New Seerey-Lester Wilderness Workshop At Triple D Game Farm February 1,2,3,4, optional 5, 2013 August 10, 11, 12, 13, optional 14, 2013 Unexpected Visitor painted by John Seerey-Lester using the Triple D black bear. Once again we are so pleased to announce the Seerey-Lester s will be teaching at our FAVORITE location for a Wilderness Workshop Triple D Game Farm! This is the only class where you will be able to photograph and sketch amazing wildlife in a natural environment, from just a few feet away, with nothing between you and the animals. Each morning you will go into the field and have 2-3 species your choice of over 2 dozen variety of animals, including; wolves, mountain lion, snow leopards, red fox, arctic wolves, Amur leopard, bobcat, bear, otter, lynx just to name a few.
Misfortune by John Seerey-Lester Painted by Seerey-Lester using the Triple D bear In the afternoons, John will teach you how to paint the exciting animals you just sketched and photographed. He will demonstrate all the techniques you want to learn, how to paint grass, moving water, snow, backgrounds, composition and use of light and of course one of the species at Triple D. It doesn t get any better than this!! Suzie will cover art sales and marketing, and John will critique your work. Where else can you have so much fun and learn at the same time?
Out of Sight by John Seerey-Lester using Triple D bear The workshop is four days, and you will have an optional fifth day to photograph additional animals. We highly recommend this optional day. We start by going on location to sketch and photograph in the early morning light. In February we had a wonderful snow falling while we were sketching wolves, snow leopard on a rock outcropping that looks like Tibet, and Arctic Wolves in the snow. Incredible!! In August we had a pack of wolves in a pond setting with reflections, the bear, bobcat and fox. Each season the animals have different coats to suit the time of year and environment. Royal Hunter by John Seerey-Lester John painted this using the Triple D tiger The optional day is for any animals or special animals you did not have the opportunity to photograph and sketch. You can photograph in the morning or afternoon, or all day long. There is no classroom on this optional day, it is strictly photographing. As with all the other days, you select 2-3 species ($ per animal per photographer), they are taken out in the field where you will photograph them. So if you didn t have the chance to photograph the baby leopard, cross fox, or even a pine martin, this is your chance! John and Suzie will be joining you for the shoot.
Where Night Trails Meet By John Seerey-Lester using the Triple D wolves John will complete a new demo painting each day, of one of the subjects we sketched and photographed in the morning. One lucky person from the class has the opportunity to win one of these demos! You watch him paint it, and you may take it home.
Wolf at the Wood Pile John Seerey-Lester This piece was stated as a demonstration during the class, using the Triple D wolf. These are just a few of the paintings that John has created from the animals at Triple D Game Farm. John says: This is probably the best possible experience for a painter of wildlife. Definitely not one to be missed. Suzie agrees and adds: I love going to Triple D, the animals are amazing and the staff are so great to work with! This class will be limited in size, so sign up now for the only place you will have astonishing wildlife and art instruction at the same time. The class is only, $ Please contact Kathleen at Triple D to sign up now! Kathleen Triple D Game Farm PO Box 5072 Kalispell, MT (406) info@tripledgamefarm.com Don t wait, this class fills up quickly, contact Kathleen to hold your place in this wonderful opportunity to see awesome animals and paint at the same time!!
