1 Animal Bingo!
2 Animal Bingo! This game is designed to help you make the most of your visit to Marwell Zoo, by encouraging children to look closely at the animals and develop their observational skills. It includes familiar animals, plus some of the more unusual species, to be found at Marwell. The pack contains 12 different bingo cards, and a map to help you locate the animals. Each species is given a number on the list page, which corresponds to the orange numbers on the map. Some animals (eg. the dwarf crocodile, Fregate Island beetle and the poison dart frog) have been grouped together as they share the same location (in this case Tropical World). How to play The children simply have to tick off the animals on their sheet as they spot them. The first person to get a complete row of 4 animals (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) calls bingo, and wins the game! To extend the game, why not try playing for full house ticking off all the animals on your card! (2 hours minimum. Please note, the animals are not necessarily visible all the time. You may have to count finding the animals enclosures in order to achieve a full house.) Curriculum Links SCIENCE Year 1 Animals, including humans identify and name a variety of common animals including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals
