3 Notice Dear Masters, Instructors and Taekwondo Practitioners: It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 2016 Sport TKD Open Championship to be held at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario on February 27 th & 28 th, This event is a fully sanctioned Ontario Taekwondo Association ("OTA") event and as such, World Taekwondo Federation ("WTF") competition rules will be in effect for all black belt divisions and OTA competition rules for all color belt divisions. This year we have made many amendments to our current tournament format: Saturday, February 27 th, 2016 (Day 1) All Color belt and Recreational Competition All athletes will be weighed in prior to their competition There will be a double elimination for 3 rd for all athletes aged 14 & under There will be additional competition for all athletes aged 7-12 All High Performance Black Belt Competition Sunday, February 28 th, 2016 (Day 2) All Color Belt Competition There will be a Double Elimination for 3 rd High Performance Black Belt Competition All High Performance competition will be using KP&P All athlete must bring their own KP&P socks Enclosed, please find the attached tournament package with details regarding registration methods, deadlines, tournament rule, etc. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. 4 Schedule DAY 1 TOURNAMENT Color Belt Divisions Each Match will be 2 rounds of 45secs (14years & under) Each Match will be 2 rounds of 1 minute (15years & up) No head contact for all color belts There will be an official Weigh In at the competition Double Elimination for 3 rd Place The Tournament Host reserves the right to separate or combine divisions at their discretion based on age and weight or other discretionary factors. Black Belt Recreational Divisions There will be an official weigh at the competition Double Elimination for 3 rd Place Matches will consist of 2 rounds x 1.5 minutes with 30 seconds rest NO head contact for the following divisions: - Youth Black belts (11 years and under) - Recreational Divisions (12 to 29 years old) Black Belt - Executive Divisions ( 30 & up) The Tournament Host reserves the right to separate or combine divisions at their discretion based on age and weight or other discretionary factors (Athletes aged 7 to 12) After conclusion of the Individual matches All Athletes will be seeded from 1 to 6 Depending the number off athletes in the Division They will be separated in the 2 Teams (Ex athlete ranked 1, 4, 6 and 2, 3, 5 ) Round 1 of Team match will be 30 seconds long per player Round 2 of Team match will be 1:30 long with 10 player changes There will be designated coaches will run the team matches Team matches will only be conducted if there is enough athletes within a division High Performance Black belt Cadet, Junior, Senior, Masters, Team, Pair WTF Rules Electronic Scoring Instrument Two Required

10 Coach Registration Form Each Taekwondo school participating in The 6 th Sport TKD Open Tournament will be granted one free coach pass by registering at least one competitor on Tournament Days before February 27 & Additional coach passes will cost $ 20 pre-registered for one or two days. There is NO COACH REGISTRATION ON TOURNAMENT DAYS! All coaches must be black belts and registered with Kukkiwon and must be a good standing member of the Ontario Taekwondo Association.
