2 INTRODUCTION We have the pleasure of inviting you Sunday 25 th, February to participate to INTERNATIONAL OPEN U23, and it is open for female and male senior foilists, both foregin and Spanish nationals.the competition is a part of the Spanish senior ranking and the U23 European Circuit, where it scores too. At the same weekend, will take place the 2 nd edition of the SABADELL S SATELLITE WORLD CUP in WOMEN S AND MEN S FOIL which will take place on the 24 th of February 2018 in Sabadell. (Barcelona) The Federació Catalana d Esgrima, the Club d Esgrima Sabadell and the Real Federación Española de Esgrima, together with the support of l'ajuntament de Sabadell, the Consell Català de l Esport and the Unió de Federacions Esportives de Catalunya, are organizing and inviting you to participate in these prestigious competitions. IMPORTANT As the Mobile World Congress takes place from 26 th February till 1 st of March in Barcelona, we strongly advise to book accommodation and flights in advance to avoid any inconveniences it may cause.

4 REGISTRATIONS INTERNACIONAL OPEN: Fencers who participate in the Satellite World Cup and wish to participate in the Open International need to register at the European Fencing website. Following EFC rules, will not be accepted registration the same day of the competition. All fencers must register at the web site of the European Confederation through their national federations. (only the National Federations are allowed to send the registrations of their fencers to the EFC). Terms: according to the European Confederation regulation: Fencers under 23: born between 1995 and 2003 (both years included). Must possess the Fencing European Confederation license. Senior fencers: born in 1994 or before. Must have the RFEE (Real Federación Española de Esgrima) license (it is not necessary to acquire the Fencing European Confederation license). SATELITE WORLD CUP Registrations must be done through national federations at the FIE web site

5 REGISTRACION FEES The fees must be paid during the check-in at the venue. INTERNATIONAL OPEN: 20 SATELITE WORLD CUP: 30 REFEREES INTERNACIONAL OPEN International fencers Will follow the same stipulations than the Satelite World Cup: From 1 to 4 fencers : No referee required From 5 to 9 fencers : 1 referee From 10 to 15 fencers : 2 referees Fencers affiliated to the RFEE: referees will be brought according to the regulation of TNR ABS from de RFEE. The deadline to book a referee in advance is February the February, 19th. Referees must confirm their presence the day of the championship at 07h30 at the Directoire Technique. During the whole championship, they must be at disposal of the Directoire Technique. SATELITE WORLD CUP: According to the FIE regulation for Junior World Cups, stipulations are: From 1 to 4 fencers : No referee required From 5 to 9 fencers : 1 referee From 10 to 15 fencers : 2 referees

It is possible to arrive at the sports facilities with the following directions: Aerobus (Airport-Barcelona, Plaça Catalunya) + Train FGC S2 or RENFE R4 (Plaça Catalunya-Sabadell Nord) Taxi: official cabs in Barcelona are legally authorized to charge the amount that appears in their devices. The length of the transfer from Barcelona to the Hotel is around 45'. BAR During the Championship a bar will be set up for both fencers and the audience.
