We at Krieghoff live this passion and believe in everything which goes with it. As gunmakers who hunt, we offer the hunter a gun which is not only built sound, but also reflects practical experience. The art of gunmaking is a craft which has more than 110 years tradition with Krieghoff. Of course, we use modern computerized machining today and we introduce innovations in our gun designs. But to us this is just a continuation of the tradition. Asingle shot mountain rifle has always been a very special gun. It stands for beauty and excellent handling characteristics. To use one in the field often creates moments of unforgettable memories. Therefore, we have named our rifle after the hunting patron St. Hubertus. We hope it may be your favorite hunting companion on game like red stag or Chamois. Surely, a single shot rifle is not suitable for every hunting situation. But nevertheless, we have included with the Krieghoff Hubertus all the features that we at Krieghoff believe makes a Universal Hunting Gun. It is a true Krieghoff with the utmost emphases on safety and practical use. The Krieghoff Hubertus - the single shot rifle everybody needs. ghoff s Gun of the Year in This unique Krieghoff Hubertus with sideplates is a brilliant rifle, the product of modern, innovative firearms design and manufacture that is embellished and finished to the highest standards of the gunmaker s art. It features a 60cm (23.5 ) octagonal barrel, hand filed contoured receiver and fences, and a beautiful nitrite coin finish. The buttstock and forearm are made by hand of the finest exhibition grade Turkish walnut, and rosewood caps decorate both the pistol grip and forearm tip. The stock has a Bavarian cheekpiece with double shadow line and an Old English Decelerator recoil pad. The wood is finished in lustrous hand rubbed oil. Master engraver Gregor Stoegner created a one-ofa-kind alpine hunting scene in deep relief. The left side of the receiver shows the vivid image of does watching the dominant red stag chasing a rival out of his territory. The scene on the right side is of eight chamois in the snowy mountains. The bottom shows a hunter coming down steep rocks to reach his chamois. All figures are framed by fine English Arabesques and leaves. These elegant images are drawn together and complemented by the addition of a pierced top lever and intricate stock carving. 2 3

Buttstock and forearm are made by hand and feature Exhibition Grade Turkish walnut, Bavarian cheekpiece with double shadow line, rose wood caps at pistol grip and forearm, handrubbed finish, and Old English Decelerator recoil pad. Custom engraving with a deep relief game scene in the oval is framed by an artistic pattern of leaf and English scroll engraving. This is the central focus point of our philosophy. A concept which is clearly and without compromises directed to achieve our goal: Maximize the practicality in field use. The technical features of the Krieghoff Hubertus are - with the exception of the single hammer design - identical with our twin hammer models Plus, Ultra and Classic. This includes the manual cocking feature. In the opinion of many experts, these guns have set new standards in safety and practical use. The concept of a universal gun becomes especially true with a single shot rifle. Concentrate on the essentials and each feature will enhance the practical use. 2. The Ultimate Safety The Krieghoff patented Kickspanner provides the ultimate in safety combined with the utmost of practical use. the top tang in the position usually occupied by a conventional safety. If the opportunity passes and you do not fire the rifle, simply un-cock the hammer by pushing the Kickspanner all the way forward to disengage it and then sliding it to the rear, uncocked, safe position. In addition, an automatic hammer safety insures that the gun will not fire unless it is completely closed. You carry the Krieghoff Hubertus single shot rifle uncocked. When you are ready to fire, you cock the rifle with a single, smooth movement of the quiet, reliable cocking device, the Kickspanner, which is located on Furthermore, an optional set (hair) trigger release is available which automatically disengages the set trigger when the gun is being un-cocked. A heavy trigger in any gun can impair both speed and accuracy in getting off the shot, but the patented Krieghoff system provides a clean and crisp trigger pull - best suited for various hunting situations. The trigger is factory adjusted to grams ( lbs.). It is light enough to be crisp and smooth for maximum trigger control but heavy enough to prevent an accidental discharge at the inadvertent touch of a finger. This is especially important in harsh weather conditions when you may lose some feeling in your fingers. A hair trigger feature with fine adjustment is standard on the Hubertus and can be activated (set) under controlled circumstances. It provides the perfect tool for long distance shooting where maximum control and accuracy are essential. The sum of these features makes the Universal-Trigger-System not a low cost option, but a technically advanced and superior solution. It is the perfect trigger to lead to the concept of a universal hunting gun. The Combi-Cocking-Device The perfect combination of the safety advantage of manual cocking with the speed advantage of a selfcocking gun. With most manual cocking devices, the gun must be recocked each time it is reloaded, which could cost critical seconds in many hunting situations. Krieghoff s combi-cocking is the perfect combination of the safety advantage of manual cocking with the speed advantage of self-cocking. When the Krieghoff Hubertus is fired and the Kickspanner is left in the forward position, the rifle is cocked automatically when it is opened and reloaded and is immediately ready to fire again. With the cocking device in the rearward, uncocked position, the gun is uncocked and remains uncocked regardless of opening and closing. The combi cocking feature of the Krieghoff Hubertus gives it an important practical advantage by maximizing both the safety and the speed of the second shot in a single shot rifle. 4 5

The single cocking rod of the innovative Combi-Cocking- Device is located centrally between the slotted underlugs and operates with a particularly low level of friction. Express style quarter rib, specially designed for pivot bridge mounts. Completely silver soldered for optimal strength. Short and compact to enhance the accuracy of the rifle. Magnum calibers, which are available as an option, come only with steel actions. Action and trigger are nickel plated to provide a durable, protective finish. Standard barrel length is 60cm (23.5 ). An optional short barrel - 55cm (21.5 ) - is also available. Buttstock and Schnabel forends are made from fine European walnut and have hand-cut checkering. Stocks include a Bavarian cheekpiece. Also available at no extra charge is a right handed buttstock with the Monte Carlo cheekpiece. A rifle for true practical use. Two features in particular reflect the superiority of the Krieghoff Hubertus. The Krieghoff innovations of the Universal-Trigger-System and the Combi-Cocking-Device. The Universal-Trigger-System offers the right trigger for every hunting situation. Crisp and smooth for maximum trigger control. A hair trigger feature which is standard with the Krieghoff Hubertus can be activated (set) for minimal trigger pull which may be advantageous for long, precise shooting under controlled circumstances. The Combi-Cocking-Device combines the speed advantage of a self-cocking rifle with the safety advantage of manual cocking. The great advantage of the Combi-Cocking- Device is that the cocking feature stays in the forward position after the rifle has been fired, and the rifle will be automatically recocked on opening when it is being reloaded. Therewith, the gun weight and stability of the barrel which affects accuracy, is being matched to the caliber. You do not carry more weight in the smaller calibers than necessary, but reversely have enough mass in the larger calibers to reduce recoil. You can choose between Dural (aluminum) or steel receiver in the standard calibers. A steel receiver configuration provides choices for different finishes. In addition to the standard nickel finish, other options are blued, case color, or nitrite finishes. Due to its classic, elegant grey color, the nitrite finish enhances high grade engravings particularly well and simultaneously provides an excellent corrosion protection. The Krieghoff Hubertus in the optional magnum calibers 7mm Remington Magnum and.300 Winchester Magnum is available with steel receiver only. Krieghoff Hubertus with Dural receiver and option package Small Arabesques. Accuracy combined with elegant lines are important attributes for a single shot rifle. A short Express style rib supports such requirements. It allows for a solid and strong pivot bridge mount, but maintains the classic lines of the rifle. All parts of the rib including the sights are made from steel. All critical solderings are done with silver solder to withstand very heavy use. A strong rib is an essential base for a reliable and solid scope mount. The Krieghoff Hubertus with octagonal barrel. New is the octagonal barrel as an option for the Krieghoff Hubertus which further enhances the classic, elegant lines of the rifle. Special features are the hand polished, fine transition into the octagonal section of the barrel, the swivel base as an integral part of the barrel and the Express style rib which together with the front sight ramp match well with the overall look of the barrel. We recommend Dural for smaller calibers and steel receivers in the larger calibers to have the higher gun weight offset heavier recoil. By choosing Dural or steel for the receiver and round or octagonal barrels you can optimize the weight to your liking. And this can be done without the use of heavy recoil reducers. Our optional BreaKO reducer weighs only 360g (.8 lbs) and does not adversly change the balance of the rifle.
