1 WORLD UNITED KARATE ORGANIZATION & ASSOCIATED DISCIPLINES Cannobio (Italy), 2nd February 2016 Newsletter 1/2016 WUKO&AD WORLD CUP The Wuko&Ad World Cup in Lignano Sabbiadoro (Italy) has been a great success: 945 participants and 15 countries (Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Croatia, Germany, India, England, Norway, Panama, Romania, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, USA, and Italy). Very important also the participation of athletes with disability. The Wuko&Ad Directing Commitee thanks all for their attendance and takes this opportunity to extend its gratitude to all of them for their generous and constant support over the years. 2 MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WUKO&AD WUKF WUKO&AD signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the WUKF, World Union of Karate-do Federation. WUKO&AD and WUKF are the only two organizations of General Karate inside the UWK, United World Karate. We report here below as signed by WUKO&AD and WUKF (it is possible to see the original document on Given that the World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF) and the World United Karate Organization & Associated Disciplines (WUKO&AD) are two global organizations coordinating and organizing the Federations of every country on every continent with the purpose of promoting traditional and sport karate. Considering the above mentioned WUKF and WUKO&AD agree to cooperate in order to promote the discipline of Karate through common activities, organizing events that give further credibility to the discipline itself. The respective organizations will maintain their sovereignty but will avoid activities that may overlap. So WUKF and WUKO&AD for the next two years agree as follows: WUKO&AD agrees to recognize the organization of the World Championship and of the Continental Championships only to WUKF, ceasing to organize its own World and Continental Championships. WUKF agrees to recognize the organization of the World Cup competitions and Continental Cup competitions only to WUKO&AD ceasing to organize its own World and Continental Cup competitions. WUKF and WUKO&AD will promote the organization of joint workshops and meetings, aimed at merging the technical and programmatic lines of the two organizations for a joint development. WUKF and WUKO&AD undertake to organize and to participate in the technical activities of study and update. With this memorandum of undestanding Wuko&Ad members may attend the Wukf events and viceversa. NEW WUKO&AD FEES Here you can find in red the new Wuko&Ad fees. You can find enclosed our Application form. Please fill it out and return it to the secretariat together with the payment of the annual fee. We always need to keep our list up to date. After due verification, we will have to delete from the list all those organizations that have not fulfilled their financial obligations and to be admitted again, they will have to make a further request to the Directing Committee, that will decide only after consultation with the national delegate. STAGE WITH SENSEI FERRANDO BLADE Vila Franca del Penedés (Barcelona SPAIN) From 19th to 20th February 2016 We inform you that Sensei Jordi Ferrando Bladé, 7th Dan, president of Shindokai Karate Kobudo Asociacion and Wuko&Ad Kobudo Director, will organize from 19th to 20th february 2016 an international stage of Karate Shito Ryu in Vila Franca del Penedés (Barcelona Spain). 4
