Martin Collins (ARD) briefed the meeting on the latest developments in Roller Derby: - Issues with SV affecting all states, not just NSW, with SV draining players to VIC, and not serving the leagues in other States. - FIRS World Roller Games will include Roller Derby. - World Flat Track Roller Derby not aligning with FIRS, and looking to undermine Federated models across the World. - SA has seconded Martin to the RDA advisory committee, to put together a policy for National Team selection. - AMRD have indicated that they would select any player no matter there affiliation. - The Meeting discussed this conundrum, with the suggesting a State Championship with either top club teams, or a State Team selected to compete at a National Championships from which players were then selected would be the most desirable model. - The Roller Derby Accreditations held thus far have been positive. - There was some discussion regarding the grant received for the Roller Derby Accreditations and the best ways to utilize this SkateNSW AGM-Minutes (FINAL).doc Page 3 of 5

4 asked that the Roller Derby report as read be accepted. - Moved by Martin Collins (Armidale RD) - Seconded by Debbie Greenwood (ILH VP) That the Roller Derby report is accepted. 7.6 Skateboarding - c/o Skateboarding Australia n/a - informed the meeting that the latest information from Skate Australia was that FIRS are the recognized organization for Skate boarding by the IOC. The meeting agreed to keep the membership fees the same as in CAT 1 Premium $120 ($145 Unattached) CAT 2 Competitive $90 ($115 Unattached) CAT 3 Development $60 ($85 Unattached) CAT 4 Recreational $30 CAT 5 Associate $30 - Seconded by Leonard Karp (SkateNSW ) All in agreement Membership fees for 2017 remain the same as the 2016 fees. 10 APPOINTMENT OF AUDITOR The meeting agreed to retain the same Auditor until the Audited Accounts are sorted out. 5 12 NEW BUSINESS, WHICH MAY HAVE ARRISEN SINCE SEPTEMBER 15 TH 2016 Membership Payment system - There was some discussion as to whether or not Credit Card fees can be absorbed. informed the meeting that SkateNSW nor Skate Australia were not in a financial position to do so, so would need to pass these fees on. - There was some discussion as to whether or not alternative payment methods could be allowed, as done by SkateQLD. informed the meeting that SQ has a full time administrator (which is funded by a government grant) and full, including a treasurer. By accepting alternative payment methods, the automating of payments and accounting would no longer happen, which would lead to more administration time/costs. - There was some discussion as to whether or not the State Branches could manage this themselves or not. would check with Skate Australia if this would be possible or not. ILHNSW MOU - There was some discussion as to what the pre-determined time in which the MOU stands, as the current committee size is larger and ILHNSW would prefer to go back to the SkateNSW Branch structure. would check the MOU minutes. - The meeting felt the time that has pasted would indicate that the MOU is complete, and that the MOU be repealed and replaced by the SkateNSW Branch Bylaws. Motion: 1 The MOU, which commenced on 1/1/2007, be repealed as of the date of the ILHNSW AGM in The NSW Inline Hockey branch (ILHNSW) be governed by the rules and bylaws governing each other branch. - Moved by Leonard Karp (SkateNSW ) - Seconded by Judith Adams All in agreement 13 NEXT MEETING Based on the information to date, the AGM date was set to Sunday 26 th November 2017 (TBC).
