2 태권도선후배태권도가족들에게태권도의이름으로문안드립니다. 1972년태권도중앙도장으로개원한국기원은태권도의세계화와무예태권도의활성화에선도역할을해왔습니다. 국기원은 1973년제1회세계태권도선수권대회개최와세계태권도연맹발족을주도함으로써태권도세계화의기틀을마련했을뿐아니라, 각관별로난립하던초창기태권도의화합을이끌어낸결과, 1978년 10대관 ( 청도관, 무덕관, 지도관, 송무관, 창무관, 강덕원, 정도관, 오도관, 한무관, 관리관 ) 통합을이룩하는등태권도발전의초석을다졌습니다. 이제태권도는명실공히세계인의무도로성장하였고, 올림픽에서세계스포츠인들이선의의경쟁을하는스포츠의장으로도성장발전하였습니다. 국기원은미국각지역도장에발전과성장을희망하며국기원컵이라는이름으로작게나마개별도장을후원하고기억하려고합니다. 2017년 11월 3-4일에걸쳐국기원이후원하고저희 King Tiger Taekwondo가주최합니다. 이자리에태권도인모두를초대합니다. 이번국기원컵태권도대회는기존의방법과는달리겨루기, 품새, 격파를함께시연하도록하여종합점수로 1,2,3위를결정합니다. 하지만품새와겨루기는개별시상을먼저합니다. 이대회는한번등록으로품새, 겨루기그리고종합점수로 3개의메달까지받을수있습니다. 각도장에서학생들에게사범은겨루기, 품새, 격파모두를중요한과목으로다루어학생들에게수련을하도록합니다. 하지만시합은한가지에더중점을두고치러지는것이안타까워하신이현곤사범님의아이디어로모든종목을골고루시연하여종합점수로승자를가리는방식으로운영합니다. 현국기원에서도승단심사는품새, 겨루기, 그리고격파를포함하여승단심사를진행합니다. 그래서시합도국기원의심사처럼축제의방법으로모두가함께즐기고서로를배우자는방법으로선의의경쟁의장으로만들려고합니다. 2017년국기원컵에사범님, 학생, 가족모두참여하여모두축제로즐길수있기를기대합니다. Dear Friends and family in Taekwondo, Kukkiwon as the World Taekwondo Headquarters has vitalized Taekwondo in the form of the leading martial art by globalizing it since its foundation It laid the groundwork for Taekwondo's globalization by holding the 1st World Taekwondo Championships and establishing the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) in In 1978, Kukkiwon finally succeeded to unify Taekwondo by integrating ten separate Taekwondo Kwans: Chung Do Kwan, Moo Duk Kwan, Jido Kwan, Song Moo Kwan, Chang Moo Kwan, Kang Duk Won, Jung Do Kwan, Oh Do Kwan, Han Moo Kwan and Kwan li Kwan. Kukkiwon continued to cultivate the Taekwondo spirit and skills after establishing WTF and the 1st World Taekwondo Championships. As we all know, Taekwondo is no longer for just the people of Korea. It has become the martial art of all people. It became an Olympic sport, an excellent tool for elite athletes compete in the spirit of sports. The Kukkiwon understands that without you and your Dojang, all of this would not be possible- So they best wishes for each local Dojang and hope that you continue to grow. The Kukkiwon would like to support in any way possible. We would like to invite you for 2017 Kukkiwon Cup; this event is sanctioned by the Kukkiwon and hosted by the King Tiger Taekwondo Association. The 2017 Kukkiwon Cup is a bit different from ordinary Taekwondo Championships. Here is why: - All competitors must perform Kyorugi, Poomsae, and Kyukpa - Scores will be totaled, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd(2) winner will choose, however individual division Poomsae and Kyorugi will award 1,2,3rd medal, as well. - All Kukkiwon belt exam requirements are Kyorugi, Poomsae, and Kyukpa, so we implemented this idea into the Kukkiwon Cup. Which means All Around Winner. However, we will also recognize individual division (Poomsae & Kyorugi) winners as well. - Grand Championship for Poomsae and Kyorugi, it may be only a few selective divisions. - Tag team sparring match - Demo Team match We would like to make the 2017 Kukkiwon Cup be a festival for all Taekwondo competitors and families. 4 Qualifications Admission Fees Age Eligibility GENERAL INFORMATION Taekwondo practitioners ages 5 and up, all ranks including White Belt, who have trained and understand the Kukkiwon Taekwondo competition rules. $10 Children Ages 4 & Under free Competitors should compete in the age division that they are at the time of the tournament Access VIP & Guest Instructor (Coach) Grandmaster and Master: All access ID (Complimentary) Entrance access, No floor access Entrance access, floor access( only if students are present) Competition Rules The current Kukkiwon competition rules will govern this championship Mandatory Equipment Taekwondo Uniform Taekwondo sparring equipments Division (All competitor recommend to compete in all three, but it is not requirement) Poomsae, Kyorugi, Kyukpa ( Please check on each belt requirements on breaking and form) *** Each division consists with 4 people (may 3 or 5), will perform all in same court. Elite division and Festival division The elite division is for experienced competitors who wish to compete in high-quality competitors (black belt only 12-30yrs. old). The festival division is for inexperienced competitors who want to compete in a friendly match. Method of tournament Poomsae: 2 people perform together, winner move up to next round, do perform one more time Breaking: 2 people compete, winner move up to next round and do breaking again for final Sparring, winner of each match will move up to next round for final match. ** Each division consists with 4 people (may 3 or 5), will perform all in same court. Awards All Around one 1ST, one 2ND, and two 3RD place medal. Individual round Form and Sparring will receive 1st, 2nd and 3rd medal ** If all around score gets tied, we will not do another round, they will award as tied rank or place. 7 Demo team performance guideline *** If nine(9) or more team register we are going to have elimination match on Friday, November 3, 2017, 5-7:00 PM Stage size 10 m x 10 m Demo Team Fee: $200 ( Minimum requirement in a group: 15 people) Everyone involved in the demonstration will be considered a member regardless of how small or large the role. At least 75% of Demo Team Members must also be registered participants in the individual competition. Your performance must be 6 minutes long, plus 1 minute of set-up time and 1 minute of clean-up time. The performance timer will automatically start after 1 minute of set-up time, so if your team exceeds the set-up time limit, in addition to losing points, you will be using up your performance time. The Demo Team competition will be judged by a panel of judges composed of representatives from each competing team. Each team must send 1 representative to serve on the judges panel. It is preferable that your representative is a Black Belt, but you are welcome to send someone with no or little TKD experience as long as he/she understands the judging guidelines. Demo Teams should be made up primarily of students. The number of participating Masters/Interns must not exceed 10% of your Demo Team member count. (Remember that members are anyone participating in the performance, including board holders, helpers, etc.) Any Master/Intern performance CANNOT exceed 10% of your demonstration time. Special breaking materials need to be pre-approved. If you plan to use special breaking materials (concrete, fire, ice, or anything other than standard wood boards), you MUST get preapproval or take a chance at disqualification or point deduction. A music player will be provided with USB Flash Drive and digital options (such as ipod). It will be the responsibility of each team to test out the player ahead of time. Any technical difficulty that occurs during the performance is not the responsibility of the Championship host. The ONLY available times to test the system are Friday, November 3, 5-7pm or Saturday, November 4, before 8:45am. We will NOT allow you to play with the system after 7:15pm on Friday. We will be holding a Meeting for Demo Team Captains at 10:30am on the day of the championship. Please send your demo team captain or a team representative to this meeting.
