March 12th - Likely a PCC optional match, but 3 gun works too. April 9th - First real 3 gun of the year. A point series match. April 30th - PA State 3GN Championship - Advance registration required. Link to registration May 21st - 3 Gun. A point series match. June 10th and 11th - Invictus Practical Mid- Atlantic Multi-Gun Championship. A point series match. Advance registration required. So if you are not a member yet of 3-GN here is your chance to join and get classified. Dates for 2017 are: March 5th (weather permitting) Get to know your gear This will be a Get to know with (4) stages April 30th Season Opener (6) Stages Total ((1) classifier) July 2nd (7) Stages Total ((2) Classifiers), (300 Yard Range) August 6th (6 or 7) Stages Total ((1) Classifier) September 2nd (6 or 7) Stages Total ((1) Classifier), (300 Yard Range) October 29th (5 or 6) Stages Total ((1) Classifier) 2017 Barnes Precision 3 Gun Series open starts: March 19, 7:00 AM ends: October 15, 7:00 AM Location: Topton PA This is a four match series in which all four matches count towards the final awards and prize table. The matches will be held the third sunday in MarchSeptember, and October, and 4th Sunday in April. Start time is 8:00 for each match. fee is $30.00 per match and an additional $30.00 to be in the points series for the prize table. 100% of the 30 dollar point series money plus other cash and some prizes (Barnes has donated two complete uppers, and Keystone Ammunition is also on board again this year) will be on the prize table. I will also do a random draw for some prizes like last year for anyone outside the prizes who entered the points series and paid the extra We will honor three divisions this year with prizes divide up according to the number of people in each division. At this time we are only allowing people to register that can attend all four matches. 15 Easton Fish & Game 3*GUN 3 Gun is an exciting sport and one of the fastest growing shooting sports in America. Competitors use a rifle, shotgun and handgun to complete courses of fire. 3 Gun Nation is one organization promoting the sport will be the first year for 3 Gun at Easton Fish and Game. We will use 3 Gun Nation Rules, and if the year goes well, we plan to become an affiliated club. Registration -Pre-qualification registration will be online pre-registration only on As we do not have time to teach new shooters safety while setting up the stages, shooters will be required to be classified in a shooting sport. 3 Gun Nation classification will be preferred, however we will accept ICORE, IDPA, IPSC or classification as well. If time permits, we will keep one Special Events bay stage setup after a match is complete and qualify new shooters. This will not be available at the March match. Rules The 3 Gun Nation rules are at this web address ( PDF link to 3 gun rules for 2016and these rules will be used at Easton. Please read the rules to avoid being disqualified after travelling to a match. Schedule es will be on the third Saturday of the month. Setup will begin at 8am, check in at 10:30 and match briefing at 11am. Equipment At this time, we will only be running Practical and Factory divisions. Shooters will require an AR type of rifle chambered in 223 Remington/5.56 NATO. Please note rule 4.1 and No steel core or steel cased ammunition will be allowed. Neither EFGA or the match directors want their steel targets damaged. (Rule levies a $100 fine per steel target damaged by steel core ammunition) For club series matches, pistol caliber carbines are also allowed. The handgun will be 9mm minimum caliber and will be carried in a belt holster. We plan to use Newbold self-healing targets and therefore do not allow hollowpoint bullets as they shorten the life of the targets.
