So, we are glad to invite you to the third edition of the Open des Ch tis, a tournament in teams, taking place on Saturday 11 October Thank to the change in the date, different nations have shown a real interest in the tournament. Thus, they will come on top those who already came last year (Germany, Algeria, Great Britain, Belgium...) In September, i.e. at the beginning of the season, a lot of clubs are looking for team-tournaments as a preparation. The demand is as high in male and female teams. This is why this year, both will have a chance to compete. The city of Valenciennes, the North department and the region Nord-Pas-de- Calais are proud to be partners and to welcome you for the event. 3 Tournament planning: Friday, October 10th, 2014: - Welcoming the delegations - Transport on the various places of accommodation Saturday, October 11th, 2014: - 8:00-9:00 am: weighing - 9:15 am: tournament opening - 09:30 am: beginning of the competition - 05:00 pm: finals - 06:00 pm: awards ceremony - 8:00 pm: end-of-tournament night (reserved to judokas, managers and personalities) Sunday, October 12th, 2014: - Departure of the delegations - Organisation of a training 10:00 am: Tachi Waza and Ne Waza (dominant Ne Waza) 03:00 pm: Tachi Waza and Ne Waza (dominant Tachi Waza) 05:30 pm: Drink Trainings will be assured by international judokas as well as French or foreign experts. Rules : the 3 rd Open des Ch tis of October, 11 th 2014 Male juniors and seniors teams: born in 1996 and before. Class: -66kg/-73kg/-81kg/-90kg/ and + 90kg. Female juniors and seniors teams: born in 1996 and before. Class: -52kg/-57kg/-63kg/-70kg/ and + 70kg. The weighing will be at 8 am on the spot. (1kg variation will be accepted) 1) The teams commitment A club or a delegation will be able to present several teams Each fighter will have to present a medical certificate, from less than one year, precising the mention do not present any contraindication for the practice of judo in competition as well as a membership card of their federation for the current sports season. 2) Composition of the teams You will be able to build a team by gathering together judokas of different clubs ( 2 clubs to the maximum) An incomplete team will be able to participate 2 fighters are allowed for each weight class.

4 3) Refereeing Refereeing rules are those of the U.E.J The manager of the club can have either one or the other of the team members fight in his or her class of weight or the immediate upper class at each of the rounds. The manager of the club will only be obliged to put forward a list of team members to the official table before each round of the competition. To allow teams to make to the maximum their 2 fighters of a same class fight, we offer the possibility, once the result is acquired, to change the composition during the meeting. (e.g : starting with the 66 kg, if one of the teams wins the first 3 fights, both of them will be able to present other fighters than those designated on the meeting sheet for the classes - 90kg and +90kg The blue judo suit is not compulsory but allowed for a complete team. Numbers concerning the control of judo suits remains applied (Sokuteiki). Backnumbers will be allowed. In case of a draw at the end of the time frame fixed by the regulation, the golden score rule will be effective. Should two teams reach an equal score in victories as well as in score, there will be a second round. In case of a new draw, a wheight category will be drawn. The victor of the fight will determine the winning team. 4) Coaches Will be allowed only one coach per team with the behaviour corresponding to our values. 5) Organisation of the competition Duration of the fights: Male: 5 minutes / Female: 4 minutes The competition will take place on 4 mats in group of 3 or 4 teams: the first 2 teams of each group will be qualified for the final list which will go by a process of direct elimination. We will do a decider for the third best one and we will reserve the right to change the presentation depending on the number of teams. 6) Draw The draw will be done after the weighing in the presence of the representatives of the clubs ( one for each club) Criteria determining the seeded players: 1. The distance of foreign delegations 2. Organisation into a hierarchy of clubs seeded in the first 7 French championships 1st division and then 2nd division in the current year 3. Distance of the local clubs ( the clubs which will participate to national phases, juniors - seniors, 1st division or 2nd division during the current season)

5 The classes of weight which will start the matches will be drawn. The entire matches per group will start with the same class. For the final list, each round will start with a different class 7) The entrance to the sports hall and entering fees Place: Henri Bois hall, rue de la Chaussiette, Jean Monnet sports complex (Dojo of the water center opposite the high school Pays de Condé) Condé sur l Escaut. The entrance is free The entering fees for a team are 50 euros No registration on the spot. For Female Teams : - For the club : a cup to the first 4 teams - For the judokas : - 1st team : 1000 euros for the team - 2nd team : 700 euros for the team - 3rd team 300 euros for the team - 4th team: medals and presents for the team.
