Children under 2 years stay free of charge. Children aged 2 16 pay 50% off RACK when sharing a suite with 2 full paying adults. Two children aged 16 and younger can be accommodated with 2 parents. Cots are available for children up to the age of 2; Children aged 3-16 sleep on individual single beds. Children aged 17 and older will be charged standard rates. No children under 3 will be permitted on open vehicle game drives. For children under the age of 3, a Bush Bumble in a closed vehicle, can be organised between the morning and afternoon game drive. Childminders are available at a nominal extra rate and must be booked on arrival. Children aged 3-6 may participate in game drives if a private game drive vehicle is booked or if there are six guests in the group who will be seated on the same game drive vehicle. Children from the age of 6 may participate in game drives. Children under 3 may not dine in the boma, dining room or on decks. A private boma experience may be arranged for families travelling with children under 3. Alternatively, room service dinner and a childminder can be arranged. Thanda Safari Lodge is unfenced and wild animals can roam between the suites and main lodge area. Each suite has a private unfenced plunge pool. Villa izulu is fenced to provide safety from wildlife. CHILDREN: THANDA TENTED CAMP Children aged 8 and older are welcome at Thanda Tented Camp. Children aged 8 16 pay 50% off RACK when sharing a tent with 2 full paying adults. Children aged 8 16 sleep on individual single beds (stretcher beds). One child under 16 can be accommodated with 2 adults - additional accommodation required for 2 or more children. Children aged 17 and older will be charged standard adult rates. 3

4 TERMS & CONDITIONS 20% deposit of the total accommodation charge is required when making the reservation in order to secure the booking. Full payment is required 45 days prior to the confirmed arrival date. CANCELLATIONS Cancellations must be made in writing and conditions of cancellation are as follows: Less than 14 days prior to confirmed arrival date = 100% cancellation fee 15 to 44 days prior to confirmed arrival date = 50% cancellation fee 45 days and more prior to confirmed arrival date = loss of deposit THANDA SAFARI ACTIVITIES * PRICE PER PERSON In the Footsteps of the Zulus (Fully tailor-made activity, minimum 2 pax) Daily Zulu guide and a 4x4 safari vehicle for transfers to the local Zulu village. Hosted by the Community Liaison Officer. A contribution towards the Thanda Safari Community Projects is allocated in the per person rate. Available between morning and evening game drives. R In the Path of Wildlife (Fully tailor-made activity, minimum 2 pax) Daily This activity is hosted by a member of the Wildlife Conservation Team. A contribution towards the Thanda Safari Conservation Projects is allocated in the per person rate. Available at any time of the day and can fit between morning and evening game drives. Activities vary according to what the Conservation Team are working on during your stay. R Rhino Tracking (3- to 4-hour activity, maximum 4 pax) - Daily This activity is hosted by a member of the Rhino Monitoring Team. A contribution towards Thanda s Rhino Monitoring is allocated in the per person rate. Starting before sunrise, guests will help the team to track and identify the rhinos and learn all about their ecology, the threats to their species, their behaviour, their feeding patterns and much more. R Hippo & Croc Cruise (5-hour excursion, minimum 2 pax) Daily Depart Thanda Safari for a 1½-hour drive to the St. Lucia Estuary followed by a 2-hour cruise to view numerous birds and wildlife, including hippos and crocs.
