By examining patterns and making adjustments to things such as the parallel section, finish, and diameters, we are able to provide an affordable product that performs as you would expect in the field and at the range. Over the last few years we have grown our product line and some of this can be attributed to the Electronic Patterning Board (EPB) that we have at our disposal. This technology allows us to see various things such as point of impact (POI), pattern percentage, and pattern density. Using our EPB, we are able to get more accurate data than by doing this manually. This advantage is passed on to the customer by allowing us to design better choke tubes and gives our techs more information to pass along to our customers. This allows us to build choke tubes that you can shoot steel shot in a full choke constriction. When shooting steel shot, always shoot a more open choke than with lead because steel patterns are tighter at the same distance than lead shot. SHOOTING THIS CHOKE WITH LEAD WILL PATTERN LIKE THIS CHOKE WITH STEEL CARLSON S EXTENDED STEEL CHOKE TUBES & SPORTING CLAYS CHOKE TUBES These chokes pattern better with steel shot and throw 10 15% denser patterns than flush mount choke tubes. Lead, Hevi-Shot, Bismuth, and Tungsten Polymer may be used in all Carlson s Choke Tubes. Tungsten Iron Shot should be treated the same as steel shot. We recommend extended choke tubes for high velocity steel. Do not use any constriction tighter than Improved Modified with fast steel shotshells. No Steel shot bigger than BB or faster than 1550 FPS should be used through a full choke. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS Never shoot BBB, T, or F steel shot through ANY flush mount choke tube tighter than Full.
