ASIAN DEFOLIATORS TRAPPING (USDA FARM BILL) *No A.D. traps were positive for target species in 2012.
Conducted in the Fall after trapping Used to determine if reproducing population exists EGG MASS SURVEYS
MASSES OR OTHER ALTERNATE LIFE STAGES ARE FOUND, IT CAN TRIGGER A TREATMENT. 2012: - Alternate Life stages were found in Duluth, Silver Bay, Finland & Cramer, MN - None of the sites with found alt. life stages are slated for treatments yet since they require further trapping delimitation in 2013 to better determine the extent of the population.

2013 GM Trapping Survey Plans - ~17,286 traps total milk cartons - 13,549 deltas 2013 Proposed GM Mating Disruption Treatment Locations - 63 Delimit sites (~3,168 traps) milk cartons - 2,296 deltas -Western Rotation will combine GM and EAB trapping GM Treatment Plans - Currently in the process of being proposed. - Mating disruption treatments at four locations in NE MN. - Open houses in proposed treatment areas will held in March for outreach and a chance for the public to comment.
ARROWHEAD REGION OF NE MINNESOTA - There has been a persistent influx of moths inland from the north shore of northeastern MN since the wave that came through in This has since implemented some changes. Milk Carton Trap - Milk Carton Trapping bigger traps accommodate for more moths in Cook County and select areas of Lake County Trapping: The STS Action Area trapping density was changed due to budget cuts 2K to 3K base grid (traps spaced further apart). - Post 2012 Trapping: STS will not be treating in Cook County anymore since the STS Action Area has passed through the area, leaving it in the STS Monitoring Area with a 5K trapping grid for The next phase would be Generally Infested Area GM Trapping Results - Post 2012 Trapping: Quarantines are likely in the near future for Cook & Lake Counties. We have criteria to determine where and when quarantines will occur.
