2 2 GENERAL RULES [1] This tournament is governed by the championship rules and guidelines of the Taekwondo body, and is only open to all Taekwondo students regardless of organization. [2] All competitors must wear a complete Taekwondo uniform with authorized markings only (no visible clothing under the dobok). This may be either a V-neck or open style uniform. [3] For all other divisions, wearing shoes during the competition will result in disqualification (in case an exception is required due to medical circumstances, please consult one of the judges prior to the competition). [4] At the beginning and ending of each performance, the competitor bows to the judges. This applies to all divisions. [5] Etiquette is of utmost importance within Taekwondo. In the event that a competitor shows bad etiquette, this may result in deduction of points or disqualification. [6] Note that in all divisions, male and female competitors may be combined. We reserve the right to combine or add divisions to best accommodate everyone. [7] Competitors will be assigned to a division based on Dan promotions until May 31 st, Example: promoted to 1 st Dan on Jun 5 th, 2016 means this competitor will compete in the Color Belt - Level 2 division. [8] Competitors will be assigned to a division based on their age as of July 22 nd, [9] In case of a tie, competition will be repeated.
