Floor Gymnastics:pair work correction
Example: Pupils must Stand straight on their good leg, arms out to the side, chin up, legs straight and tight, belly in. They then Lift the back leg up behind making sure not to drop the chest forward. They should Hold a few seconds before returning to a stand. Drawing n 1: b) ARABESQUE
1) Pupils stand straight, legs together and arms extended to the side slightly above the shoulder. They Lift one leg sideward at hip level. It is essential to contract the core and keep the torso straight Drawing n 18: j) side scale
2) The pupil crouches down on the balls of his feet and tucks his head to the chest. He pushes on his feet to roll forward and uses the momentum to get back in a straight standing position Drawing n 8: m) Forward roll
3) It is a bascic position used in more advanced skills. Pupils start in a prone position, they place both hands under the shoulders and hold the position with straight arms. The back must remain straight. Drawing n 12: d) front support
4) Pupils start in a sitting position, legs extended and torso straight with both arms along the body. Then, they must lift their hips to the ceiling keeping a straight position from head to toes Drawing n 5: l) Back support
5) Starting in a supine position, the pupil lifts his knees with both hands to the side flat on the floor. He then straightens his legs keeping a straight line from shoulders to toes. Drawing n 16: c) Shoulder stand
6) The hands are along the body in a standing position. As the pupils slowly lifts one leg bending the knee, he also lifts both arms to the side. It is esential to keep the toes pointed throughout the drill Drawing n 15: p) One foot stand
7) with feet together on the floor, one arm is pushing on the floor while the other is extended upward for balance. Pupils should be able to hold the position for 2 seconds. Drawing n 3: p) Side support
8) The objective of this skill is to achieve a vertical upside down position. It's essential for pupils to squeeze their feet and legs together and tighten their abs Drawing n 9: r) Handstand
9) Pupils Start in a straight body position, arms spread to the side.they Swing both arms forward and overhead and push on the feet to extend the entire body into the air. They must land on both feet bending the knees to cushion the landing. Drawing n 7: h) Forward jump
10) Pupils start in a standing position, legs together and arms stretched to the ceiling, they take one step back and turn. While turning, pupils should lower their arms one after the other, being careful to keep them straight Drawing n 17: k) step turn
11) The pupil starts in a straight body position with both arms along the body. He crouches and jumps, swinging the arms forward and overhead for momentum. He then turns at the height of the jump, keeping a vertical line from head to toe. He lands facing the same direction. Drawing n 14:i) full turn jump
12) Start in an upright position, lift a leg and lean back to touch the floor with both hands. Throw the other leg to follow the first. You must then touch the floor one leg after the other and follow through to finish in an upright position facing the opposite direction. Drawing n 19: e) Back walkover
13) The pupil starts in a straight body position with both arms along the body. He crouches and jumps, swinging the arms forward and overhead for momentum. He then turns at the height of the jump, keeping a vertical line from head to toe. He lands facing the opposite direction. Drawing n 2: n) Half turn jump
14) Start in a crouching position, arms straight in front of you. Lean back, keeping both legs straight. Spread the legs when they pass over the head and push on the hands positioned to the side of the head. Land with arms and legs apart in an X pattern Drawing n 11: q) backward roll straddle
15) For this skill I tell my pupils to start on the side, legs and arms spread. Then I advise them to imagine a line on which they are going to put their arms in front of them by pushing on the lead foot. Both legs are straight and rise one after the other. Pupils must land on the non dominant foot. Drawing n 10: s) Cartwheel
16) The pupil starts in a squatting position on the balls of his feet, both hands to the side. He must drop his buttocks to the floor, putting both hands to the side of the head and pushing to execute a roll. He lands on his knees, arms extended to the side Drawing n 4: g) Backward roll onto knee
17) The objective of this move is to turn forward momentum from a run into backward momentum. Pupils have to extend their body placing both hands on the floor in front of them. When vertical, the legs should be joined together, the shoulder should twist and the pupil must push on his arms to land facing the opposite direction. Drawing n 13: f) round off
18) The pupil gets in a sitting position with both arms swinging upwards. He then pushes on his feet and lifts his arms following his hands with his eyes. He dives backward, body slightly arched. As the hands touch the floor, the arms should be kept straight. The legs swing over the head and he lands with knees slightly bent to cushion. Drawing n 6: o) Flic flac
