1 (USA DAEDO TRUESCORE TAEKWONDO LEAGUE) STATE CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT Dear Taekwondo Masters, Instructors, Students & Families: We are pleased to announce the USA Daedo Truescore Taekwondo League, where competitions have major significance in the development of future athletes. Give your students the opportunity to acquire top level experience and also, a chance to compete at their higher level of Olympic Taekwondo sparring. All athletes and coaches can expect competition matches to be safe and fairly conducted. We are committed to give an enjoyable and rewarding competition day! USA DAEDO TRUESCORE STATE QUALIFIER *USA Daedo Truescore State Championships are direct qualifiers for the USA Daedo Truescore National / Team Trial Championships. *All USA Daedo Truescore State Championships will use the same age, belt color, weight categories & rules that will be followed at the USA Daedo Truescore National / Team Trials Championships. *All State Championships will use and follow USA Daedo Truescore Rules & Regulations. *All State Championships will use Electronic Scoring system. *Top 8 of each weight class will be qualify for the USA Daedo Truescore Nationals. *Top 8 athletes participating in the following divisions at a State Championship will automatically qualify to compete at the USA Daedo Truescore National Championships. *USA Daedo Truescore uses the date December 31 of the given year to determine the age of all competitors. *Athletes ages 12 & older black belts competing in sparring must be a U.S. Citizen to compete in the USA Daedo Truescore Taekwondo National Team or Team Trials.

All competitors must wear Olympic Style sparring safety equipment: - Mouth piece - Groin protector (Worn inside) - Shin protectors - Forearm protectors - Sparring Headgear (White, Blue and/or Red) *Daedo E-Headgear Provided - Sparring gloves (WTF approved only) Not Required - Sparring socks (Daedo sensor socks) *Rentals Available ($10/pair) Olympic Sparring Contact Rules Age Groups (5-11yrs) / All Color Belts - NO Head Contact Age Groups (5-11yrs) / Black Belts - Light Head Contact (E-Headgear) Age Groups (12-13yrs) / All Color Belts - Light Head Contact Age Groups (12-14yrs) / Black Belts - Light Head Contact (E-Headgear) Age Groups (14-17yrs) / All Color Belts - Light Head Contact Age Groups (15-17yrs) / Black Belts - Adult Head Contact (E-Headgear) Age Groups (18-32yrs) / All Color Belts - Adult Head Contact (E-Headgear) Age Groups (33 & Over) / All Color Belts - Adult Head Contact (E-Headgear) Coach Pass ONLY coaches with proper passes will be permitted in the Athlete Holding Area and Octagon Sparring ring. No exceptions. Valid Targets & Legal Techniques - Kicks to the front, side and back flank areas from the waist are permitted. NO KICKS TO LEGS! - Kicks towards the head ( Refer to Contact Rules) - Punches to the front and side are permitted. NO HEAD PUNCHES! - Pushing will be permitted but only with immediate kick.

6 ARNOLD OPEN TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP Dear Taekwondo Masters, Instructors, Students & Families: We are pleased to announce the NEWLY Arnold Open Taekwondo Championship hosted by the 2015 Arnold Combative Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio. This tournament will showcase Electronic Scoring & the NEW Octagon Sparring Matts. It is our commitment to provide a true Taekwondo experience with the latest international standards. All athletes and coaches can expect competition matches to be safe and fairly conducted. 7 Awards 1 st, 2 nd & 3 rd The sparring competition rules regulate and govern all matters pertaining to Taekwondo competition at ALL levels in accordance with the WTF; in addition to the rules incorporated by the appointed event director(s). All competitors must wear basic sparring safety equipment: - Mouth piece - Groin protector (Worn inside) - Shin & Instep protectors or foot guards - Forearm protectors - Sparring Headgear (White, Blue and/or Red) - Sparring gloves (Not required) Sparring Contact Rules There will be light contact sparring rules for the novice level students, medium contact for the intermediate & advanced level students. We will use WTF Taekwondo sparring rules. *Please Note: The competitor who executes a kick to the face which results in a minor injury (abrasion or bleeding) shall receive a 1-point deduction. A disqualification may be determined by the referee if the caused injury prohibit s the continuation of the match. Coach Pass ONLY coaches with proper passes will be permitted in the Athlete Holding Area and Octagon Sparring ring. No exceptions.
