All competitors must be pre pared to show documentation of valid Judo Membership. A Release & Indemnity form is attached for out of Province/Country Participants including minors & adults. 3 Referee Grading: Rules: Judogi/Uniforms: Novice: Match Times: Weigh - In: Admission Fee: Provincial C & D at this tournament IJF Contest Rules Apply with noted exceptions. 1.) Rest period between matches may be limited to a period equal to the division match duration. 2.) All Novice, U9, U11, U13; Head lock throws not permitted. 3.) All Novice, U9, U11, U13; Drop Knee Seoi-nage not permitted. 4.) Shimewaza & Kansetsuwaza permitted in Junior Men, Junior Women, and Senior Divisions Only. Shimewaza only permitted in U17 Mens & Womans. No Shimewaza or Kansetsuwaza allowed in U15, U13, U11, or Novice Divisions. 5.) IJF fitting rules apply. Remove all metal objects from your body includeing undergarments and hair. Women are to wear a plain white T-shirt with no logos or writing. All nail polish or face make-up shall be re moved prior to the contest. 6.) Blue Judogi encouraged U15, U17, U20, Seniors; but not mandatory to be worn by competitor called SECOND. Special Division for White & White-Yellow belts. U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U20 Ne-waza Only. One referee per mat area. U9, U11-2 minutes - 3 Ippon Rule U minutes U15-3 minutes U17-4 minutes U20-4 minutes Seniors - 5 minutes 8 AM - All Novice U9, U11 & U13 check-in. We are using the honor system; no weigh in but check in is mandatory. EXACT WEIGHT to be submitted with entry. We reserve the right to re-weigh. 8:30 AM - U15 & U17 9 AM - U20, Seniors $5 for Adults $2 for Youth under 12 years old $10 per Family Medal Presentations: 4:00 PM - All Divisions No Medals will be handed out prior to tournament completion You must be in full Judogi to receive your medals. Concession: Grand Champion: There will be a concession for all athletes and spectators at the tournament site. We will be hosting a nutritious line of snacks and lunch cuisine. If you are Orange belt to Blue belt, U17 and older, and take a gold or silver medal in your regular division, you may enter the Grand Championships. Male and Female Grand Champion will receive a $250 Bursary for First Place.
