ABOUT US Houston Safari Club (HSC) is a group of like-minded individuals, from all walks of life, with one common vision to preserve the future of hunting, through education, conservation and the protection of hunters' rights. Over the past year, we have provided scholarships to 25 students majoring in wildlife and range management, hosted 150 high school students at our annual Convention youth experience, funded an anti-poaching ranger base in Tanzania, relocated desert bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope and mule deer in west Texas, opposed airline embargoes against the transport of legally harvested game animals and so much more. Through our media offerings, HSC strives to educate, inform and keep alive the art of storytelling. We share the experience of life s adventures. More importantly, through our passion for the outdoors, we are making a difference. Won t you join us? OUR MISSION HSC is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve the sport of hunting conservation and the protection of hunters rights. HSC proudly provides one of the largest scholarship programs of its kind, in conjunction with its 501(c)(3) charitable arm, the American Conservation and Education. Since 1972, HSC and ACES have provided millions of dollars for conservation, education and hunting rights initiatives worldwide, to ensure the longevity and the sustainability of hunting resources, for generations to come. 3 MED I A KIT EDUCATION HSC, through ACES, proudly provides one of the largest scholarship programs of its kind. Students who participate in hunting and are involved in the study of wildlife, range management and other conservation-related majors, 449 scholarships have been awarded, totaling over 1.8 million dollars. HSC also provides programs which introduce a new generation of young people to the outdoors. These programs provide interactive experiences in the classroom, in the field and on the water. CONSERVATION HSC provides support for wildlife preservation and habitat protection initiatives, research and management programs, and many organizations that share our mission. HSC has provided over 1.5 million in grants over the past 5 years to support conservation, anti-poaching, hunters rights, youth education, hunters safety and more. HSC has worked with and supported groups including the Congressional Sportsmen s Foundation, National Rifle Association, American Wildlife Conservation Partners, Conservation Force, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas Wildlife Association, Operation Game Thief, Boy Scouts of America and hundreds of other worthy organizations. HUNTERS RIGHTS HSC directly supports initiatives which protect and preserve the tradition of hunting and hunters rights worldwide. HSC s membership takes an active role in efforts to effect policies, protocols and legislation which promote the future of conservation and hunting. 4 OUR P URP O S E Conservation, education, & hunters rights is just the beginning of what we do... To conserve and preserve the wild game species of the world, their habitat and hunting. To promote good fellowship among those who love the outdoors and the sports of hunting and fishing. To aid conservation by initiating projects, and by supporting worthwhile projects of other organizations that share common goals, beliefs, and purposes, in the U.S. and around the world. To educate our youth in the safe and sportsman like use of firearms, hunting ethics, and to interest them in the conservation of wildlife and its habitat, which is their natural heritage. To educate our members, our youth and the public on the role that hunting plays as a recognized scientific tool in conservation of the world s wildlife resources, and to support American Conservation and Education Society (ACES). To preserve the rights of the hunter to pursue hunting and to promote a public understanding and acceptance of proper hunting as the ancient, honorable and valuable activity we know it to be. To share our hunting skills and information with younger, serious but less experienced hunters and to encourage them to develop into responsible hunters and conservationists. To provide recognition for the individuals who have succeeded in this sport and those who have accomplished significant advances in any of our purposes. PA G E 4

HSC can also set up an automatic payment via credit card if the advertiser desires. However, outstanding balances over 30 days will result in a charge to the card on file.
