Over that year we have grown again in that we have added more satisfied customers to our client list. To help improve our return time we ve added an additional eight wet processing drums and two more wet processing mills to our already extensive line of equipment. Looking back to the year 2002, when I took over at the helm, we only tanned for a handful of taxidermists in Michigan. Today, after much hard work and dedication, we are now pushing nearly 3,000 taxidermists nationwide. I strongly believe that because of our commitment to quality, customer focus and turnaround time, we have now become the most sought after, highly respected, commercial tannery for taxidermists in the United States. The guards are very easy to adjust and changing a blade is a breeze. New and in full swing is our 10 Easy Flesher. This machine is a scaled down version of our 12 Professional Series. For those of you that may be intimidated by the larger machine or just plain money conscious, this is the machine for you. Whether it s the 12 Professional Series or the 10 Easy Flesher, both are hand crafted by our skilled tradesmen. The machines are manufactured right here in our Michigan facility. We hold tight tolerances on the machining end of the process so you won t have premature wear on the internal components. Each machine is inspected and given a number before it leaves the facility. FLESHING MACHINE REPAIR In this department we receive those old worn out machines that you just don t want to part with. However, if the one you re using just isn t cutting it anymore, send it to us for an inspection and we ll give you a call with an estimate for repairs. We ve repaired the Eager Beaver, Raw Hide, Québec and all of the Van Dyke models. Most of the time the repair work is much less than you would expect. Don t fight with it another year. It will hold its shape and will not pull away from the eyes and detail you gave the form. This saves you time and frustration when finishing the mount. Try one and see for yourself how nice it is to work with.note: Be sure to use a quality glue and always make sure you do a second day work over on your mounts. Turnaround Time Excellent Quality Wonderful Stretch Multiple Facilities U.S.D.A. Approved DRY TAN Our dry tan is very easy to use and rehydrates quickly. There is no reason to have to leave it in the rehydration bath for any longer than 20 minutes. Cool water, a handful of salt per two (2) capes in a sink or bucket and that s it. Just like our wet tan, it too has very little shrinkage and is very stretchy. Any skins that you prefer the dry tan on will be shipped to our Michigan facility. In peak seasons, we have a truck going to and from Texas every thirty days. Our Wisconsin hub acts as a fleshing and salting point as well as a hub for our truck to pick up any skin whether full service was performed or the skins arrived already salt dried.our Texas facility serves as a fleshing and salting, wet tanning and distribution location. Approved Due to the many variables of Mother Nature and Wildlife, including health of the animal, weather, prime conditions of the skin or improper handling of some furs, ALL TANNING IS DONE AT OWNER S RISK. H&H Wildlife Design and Fur Dressing, Inc., its owners and/or employees, will not be held responsible for any loss while in transit or any damage of skins or other items due to theft, fire, vandalism, mechanical, flood or other circumstances or acts of God. Tanning is accepted under these conditions only. For each shipment enclose a packing list detailing the following: Company Name Full address, telephone number and address if available Taxidermist License Number (if required in your state ) Customer Number if you are an existing customer, if not, a number will be assigned to you. Complete inventory of skins sent If frozen be sure to write FROZEN or PERISHABLE on each box If you want a Wet Tan be sure to specify otherwise your skin will be processed as a dry tan. Once your shipment is received and checked in you ll be sent an acknowledgement of receipt of your skins. If there are any discrepancies please notify us immediately. Shipping/Insurance We ship through various commercial carriers as well as our own trucks. The responsibility for the shipment passes to you, the buyer, as soon as it is loaded on a truck. We do not add insurance to any shipment. If you would like insurance on your shipment you must request it each time. You are responsible for stating the value you want placed on each shipment along with the cost of the insurance. This added cost must be paid for prior to shipping. If a claim arises and you purchased shipping insurance you will need to deal directly with the insurance carrier on the claim. 14 PAYMENT POLICIES H&H Fur Dressing, Inc. Experienced Tanning Great Customer Service Turnaround Time Excellent Quality Wonderful Stretch Multiple Facilities All invoices are due upon receipt and must be paid in full prior to shipment. We accept Visa and Mastercard. Once established, company and personal checks will be accepted. All new customers Must pay by credit card, cashier s check or money order. Otherwise we will hold the Shipment until the payment clears the bank. All wet tan orders require a credit card on file so that we may ship immediately after completion. A fee of $39.00 will be assessed on all returned checks. Any invoice not paid within 30 days will be assessed a $35.00 per month fee. Any skins not paid for within 90 days of invoice date may become property of H&H Fur Dressing, Inc. and may be sold. U.S.D.A. Approved SERVICE CHARGES 50% extra charge on inadequately prepared skins. 50% extra charge for rush services. 15% Charge of the total cost for skins that are deemed rejected after they have gone through the wetting back and/or pickling process. $15.00 extra charge for excessively long deer capes. (ie. Pedestal mount) 15% extra charge for all other species with exceptionally long capes. Hides with heads will be charged as a life size minus the cost of the legs. Excessive grooming ie. Manure, burrs, etc. You will be contacted and given a cost. Note: Some species of sheep will not be groomed Return shipping insurance is not added unless specifically requested for and paid for by customer. All African shipments are subject to a $50.00 USDA handling fee plus a $25.00 charge for boiling per skull for swine and primates. 15 REHYDRATION INSTRUCTIONS H&H Fur Dressing, Inc. When relaxing skins, add 4 oz. of salt, or one handful per gallon of water. This will reduce the risk of acid swell. Approved Capes and Small Mammals - Submerge head in cool water for 20 minutes; Submerge remainder of skin for an additional 10 minutes. Remove skins, drain well, cover with plastic and let them sit overnight at room temperature. Life Size Skins - Submerge head and feet in water for 20 minutes and then submerge remaining skin for an additional 10 minutes. Remove skins, drain well, cover with plastic and let them sit overnight at room temperature. Bear Rugs - Submerge head and feet in water for 20 minutes.
