1 for prepay Welcome to the BANE OF WAR 6 tournament January 16th 17th 2016 This year we will be playing Mid War, at 1675 points, in all theaters (all lists in the Mid War books and applicable pdfs, no MWM at all). 50 players - Players will pre-pay and pre-register to be guaranteed a spot (WE WILL NOT BE GOING OVER 50 PLAYERS!!) Where: Texas Military forces museum, 2200 West 35th Street. Camp Mabry BoW participants play in a WWII museum, surrounded by Sherman s, halftracks and much more! We will be moving many more of our tables out onto the floor this year. What does this mean to you? First, register@baneofwar.com in $ Allowing 25 allied and 25 axis armies, so sign up soon! Armies should only be chosen from the MidWar War books, or PDF s that are applicable to that period. Scoring Typical FOW scoring, adding a plus 1 if you win and either wiped your opponent, captured the objective, or reached the end of round 6. (Timing someone out before round 6, and receiving the win will not give you the bonus point).

2 Sportsmanship scores are added at 10 percent. Number of Wins will be used as a tie breaker Painting will be in its own category having no affect on the overall winner. Organizer: Mark Bayne mark@baneofwar.com Referee: Mark Bayne, and Special Note Western Front will NOT be playing Eastern Front until the final round, if possible. Special Special Note We will be running a Unique Hero tournament. If your Hero dies, at any time, DIRECTLY from fire (not company/platoon breaking), your Hero will be gone for the tournament. He will be replaced by a higher command team with no special abilities or vehicles, but at the same morale and skill set. This does not affect Italians Unknown Hero. All players will be allowed to run a single stand rifle armed Confident Trained Hero, in lieu of a special hero for 30 points. This hero follows all of the rules of FoW for a higher command team.

3 Tables - Table/terrain awards will be given. o Mid - war opens up all kinds of cool table possibilities! Please sign up with these COST- $25.00 entry fee PRE-PAY via PayPal, check or money order! You can pay at the door but that will not guarantee you a spot. When spots are filled, they are gone. Does not include food this year, you will be paying the vendor directly for your meal. I will be only adding people to the list who pre-pay. Pre-pay will be partially refunded if canceled 3 weeks prior if you cannot attend, minus 5.00 for transaction fees. No refund for any reason after 3 weeks, due to my expenditures for prize support and such. Similar FOOD PLAN THIS YEAR! Evil Weiner was a hit last year; we will try something similar for a food truck this year. T-Shirts are available for sale, I will send and post previews. T-shirts this year will come in sizes up to 4XL or XT, designs will be displayed before sale of shirts becomes available. o These must be pre-ordered and pre-paid, via PayPal, check or money order. Raffles; all proceeds are donated to the Museum. Extra Sodas, water and chips will be.50 cents. Painting (does not affect your overall score) Painting will be scored by your opponent (his opinion) as follows: o 1 point if Minimum base color (color primer is fine) (no bare metal please) o 2 points if 3 color minimum and basic basing has been applied o 3 points if nicely painted and based, good quality o 4 points if done with a high level of detail for basing and painting o 5 points if exceptional with a very high detail, everything is superb. Maybe consider theater specific for this as well Overall best painted DOES NOT have to be theater specific. Finalists will then be judged by a team of 4 at the end of the tournament. Secondary painting award o Objectives and Best Platoon will also be awarded.

5 Terrain Descriptions (still taking suggestions here) Hills Tier 1 hill. Blocks line of sight; Provides concealment if hull-down. All parts of hill blocks LOS, not WYSIWYG. Steep Hills Tier 2 hill (over 2 tall or two layers), difficult terrain, bog check to cross for vehicles. Block line of sight Escarpments Impassable by all but mountaineers block LOS Rivers and Streams Bog check when entering, and one when exiting, when crossed by vehicles and difficult terrain. Waddi s / Dry river beds Bog check to cross, slow going. Slow going to drive down. Creeks Bog check Slow going Fords Slow going only ALL RIVERS/STREAMS WILL HAVE 3 FORDS ACROSS or BRIDGES PERIOD!!! Canals/Ponds/Lakes Impassable except for amphibious vehicles. Marsh Very difficult terrain and provides concealment to infantry and small/medium guns. Woods/Forests Area terrain, blocks line of sight, provides concealment, difficult terrain. Bog check when crossed by vehicles. NOT WYSIWYG, just assume very dang tall. High Fields (Wheat/Corn) Area terrain, 6 visibility infantry to infantry/small gun, provides concealment for all for all and viewing/shooting across it. SLOW GOING Plowed Fields Open terrain, slow going Muddy Fields Difficult terrain and a bog check for non-fully tracked vehicles. Hay Stacks Provides concealment to adjacent (behind) units, WYSIWYG for LOS. Low Hedges/Fences (wooden) Blocks line of sight and provides concealment for infantry and small/medium guns not adjacent. Provides concealment for vehicles and large guns and bog check for non-fully tracked vehicles, always slow going High Hedges Blocks line of sight for all non-adjacent teams. Provides concealment for adjacent teams and bog check for vehicles to cross, it is difficult terrain. WALLS Stone walls are bullet proof cover - WYSIWYG Craters/Rubble Difficult terrain that provides bullet-proof concealment and bog check for vehicles to cross. WYSIWYG Buildings Provides bullet-proof concealment. Very difficult terrain; it s a skill check when entered by tracked vehicles. Wind Mills Impassable and cannot be entered by infantry. WYSIWYG Train Tracks Difficult terrain. Bog check for vehicles to cross. Open going when driving along the track. Tank Traps impassable, but not area terrain WYSIWYG Soft Desert / Sand Dunes Very difficult going, area terrain. Hills or open areas covered in brown / sand cloth. Desert / Winter Storm / Dawn Treat as dawn per the rule book, start rolling immediately. A roll of a 6 ends it. Desert boards and snow boards are hard packed, except where marked, treat as cross country. Vineyards and Orchards Treat as slow going. Area terrain w/ 12 visibility instead of 6 ; Concealment to all YOU CAN USE ANY TERRAIN RULES IF BOTH YOU AND YOUR OPPONENT AGREE TO IT BEFORE HAND. But, YOU will be held to these rules if a disagreement occurs.
