1 LOH Outfitters Application Form and Hunt Contract Applicants will be charged for a hunting license, habitat stamp ($74), & a game permit which is required to apply and hunt in New Mexico. The NMDGF charges your credit card the full license fee up front. If unsuccessful in the draw, NMDGF will refund all but a $89.00 application fee. This contract may be used for 3 consecutive years from date of contract. Go to wildlife.state.nm.us and create an account. Fill out your personal info but let us take care of the rest. We will enter you in the draw under our outfitter number to increase your chances at a successful draw. 2 LOH Outfitters New Mexico 2019 ELK Hunts We apply for you, under our outfitter # to increase your chance at a successful draw! We also have a limited amount of landowner tags to guarantee you a hunt. If you re interested in a LANDOWNER TAG, reserve NOW as they usually are gone when the draw results come out. Please fill out a contract and send it with a $750 deposit check to reserve your hunt. The NM Game & Fish offers a limited amount of Quality tags in designated units. We hunt only the best units for high success on trophy caliber bulls. Applicants can mix dates, units, and weapon choices to better their odds. Muzzleloader hunts have a better chance of drawing than rifle. The NM draw is a pure lottery, there are no preference points. Our hunts feature 1 on 1 professional guides in units 13,15,16 s,17, 34, & 36. These units are well known to have some of the biggest bulls, & best Elk hunting in the World. Friends or family booking together may opt for 2 on 1 guided hunts for $5,749. Provide your credit card info on the LOH Contract. Your card will be charged a $65.00 hunting license, a $9 habitat stamp, & the permit fee (per species) which is required to apply for the draw and hunt in New Mexico. The NM Game & Fish charges the full license fee up front for all species. If unsuccessful in the draw, they refund the permit minus a $13.00 application fee. These fees are not included in the hunt cost listed below. 4 APPLICATION DIRECTIONS In order to hunt with LOH Outfitters, you'll need to: Checklist: X go to wildlife.state.nm.us and create a new account or recover your current one if you ve already hunted New Mexico. Create a username and password, no spaces. Their system is case & space sensitive, if you don't record it exactly as it appears with legible handwriting, I won't be able to log you in! See my example. Example: NAME AND BIRTHDATE (KEEP IT EASY) NMDGF Username or CIN: JERRYBLAKE1983 Password: ELKHUNTER1983! Make sure all your personal information, and your is correct, to receive receipts, and your draw results. Transfer your username and password onto the LOH Contract exactly as it appears on your New Mexico account. Fill out your credit card info on the LOH Contract for the NM Game & Fish. Print, sign your name and date, then send the contract and a $750 check to LOH OUTFITTERS 3373 Martin Rd. 5 ABOUT OUR HUNTS Elk Hunts- we operate in southern NM in units 10, 12, 13, 15, 16 s, 17, 34, & 36 which are known to hold some of the biggest trophy caliber bulls of the western states. Our goal is to kill mature bulls scoring 330 or better, but ultimately what makes you happy. Units 13, 15, & 17 are bow & muzzleloader only, allowing more bulls to grow to maturity. Scopes & inline muzzleloaders are allowed. Units 16E, & 10 have a much better chance of drawing a tag. Archery - September 1-14 (early rut) & (peak rut) (5-7) day hunts with the option to add days September 1-7 is generally pre-rut with warmer days, spot and stalk, hunting water sources and in between bedding grounds is very effective. Advantages of being the first hunters of the year and hunting mature bulls that aren't cow'd up. September 7-14 the rut is kicking off and the bulls are starting to come alive! September 15 - Oct 14 is known to be the peak of the rut. Average shot yards but please practice out to 70 and as far as you can, it will dramatically help your game. Crossbow (allowed with a doctor s note approved by NMDGF) *YOUTH SPECIAL: Peak Rut Hunt - early October (5) days One of the best experiences for hunting bugling bulls with tons of action! *MOBILITY IMPAIRED - early October Rut (5) days (need to send in doctors note before draw) Probably the best experience for hunting bugling bulls with tons of action! Muzzleloader only units - October - November (5) day hunt, units 13, 15, & 17 generally the tail end of the rut. November hunting Bachelor bulls. Average shot yards Late November Bachelor Bulls Hunt - A great opportunity at glassing a giant bull in a bachelor herd after the rut! (Requires hunter to be in good physical condition to access the high country). Please notify me if your interested and capable of this high demand hunt! Rifle - October - November (5) day hunt, unit 16 generally the tail end of the rut. November hunting Bachelor bulls. Meals & Lodging included - we offer ranch house or lodge hunts, archery canvas wall tent hunts under the stars with a camp fire setting, or an *upgrade to a 5-star fancy lodge or B&B with fine dining & amenities, all depending on the experience you re looking for, and where we ve located the best game! If you have a preference please specify. Style of hunting units 13, 15, 16, & 17 we use 4-wheel drive vehicles, and Polaris rangers to navigate to different hunting locations. Depending on what phase the elk are in and the style of hunting you prefer, we hunt water sources with blinds or tree stands (very effective), in between bedding areas, spot & stalk, and sneaking in on big bugling bulls during the rut! We have been scouting bulls throughout the entire season and are prepared to adapt to the best means of killing big bulls! This is our Lifeblood, our Passion, and we do it for the Love Of the Hunt.
