2 WELCOME PRESIDENT MALAYSIA KARATE FEDERATION (MAKAF) TAN SRI HJ SENATOR MOHD ALI BIN MOHD RUSTAM It is an honour for Malaysia Karate Federation (MAKAF) to host the 5 th SEAKF Championship. I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all participants in this edition of SEAKF Championship in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The past editions of SEAKF Championship have been the major platform for all SEA Federations to interact and foster our friendships with each other. In this edition, I hope not only our friendship will be strengthened, but our knowledge and skills in karate will be further improved. Finally, I wish all participants a pleasant stay in Port Dickson, and a very successful competition. 3 ABOUT PORT DICKSON accommodation. Port Dickson is a beach resort destination at Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia, about 90km south from Kuala Lumpur and 30km away from Seremban. Also called 'PD' by locals, this popular holiday retreat is located within easy reach from KL and Singapore by major highways and roads. From PD's town center, a coastline of warm beaches and calm seas stretches along a 10-mile strip towards Malacca, ending at the tip of Cape Rachado (Tanjung Tuan). 4 CURRENCY, TIME ZONES & NEAREST INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Currency The monetary unit of the country is Ringgit Malaysia and is written as RM. Foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks and money changers. The current exchange rates for Rinngit Malaysia to some international currencies are approximately as below: USD1.00 = RM4.00 (The rates are subject to daily fluctuation) Time Zone The difference between MST and GMT is 8 hours (GMT +8) International Airport The nearest international airport to the city is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA/ KLIA2). 6 REGISTRATION & FEES Registration Each National Federation is allow to register a maximum of 2 entries per individual event and 1 entry per team event. All registration for competition and accreditation shall be done online via Sportdata only. The registration link for the Championship is as follows: active_menu=calendar&vernr=2600#a_eventhead Registration Fees Individual event USD50 per entry per person Team event USD100 per entry per team. Upon registration online the organiser will invoice the National Federation for payment upon official registration and check in. During official registration all competitors' passport will be checked and compared with the detail entered online. Please note that the closing date for online registration is May 22 nd, Any amendment on the registration after the closing date, will be charged USD10 per amendment. Every participating National Federation must submit to the Secretariat during the official registration 2 pieces of their National Flag (standard size, 3 feet x 6 feet), and a copy of their National Anthem in MP3 format. 7 OFFICIATING REFEREES All competing teams are encourage to send WKF / AKF referees and judges to officiate in the Championship. There is no limitation on the number of referees from each country officiating in the Championship,and the organiser will undertake to provide free full board accommodation for a maximum of 5 officiating referees from each participating country. Please note that the offer of free full board accommodation do not include those that are participating in AKF Judge -B examination and passed, and therefore mandatory to officiate in the Championship. All officiating referees will be paid allowances from the first day of the competition to the last day by the organiser. AKF JUDGE-B EXAMINATION, AND COACHES SEMINAR Detail regulations procedures and regulations for AKF Referees Seminar and coaches licensing will be provided and informed by AKF. Please note that the rules and regulation for hotel booking stated in this bulletin are applicable on all referees and coaches attending the seminar. Page 6 / 13

14 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Insurance No insurance is arranged for the participants (athletes, coaches, referees, and any member of delegations) at the 5 th SEAKF Championship. It is the responsibility for all participants and members of delegations to have their own insurance cover. The Malaysia Karate Federation and South Eas Asia Karate Federation shall assume no liability or responsibility for the lack of insurance cover for all participants and delegation members. Please note that the Chief of Delegation have to confirm the terms of responsibility when registering the delegation online.
