LOADED FIREARM: All firearms are considered LOADED if any of the following are true; if a cartridge is within any part of the firearm; if a clip or magazine is inserted into the firearm; or if the ACTION is CLOSED WHETHER OR NOT ANY AMMUNITION IS IN IT. 7. Do not transport a LOADED firearm TO or FROM your vehicle to the firing line! 8. All firearms must be unloaded, ACTIONS OPEN (slides back and bolts or cylinders open), except when firing from the firing line. All firearms on the firing line must have the muzzle pointed downrange. No person is permitted downrange until all shooters on the firing line have made their firearms safe by unloading and leaving actions open. DO NOT HANDLE ANY FIREARMS WHILE PEOPLE ARE DOWNRANGE. 6 9. Ammunition and magazines may be handled BEHIND the firing line, while people are downrange. Remember that people MAY NOT approach the firing line to retrieve magazines or ammunition while people are downrange. 10. Pellet and BB Rifles and Pistols, for the purpose of GTGC Safety, are considered to be FIREARMS and are subject to the same rules. 11. Targets must be placed so that: when shooting paper targets all projectiles die harmlessly in the impact berm; when shooting metal targets, all metal targets must be placed so that the deflected projectile does not present a hazard to persons or property. NO CROSS FIRING! - Shoot the target directly in front of you! 12. All firing must be done from a designated firing line for each range. NEVER fire from either in front of, or behind, a designated firing line. 13. All Golden Triangle Gun Club rules and NRA safety rules and procedures must be obeyed at all times. 14. Vehicle speeds within the Club boundaries must not exceed 10 MPH. 15. Do not climb on or dig into the impact or side safety berms at any time. RULES for GTGC ORGANIZED MATCHES CONDUCTED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A MATCH DIRECTOR/GTGC RANGE SAFETY OFFICER 1. Direct Supervision by a Match Director/GTGC Range Safety Officer will allow for deviation from the General Club Rules and/or the Range Safety Rules. 2. Match Directors/GTGC Range Safety Officers will follow the competition guidelines set forth by the sanctioning organization. 3. At no time will any deviation from the General Club Rules and/or the Range Safety Rules compromise the safety of the match competitors or spectators! Page 6 of 15
7 911 Information In an emergency, Remain Calm. Call 911 and tell the Emergency Operator your location is: The Golden Triangle Gun Club, 7546 Erie Street, Beaumont. The entrance is located 2 miles south of Cardinal Drive with a large yellow sign at the entrance. You must have someone meet emergency personnel at the gate to let them in and direct them to the location of the emergency. Render first aid, if you can. As soon as possible, call the Club President at and provide information regarding the emergency. Page 7 of 15
8 Safety & Health Rules Which Apply to All Ranges 1. ALWAYS keep your firearm pointed in a safe direction, usually downrange. 2. ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. 3. ALWAYS keep your firearm unloaded, with the action open, until ready to use. 4. NEVER handle firearms while people are downrange. 5. Eye and hearing protection is required for everyone. 6. Obey all instructions from Range Safety Officers and Match Directors. 7. Discourteous acts, abusive language, and unsafe actions will not be tolerated. 8. Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited at all times. 9. Per NRA recommendations, it is suggested that eating and drinking not be done on the firing line to avoid the possible ingestion of airborne particulate lead or other dangerous substances. 10. As a courtesy to others, and to parallel NRA and CMP match rules, smoking is prohibited on or within 20 feet of any firing line at any time. 11. Shoot only at authorized targets, from approved firing lines specific details are listed at each range. 12. Grass mowing personnel have priority cease fire and wait for them to finish. Page 8 of 15

THERE ARE NO TARGET FRAME PIPES ON THIS RANGE! RULES for GTGC ORGANIZED MATCHES CONDUCTED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A MATCH DIRECTOR/GTGC RANGE SAFETY OFFICER 1. Direct Supervision by a Match Director/GTGC Range Safety Officer will allow for deviation from the General Club Rules and/or the Range Safety Rules. 2. Match Directors/GTGC Range Safety Officers will follow the competition guidelines set forth by the sanctioning organization. 3. 11 GENERAL RULES 50-YARD RANGE 1. Always follow the Firing Line Safety Rules. 2. Obey all instructions from Range Safety Officers and Match Directors. 3. All shooting shall be done from the one firing line no shooting in front of, or behind, this line for any reason at any time. 4. Only Handguns and Rimfire Rifles are permitted. No Centerfire Rifles. 5. Armor piercing and tracer ammunition, and automatic fire, are prohibited. 6. Shoot only at approved targets, which on this range are as follows: a) Paper or cardboard targets mounted on club target stands, placed at 3, 7, 15, 25 or 50 yards. No cans, bottles, clay targets, etc. are permitted. b) Personal target stands made from wood or PVC may be used and must be placed between 3 and 50 yards downrange. c) Metal swingers may be used as targets but must be placed no closer to the firing line than 50 yards for safety reasons (bullet splatter and ricochets). 7. All rounds fired must come to rest in the impact berm. 8. As a courtesy to others, and to parallel NRA and CMP match rules, smoking is prohibited on or within 20 feet of the firing line at any time. 9. Do not put live rounds in the trash cans. The trash is burned and live rounds will explode, possibly causing severe personal injury. 10. Please pick up all empty brass (even if it isn t yours!), and place all trash in trash cans. 13 600-YARD RANGE RULES This is a mid-range rifle range for use by any club member. For the safety of club members and other people, who may or may not be on range property, certain rules must be observed. If you do not understand these rules, ask one of the Match Directors or Range Safety Officers for help. The 100-yard rifle range is a better choice for most shooters. Safety First, Last, and Always! 14 SHOTGUN RANGE RULES 1. Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction, usually downrange. 2. Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. 3. Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use. 4. Never handle firearms while people are downrange. 5. Obey all instructions from Range Safety Officers and Match Directors. 6. Only shotguns may be shot at this range no rifles, no handguns. There are no impact berms on this range to stop bullets or slugs. 7. Buckshot, sabots, slugs, and shot larger than #6 are prohibited due to the distance they may carry. 8. Shoot only at approved targets, which on this range are as follows: a. Clay targets b. Approved patterning target 9. Shoot only in the proper direction, from designated shooting stations not toward the rifle ranges or toward the roads. Erie Street is only about 400 feet away. See diagram below. 10. Shooting at hand-thrown clay targets is approved as long as all other safety rules are obeyed, especially Rule Number Eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited on or near any firing station at any time. 12. Pick up all empty hulls and other trash and place in trash cans. Help keep your club clean! Safety First, Last, and Always! 15 ACTION RANGE PISTOLS, RIFLES, AND SHOTGUNS ALLOWED ON THIS RANGE For Safety Reasons, NO Rifle Calibers greater than 8MM (.32 caliber) may be fired on the Action Range. o Black Powder Rifles of any caliber, including those converted to smokeless powder, may be fired on the Action Range Side Berms are NO SHOOT Protection Berms! No shots may be fired from under the shelter cover All shots fired MUST BE within 50 yards of the Impact Berm GENERAL RULES Metal Swingers may only be placed at the base of the Impact Berm. o Minimum distance between the shooter and the metal target is 25 yards! o All shots fired at metal targets must be fired in a manner to avoid the possibility of ricochets. Club supplied target frames may only be placed in the target frame pipes as supplied by the club. Portable target frame holders may be placed at any position that: o Is within 25 yards of the Impact Berm o Insures that all rounds fired will die in the Impact Berm Pick up, and properly dispose of, all fired cartridge cases and shot shell hulls RULES for GTGC ORGANIZED MATCHES CONDUCTED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A MATCH DIRECTOR/GTGC RANGE SAFETY OFFICER 1.
